STARMER IS A C***

Unfortunately, Starmer wasn't at Saturday's game

On Saturday night around 7,000 England away fans took up a couple of chants that summed up the general mood of the nation.  To the tune of 'Give it Up' by KC and the Sunshine Band, they sang "Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na-na-na now, Starmer is a c***, is a c***, Starmer is a c***."  They are also reported to have chanted "Keir Starmer is a wanker, is a wanker."

The fans had travelled to Barcelona, but were subjected to one of the most dire performances in living memory as their team struggled to beat that 'mighty' football nation of Andorra - population less than Weston-super-Mare.  Perhaps it was a sign of their frustration beyond the footy, that inspired them to strike up the chant.  Despite ITV's attempts to phase out the chants, they were audible enough to make headlines.

On Sunday morning, Trevor Phillips of Sky News put it to Labour minister Peter Kyle that the obscene chants displayed a 'level of unpopularity' that was perhaps 'a little early' in Labour's term.  Hove MP Kyle tried to laugh off the question by inferring that the England team do not concern him, as he only watches Brighton and Hove Albion.  Not a good response, if you are on a national station trying to win over the nation.

Kyle's floundering response didn't get any better as he added:  "This is football chanting, is it not the spirit of the game?"  Phillips pointed to the England manager's assessment of the chanting, who said it had been 'unacceptable'.  Kyle then embarked on the usual 'we've had to take difficult decisions' line, because Labour inherited such a mess from the terrible Tories.

Watch the clip below.

No, Peter, England fans won't be chanting 'nice things about' Labour next time around.  They won't forget in a hurry that all their bills continue to rise, their disposable income shrinks, crime continues to spiral and the invasion by small boats grows.  These are the consequences of decisions that you say you 'had to make', but which you had previously pledged not to make.

In short, you lied in order to get into office.

GOVERNED BY SCUM

On many occasions during the latter stages of this pandemic we have shifted focus away from Labour and to the Tory government in Westminster.  They have behaved atrociously and continue to do so without any hint of shame - as do, it must be said, their socialist counterparts in Edinburgh and Cardiff.  So when any of our disgraceful overlords finally get a comeuppance it's worth broadcasting.  Step forward Trevor Phillips, who shamed the Northern Ireland Secretary on Sunday in a very powerful and emotive interview.

The full interview can be seen below and what's interesting to note is that this is not GB News - this is Sky News.  The lockdown narrative may be shifting, finally...

The contemptible responses of Brandon Lewis during this interview tell you everything you need to know about how you are perceived by government.  You are ants to them.  Remember this, always.

CANCEL CULTURE SPREADS

The cancel culture unleashed by Black Lives Matter and their media backers has now spread beyond statues and TV comedy.  The Rugby Football Union is planning a review on whether to ban the popular terrace anthem Swing Low, Sweet Chariot and Uncle Ben's rice is to remove the black farmer from its famous logo.

Once again the BLM Marxist trend is following a similar pattern to the US.  Earlier this week it was revealed that the US-based Aunt Jemima syrup brand would be removing the black lady from its logo and changing its name.  The brand has maintained its name and logo for 130 years, but now suddenly its origins are deemed too offensive.

Trevor Phillips, the former head of the Commission for Racial Equality, lashed out at the RFU's decision to review Swing Low, Sweet Chariot...

While the mainstream media has ignored such views, and the understandable anger of England rugby fans, they have been very busy this morning talking up a supporter of the review - former England rugby player Martin Offiah.  However, Offiah is not supporting a ban, as the following interview with TalkRadio's Julia Hartley-Brewer shows.

The mainstream media is once again supporting the Marxist culture zealots, but unlike the censorship of TV shows and products such as Uncle Ben's - which is out of the control of consumers - the RFU will be hard pushed to stop tens of thousands of England supporters singing an anthem they have belted out for decades.  We have seen sporting capitulation on football pitches this week with 'taking the knee' before games in scenes reminiscent of Nazi Germany, something that the FA has been able to introduce without embarrassment as there are no fans present to make their feelings known.  However, the re-introduction of fans to the sporting arena could throw a spanner in the works and it will be interesting to see how the authorities will drown out dissenting voices.

MOST SHARED: WEEK 256

It was a week when former race relations chief Trevor Phillips was suspended by Labour for being 'racist'.  One of his long list of 'offences' was to state that the paedophile grooming gangs roaming many of our towns and cities were "mostly of Pakistani Muslim origin".  He's obviously not wrong there, but such facts are frowned upon in his party, something that cost former frontbencher Sarah Champion her job in 2017.  Contrast their treatment with that of Bradford West MP Naz Shah.  About a week after Champion was forced out, Naz Shah shared a tweet that suggested grooming gang victims should shut their mouths for the good of diversity.  A few months later she was made the Shadow Minister of State for Diversity (yes, there is such a role).

SARKAR'S HYPOCRISY CHALLENGED

Ash Sarkar was on TalkRadio yesterday to discuss, or rather defend, Labour's suspension of Trevor Phillips.  As predicted, the Corbynistas sprang up in condemnation of Phillips with some bizarrely
suggesting that he was 'no longer black'.  TalkRadio's Dan Wootton turned the argument on Sarkar and brought up the video clip of her that went viral recently.  In the clip Sarkar mocked the declining population of native Londoners.  What ensued was a cringeworthy explanation from Sarkar that included her asking: "Are we not allowed to take the mick out of positions that we find absurd?"  Wootton had teed up perfectly for this response as one of Labour's charges against Phillips related to a joke he'd made about being 'Islamophobe of the year'.  Gotcha.

