The co-operation agreement between Labour and Plaid Cymru has now been ratified by the party leaders.  Remember, this was the deal that would not happen 'under any circumstances' according to Plaid's leader Adam Price.  Labour will now govern Wales with a helping hand from the hard left Welsh separatists.

Plaid Cymru members have voted in favour of a 'co-operation agreement' with the governing Labour Party of Wales. 94 per cent of Plaid's members backed the deal, which stops short of a formal coalition.  There will be no Plaid ministers in the Welsh government, but the wide-ranging agreement ensures that Wales will remain firmly in the grip of the hard left for the next three years.

Despite Labour being by far the largest party in the Senedd following May's election, they were still one seat short of an overall majority.  This was not disastrous for them in the short term, as they could generally rely on their fellow leftists in Plaid Cymru to pass legislation.  However, a divergence between the two parties would cause problems for Mark Drakeford and so - after six months of talks - a deal has been agreed.

There are 46 policies in the agreement, which can be read in full here.  These policies include a tourist tax, the creation of a publicly owned energy provider and the expansion of the Senedd from its current 60 members to either 80 or 100.  The latter is clearly aimed at securing Labour's long term position in government and finally achieving the outright majority that has eluded them since the inception of home rule in 1999.  Most of the extra seats will come from South Wales, where Labour support is strongest.

Plaid have gone into coalition with Labour before in Wales - in 2007.  Plaid's leader Adam Price hailed the agreement as a seed for 'a new society, a new Wales, a new beginning'.  It's a remarkable turnaround for a guy who said prior to May's election that his party 'would not support a Labour government under any circumstances'.  Click below for the clip and note the response of the presenter to Price's seemingly decisive stance...

It took a little longer than a couple of months for Price to be shown up as yet another disingenuous politician, but his u-turn couldn't be clearer.

ENEMY OF MY ENEMY

Sinn Fein refuse to take their seats in Parliament, but they are still trying to influence the Brexit process by linking up with Brexit blocking mainland parties.  The Marxists continue to maintain close links with Corbyn's Labour, but also the separatist parties in Scotland and Wales.  It's only natural for such alliances to blossom as both Plaid and the SNP also look to undermine the British state and ultimately break it up.  'The enemy of my enemy is my friend' is a very appropriate term, but these parties share so much more.

The SNP, Plaid, Sinn Fein and Labour are all situated on the left and in the case of the so-called 'nationalist' parties they all vehemently oppose Brexit.  This is particularly distasteful in the case of Plaid, in that Wales voted Leave, but it also further illustrates the falsehood that these are nationalist parties.  Advocating independence for the home nations, but within the European Union, is a laughably absurd policy.  There is no independence for any member state of the EU, only submission, diktat and slavery.

Sinn Fein, Plaid and the SNP also share outlandish policies in their attitudes to multi-culturalism and mass immigration.  Despite appealing to actual nationalist tendencies by espousing the preservation of cultural identity, they all support mass immigration to the point of Labour-style open borders.  Open for all that is, except for those nasty English.  The hypocrisy is staggering.  A migrant who has settled in Wales, having at least some basic knowledge of the English language, is even less likely to learn Welsh than an English person who has relocated to Wales - and yet Plaid, the so-called 'Party of Wales', promote freedom of movement.

These are not nationalists.  These are leftists appealing to nationalist sentiment, but whose agenda is to deliver a new state trapped inside the EU while the national, cultural and ethnic integrity of said state goes down the pan in favour of mass migration and submission to a foreign power (the European Union).  The only way to protect the cultural identity of Scotland and Wales is to maintain our United Kingdom, free and independent of Brussels.  The EU is not your friend, or your saviour.  Neither is Sinn Fein.

ANOTHER PLAID PILLOCK

Having seen off incumbent Leanne Wood in a recent leadership election, you'd be mistaken for thinking new Plaid Cymru leader Adam Price might take the party in a new direction.  Nope, still out to block Brexit and bring in the Third World.  Price told the BBC this week Brexit must be stopped, somewhat at odds with a clear majority of Welsh voters who voted Leave in 2016.

"The Party of Wales has to say very very clearly to the Welsh people - we're on the Titanic, we're heading to an iceberg.  We have to use every opportunity that is there to avert what I think could be one of the biggest disasters that has befallen our people for many a generation".

Judging by this interview Price is not a shrewd operator.  He is basically calling his own people stupid, that they were wrong and, of course, he knows best.  He also claims that Brexit will harm manufacturing, yet an overwhelming majority of the Welsh working class voted Leave, particularly in the Valleys, home of Wales' manufacturing base.  He clearly doesn't care much for their views, but then his party is not truly a 'nationalist' party.

What kind of 'nationalist' supports mass immigration, an open border policy whereby cheap labour replaces the homegrown workforce, drives down wages across the board and puts local people at the back of the housing queue?  Plaid Cymru are open borders enthusiasts, much like fellow 'plastic nationalists' in the SNP and Sinn Fein.  Open borders, that is, unless you're English.

True, most English people who settle in Wales are not prepared to learn Welsh, but overseas migrants are even less likely to do so.  Plaid's immigration policy is senseless.  What's more, Plaid are so blinkered in their belief that uncontrolled migration is anything but good, that they cannot bring themselves to admit that the main reason so many English people move to Wales is to escape the effects of... mass immigration!
