Charlie Kirk was an inspiration to young conservatives the world over. The immensely popular commentator had a huge following in his native United States and beyond. His social media accounts have more followers than Vice President JD Vance, such was the impact of this young man.
He took Christian and libertarian values into college campuses and debated with left-wing students articulately, calmly and fearlessly. Video clips of his exchanges would frequently go viral.
On Wednesday he was shot dead during one such appearance, at a university in Utah. He was 31 and leaves a wife and two young children.
Charlie Kirk was a peaceful man, a family man, a devout Christian and a patriot. We are sending thoughts and prayers to his young family, two of whom were sadly present when he was shot. A sad, sad loss to the Western world and efforts to preserve it.
