PARLER RETURNS

Parler has returned five weeks after it was driven offline by a co-ordinated big tech assault.  Our account was restored, albeit without all previous 'parleys' - casualties of Amazon's decision to pull the servers.  Our small following remains fully intact (a following that had almost doubled in the 48 hours prior to Parler's disappearance).

Some functionality is missing via web browser, so we are currently unable to share visual content ie. memes and videos.  We are experiencing no such issues on Gab.

For the record, we find the removal of Parler co-founder John Matze as CEO very distasteful.  The timing of his departure came after he, as the public face of Parler, had endured weeks of media smears and we should not forget that it was he alone that provided the public defence of Parler as the big tech attack unfolded.

Regardless, our quibbles with Parler are insignificant compared with Twitter - a platform that we appear to be indefinitely barred from using.  Our second appeal against the ban is now five months old and it's clear that it will never see the light of day.  We do have the option of cancelling the appeal and de facto admitting our guilt, something that we are considering in the near future, but only as a means to promote Gab and Parler on their platform.

It's vital that conservatives, libertarians and patriots expand their horizons beyond the big tech monopoly.  If they can come for Trump, they'll have no qualms coming for us or you!

WE'RE NOW ON GAB

With Parler offline thanks to the co-ordinated efforts of Silicon Valley and our Facebook pages under constant threat, we have now set up an account on another free speech app - Gab.  If you're already 'gabbing', please follow us here.  Apologies for the Corbyn wallpaper, this is temporary as Karl will begin working on new cover photos soon (including a long-awaited update for the top of binlabour.com).

It was never our intention to expand beyond our existing social media presence, but with both Twitter and Facebook continuing to censor our accounts, we have no choice but to keep our options open by exploring new avenues.  Gab was recommended by a number of BTLP followers.

On another good note, Parler's CEO reports progress in getting the site back up and running (see below).  The domain name is already back online with a holding page.

DORSEY TROLLS PARLER

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey subtly applauded the demise of his competitor Parler on Sunday.  Following its removal from Google's Play Store on Saturday, Parler quickly became the most downloaded app on the Apple App Store.  However, that ended when Apple also deleted the free speech app.

Dorsey celebrated with a screenshot showing that Parler had disappeared from Apple's number one slot, adding a simple heart emoji to show his appreciation for this co-ordinated and sinister attack on free speech.

If there is any doubt about Dorsey's political allegiances, his Twitter page and some of the official Twitter accounts continue to display a black cover photo to emphasise their support for Black Lives Matter.  Make no mistake, the attack on Parler was not so much about removing the competition as it was about silencing conservative voices.

Parler's CEO John Matze responded to Dorsey's tweet via his own network: "Yeah, we were number one until the fake news rage mob at Twitter and your anti-competitive friends went after us.  That's real cute".  Dorsey also pointed out the hypocrisy of the tech giants' logic, pointing out that the hashtag #HangMikePence was allowed to trend for hours on Twitter.

Less than 24 hours later and Parler disappeared from the internet altogether after Amazon completed the all-out tech assault.  We will let you know if and when it re-emerges.  Meanwhile, we are still trying to set up a Gab account, but the site keeps crashing and/or timing out every time we try to sign up.

PARLER GOES OFFLINE

As expected, Amazon has purged social media app Parler from the internet.  The tech giant made good on its promise to lock the self-styled free speech app out of its servers.  Despite an earlier statement that Parler could be back online, potentially within a week, CEO John Matze told Fox News on Sunday that his company was struggling to find any alternative vendors prepared to host his app.  Click below for that interview.

Even before this co-ordinated assault against online speech, these were dark days for liberty across the West.  Ironically, the place where coronavirus originated now enjoys more freedom than we do.  The Chinese government still has its Twitter accounts too, but then the actions of big tech in the last few days is straight out of their communist playbook.

AMAZON TO TAKE DOWN PARLER

The latest move in the sinister war on free speech could see Parler disappear altogether on Sunday.  Following its removal from the app stores of Google and Apple, the site will now potentially be shut down via Amazon.  It seems that the free speech app that became home to millions fleeing the tyranny of the left-wing tech monopoly is itself ultimately reliant on the tech monopoly.  Parler CEO John Matze warned that Amazon's decision to shut down its servers could leave the site offline temporarily 'for up to a week'.

There is simply no doubt that the events of the last few days is a co-ordinated attempt to silence conservative voices - beginning with the Facebook/Instagram ban of President Trump, followed by the complete removal of his Twitter account (and a number of his prominent supporters) and then an almost simultaneously all-out assault on Parler beginning with Google, followed by Apple and now Amazon.

Let's see those names again, and I implore anyone to say this was not a co-ordinated attack on free speech...

This is tech tyranny.  Yesterday, when we tried to post a link to Parler on Facebook, the following sinister warning popped up informing us that 'pages and website that repeatedly publish or share false news will see their overall distribution reduced and restricted'.  Our distribution has already been heavily restricted.  Despite having over 110,000 followers, we barely reach a fraction of them and our following has stagnated for around six months.  This is called 'shadow banning' and because we are not politically aligned with the woke agenda we are already being suppressed.

The link we were trying to share was to the Parler app and nothing to do with a story about Malia Obama.

We expect BTLP to be completely removed from Facebook at some point in the near future, although we will try and safeguard the main page by continuing to operate primarily from the back-up page.  Please follow us there, but also on YouTube and Parler if you can.  We are also reliant on the tech monopoly and can also be disappeared relatively quickly.  See links below...

