Sagal Abdi-Wali is looking to replace Keir Starmer as MP for Holborn and St Pancras

Nominations for the forthcoming Holborn and St Pancras by-election have closed.  There will 15 candidates vying to replace Keir Starmer on October 8, including two leftist party leaders.  Zack Polanski is looking for a path into the Commons, but his hopes have not been helped by the presence of George Galloway, who leads the Workers Party of Britain.  Galloway's decision has not gone down too well on the left, with another ex-Labour MP - Chris Williamson - resigning from the party in protest at what he perceives as a vote splitting exercise.  Williamson knows that Polanski will be the main challenger to Labour.  This is the heart of woke London, after all.

Ladbrokes currently have Labour as odds on favourites at 1/6, with the Greens on 4/1.

Despite recent rumours about an attempt to get David Miliband back into government, he reportedly declined the opportunity to stand in Holborn, effectively putting those rumours to bed for the foreseeable future.  He clearly feels he is better put to use continuing in his longstanding role in charge of the globalist people smuggler outfit International Rescue.

Instead, Labour have selected the Somali-born leader of Camden Council.  The sight of this hijab-wearing refugee posing alongside a crowd of diverse non-white Labour activists will be another eye opener for the shires.  The next MP for Holborn and St Pancras will be either a Muslim or a Jew, such is London these days.

Twelve candidates contested the same constituency in 2024 - a hefty ballot paper for a general election - but party leaders' seats are where the national media is focused and the narcissistic allure is too great for the likes of Nick the Incredible Flying Brick and others.  For context, Rishi Sunak's constituency attracted even more candidates in 2024 - 13 in all - with Count Binface among the candidates looking to gloat over the end of his premiership.

Far left activist Andrew Feinstein did exceptionally well in 2024, taking a huge chunk out of Starmer's majority, but declined to stand again.  If only George Galloway had the same socialist unity in mind, Zack's crazy gang could have been in with a much better chance of doing Burnham some real harm...