MUSLIMS 'NOT A RACE'

Trevor Phillips has defended himself in a series of media interviews today after he was sensationally suspended by the Labour Party.  Speaking to LBC's Nick Ferrari he lashed out at Labour MPs and the definition of Islamophobia they had drawn up.  Phillips argues that their decision to equate Islamophobia with racism is false.  Islam is not defined by race as it is a "pan-racial, non-racial faith".  This is self evident to anyone who isn't on the left.  He also says that, again quite rightly, silence over grooming gangs in places like Rotherham was responsible for the suffering of hundreds of children.

Watch the full interview below.

TREVOR PHILLIPS SUSPENDED BY LABOUR

Trevor Phillips

Labour have suspended the former chairman of the Commission for Racial Equality over alleged 'Islamophobia'.  Trevor Phillips was informed of his suspension by the party's general secretary Jennie Formby in an 11 page letter citing numerous statements made by Mr Phillips.  He is charged with "using language which targets or intimidates members of ethnic or religious communities, or incites racism, including Islamophobia".  The move follows an alleged complaint, although The Times reports that the identity of the complainant was not disclosed to Mr Phillips.

Some of the offending statements date back years and a reference to grooming gangs is among them.  In a 2016 article entitled Race and Faith: The Deafening Silence, Phillips wrote: "The most sensitive cause of conflict in recent years has been the collision between majority norms and the behaviours of some Muslim groups.  In particular, the exposure of systematic and longstanding abuse by men, mostly of Pakistani Muslim origin in the north of England".  This is further proof, as if any were needed, that Labour wants to suppress any discussion around grooming gangs.

In the same article he describes how he attended an Islamic conference prior to Remembrance Sunday and saw only one poppy among those attending.  He compared this with another visit that day in which he saw many black and European migrants wearing poppies.  "One group had clearly adapted to the mainstream, the other had not", he noted.  Also cited in Formby's letter are Phillips' concerns regarding a poll that showed one in four British Muslims expressing sympathy towards those who carried out the 2015 Charlie Hebdo massacre.

Phillips was head of the CRE from 2003 and continued as chair when it was rebranded the Equality and Human Rights Commission in 2006.  It's perhaps no coincidence that the EHRC is currently investigating the Labour party over anti-Semitism and its report is expected at some point in the near future.  Although Phillips is no longer involved in the EHRC he has become an outspoken critic of Labour anti-Semitism and Jeremy Corbyn's leadership in recent years.  Writing in today's Times he surmises that the motives for his suspension could be in part vengeance for his criticism, but also a means to discredit the EHRC ahead of the publication of its findings.  He writes: "Weaponising Islamophobia to attack political opponents may seem like clever tactics but trying to intimidate a legally independent organisation is pure political gangsterism".

Among those who have sprung to Phillips' defence include Labour MP Khalid Mahmood.  The Pakistan-born member for Birmingham Perry Barr said: "The charges were so outlandish as to bring disrepute on all involved in making them".

This is an insidious move by Labour to head off the EHRC report.  Not much will be said about it by Corbyn or those around him.  Justification will be left to his proxies, the die hard loyalists of Novara Media such as Boring Bastani and Literally A Communist Sarkar.  All that will be proven by this venture is that Labour and the left are intent on silencing any debate around Islamism, from terrorism to grooming gangs.

24 SAY NO TO CORBYN

The Guardian has published an open letter from 24 prominent figures stating their opposition to Jeremy Corbyn.  The list includes actors, writers, journalists, historians and TV presenters.  Their main beef is the rise of anti-Semitism on Corbyn's watch.  It's doubtful anyone would recognise all 24 signatories if they passed them in the street, so we've put their main professions in brackets.

The full text:

The coming election is momentous for every voter, but for British Jews it contains a particular anguish: the prospect of a prime minister steeped in association with antisemitism.  Under Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership, Labour has come under formal investigation by the Equality and Human Rights Commission for institutional racism against Jews.  Two Jewish MPs have been bullied out of the party. Mr Corbyn has a long record of embracing antisemites as comrades.

We listen to our Jewish friends and see how their pain has been relegated as an issue, pushed aside by arguments about Britain’s European future.  For those who insist that Labour is the only alternative to Boris Johnson’s hard Brexit, now, it seems, is not the time for Jewish anxiety.

But antisemitism is central to a wider debate about the kind of country we want to be.  To ignore it because Brexit looms larger is to declare that anti-Jewish prejudice is a price worth paying for a Labour government.  Which other community’s concerns are disposable in this way?  Who would be next?

Opposition to racism cannot include surrender in the fight against antisemitism.  Yet that is what it would mean to back Labour and endorse Mr Corbyn for Downing Street.  The path to a more tolerant society must encompass Britain’s Jews with unwavering solidarity.  We endorse no party.  However, we cannot in all conscience urge others to support a political party we ourselves will not.  We refuse to vote Labour on 12 December.

A Labour spokesman was later quoted by the Guardian:  "It’s extraordinary that several of those who have signed this letter have themselves been accused of antisemitism, Islamophobia and misogyny.  It’s less surprising that a number are Conservatives and Lib Dems."  One signatory expressed his dismay at the Labour response.

The campaign against Corbyn is sure to grow ahead of the election, especially seeing that the party is now creeping up some of the polls.