SILICON VALLEY DECLARES WAR

On the day that Twitter finally went ahead and pulled the plug on the democratically elected leader of the 'Free World', its fellow tech giant Google enacted an equally sinister move.  It was no coincidence that the Parler app - which models itself as a free speech alternative to Twitter - was removed from the Google Play Store hours after Twitter acted.  Additionally, Apple gave Parler 24 hours notice that it intended to remove it from its App Store too - if the platform didn't 'comply with [Apple's] content-moderation requirements'.

Twitter didn't just come for Trump, it deleted a whole host of pro-Trump accounts including that of his campaign team and his former national security advisor Michael Flynn.  When the President tweeted from official US government accounts in response to the ban Twitter deleted the tweets.

Twitter's totalitarian actions came the day after Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that Trump would be suspended from Facebook for at least the rest of his presidency.  His page is still visible, but the President is barred from posting.

Clearly, the gloves are now off and war has been declared on conservative thought and opinion.  No-one elected these billionaire tech CEOs, but they now wield a frightening level of power over Western democracy, liberty and free speech.  While Parler's chief executive has issued a defiant statement to the the tech giants waging war on his platform, access to the app for new users will have been severely hampered by Google's actions.  John Matze wrote on Parler: "We won't cave to politically motivated companies and those authoritarians who hate free speech!"

If you're not already on Parler, you can still download it on from their website and we at BTLP would urge all our followers to do so as a matter of urgency.  We expect Facebook to pull the plug on both our accounts this year, while we still remain barred from accessing our Twitter account months after issuing a second appeal to our ban.  YouTube is no better.  Last week it deleted TalkRadio's channel, which has almost a quarter of a million subscribers.  Although it later reinstated the channel, the reason for its removal was sinister indeed - TalkRadio had broadcast alternative views on coronavirus and voiced opposition to lockdown.

As if all this wasn't frightening enough - bearing in mind it comes at a time that many Western governments have imposed devastating curbs on people's liberties - the assault on conservative speech goes even further than social media.  Tucker Carlson of Fox News reports that left-wing broadcaster CNN is trying to get Fox taken off air (see video below).

Incidentally, Tucker Carlson is one of a number of conservative commentators who mysteriously lost tens of thousands of followers during the Twitter purge.  As you can clearly see on the Social Blade Twitter stats website, Tucker inexplicably lost over 70,000 followers on the same day as Twitter banned Donald Trump.  This is not a coincidence, this is suppression.

The tech giants and mainstream media want to silence conservative voices and create a world in which everyone follows their woke rules.  We have to resist this.  Begin by downloading Parler now.

TWITTER'S WOKE WORDPLAY

Remember years ago when it was said that the word 'blackboard' was offensive and should be phased out in favour of chalkboard?  Some people said it was an urban myth, but the fact remains that these days you won't hear it referred to as a blackboard in school any more.  In today's world of social media it's much harder to dismiss things as 'urban myths', especially when those encouraging such woke wordplay are those who actually run social media.

Another example of Twitter's descent into totalitarian left-wing bias arrived last week thanks to one of their official blue tick accounts.  The guys (sorry, folks or people) at Twitter Engineering tweeted last Thursday that they intended to use more 'inclusive language' and would encourage the use of the following words in place of 'non-inclusive language'.

The thread suggests that the terms will be enforced 'across internal resources', adding: "Words matter in our meetings, our conversations, and the documents we write".  Once again this is a slippery slope and who knows where it will end?  Many are now of the mindset that Twitter will eventually become a wholly left-wing social media outlet where conservatives, nationalists and even centrists are banned.  Perhaps one day use of any of the above terms such as 'blacklist' or 'he/him/her' will result in a ban.  Indeed, the programmer who is reported to have spearheaded the 'inclusive words' initiative tweeted last week that the intention was to "eventually adopt inclusive language across Twitter".  By 'adopt' we assume he means 'enforce'.

That programmer is Regynald Austin.  Austin was inspired by an email he received that included the technical term 'automatic slave rekick'.  He was so 'offended' that he embarked on his word crusade: "I was madder than I ever thought I'd be in the workplace.  This has to stop.  This isn't cool.  We have to change this now".

Strangely, for someone so offended by terms that he says "hearken back to oppressive parts of United States history and culture" his Twitter handle is @negroprogrammer.  Surely he should begin by censoring himself!

PARLER MOPS UP

The totalitarian left-wing bias of social media and the tech industry has reached fever pitch as the Black Lives Matter insurrection continues around the Western world.  Twitter has been one of the worst offenders and has taken to censoring the leader of the free world.  This is how the official Twitter account looks like at the moment...

It appears from the black Twitter logo, the black cover photo and the various black lives matter messages that Twitter has now become an official sponsor of the BLM Marxists.  Since June 19 the Twitter account has tweeted about little other than Black Lives Matter, including retweeting a video from another official Twitter account encouraging black people to engage in 'resistance and rebellion in a system built to destroy you'.

Telling black people that the 'system' is out to get them and they are constantly being oppressed is not going to advance black lives one bit.  Turning a whole community into victims and telling them they either have to take or be given stuff instead of earning it is a recipe for disaster.  It's also creating racial division the like of which we haven't seen for years.

If Twitter is going to continue on its current course of action - censorship of the right, while promoting the destructive agenda of the hard left - then at some point something will have to give.  Turns out that there is already an app dealing Twitter a serious blow.

The hashtags #Parler and #Twexit were trending on Twitter earlier this week as tens of thousands of users went across to a rival app called Parler.  Some maintained a Twitter account, while others abandoned it altogether.  Parler markets itself as the 'free speech network' and as such has attracted thousands of right-leaning politicians, celebrities and activists.  As of Wednesday Bin The Labour Party has also joined Parler and you can follow our account here.   We will not be ditching our Twitter account just yet, but at such a time that Twitter bans everyone on the right we can now rest assured that we have a second home to fall back on.
