LEGO HEAD VS DOG WHISTLE

The contest to replace Angela Rayner as Labour's deputy leader will be a head to head between Bridget 'Lego Head' Phillipson and Lucy 'Dog Whistle' Powell.  Emily Thornberry and Paula Barker dropped out earlier on Thursday, as they had no chance of garnering the 80 nominations required from MPs.  Bell Ribeiro-Addy was the only other remaining candidate, but she too failed to get anywhere near the threshold.

MP Nominations

Bridget Phillipson (Houghton & Sunderland South) ..... 175
Lucy Powell (Manchester Central) ................................ 117
Bell Ribeiro-Addy (Clapham & Brixton Hill) ................ 24

The smart money will be on frontbencher Phillipson to succeed Rayner.  She is seen as one of Labour's rising stars, while Powell is still freshly tainted by her frontbench sacking over her despicable rape gang remarks.

BLM RETURN TO THE STREETS

The BLM placards are out again on the streets of London.  Hundreds of protesters marched on Scotland Yard following the fatal shooting of a black rapper by police in Streatham.  This protest was peaceful, but that's how it started two years ago - before descending into running battles with police and widespread vandalism of British historical monuments.  The Marxists who sponsor these protests do not have peace in their hearts.  Some of the protesters concealed their faces and others wore paramilitary style clothing, including what appeared to be stab-proof vests.

Two members of Labour's Socialist Campaign Group were also in attendance on Saturday - Diane Abbott and Bell Ribeiro-Addy.  A third, Zarah Sultana, later tweeted that she had attended a vigil in honour of the dead man.  Ribeiro-Addy addressed the crowd during the protest and has been particularly vocal following the incident.  On Wednesday she wrote an article for the Independent.

It is a rare thing for someone to be shot by armed police in this country.  A black civilian is far more likely to be shot by another black civilian, but the left rarely concern themselves with such an epidemic of crime.  It does not present them with an opportunity to pedal division and provoke a fiery reaction.

It is eleven years since the riots which followed another police shooting in London, that of Mark Duggan.  That situation escalated very quickly and would lead to five deaths, hundreds of injuries and widespread destruction of property.  More protests are planned in relation to the Chris Kaba death and who knows where they will lead.  The left want a British George Floyd, but as always the truth is not as straightforward as they paint it.

The Audi which Kaba was driving on the night in question reportedly did not belong to him.  However, the vehicle had been linked to a recent shooting and that is why it was pursued.  Mr Kaba failed to stop and eventually the police had to ram the vehicle.  A witness later told the Evening Standard that even after the vehicle was brought to a halt and boxed in by police cars, the driver refused to co-operate: "He was trying to ram his way out and could have easily killed a policeman.  He was using his car as a weapon."  The witness says armed police ordered the occupant to exit the vehicle 'at least a dozen times' before a single gun shot was discharged into the windscreen.

Mr Kaba was struck and later died of his injuries.  He was unarmed.

The truth will out eventually, but patience is thin on the ground and the left are ratcheting up tensions.  The 2011 riots occurred at the height of summer, but with cold nights drawing in hopefully time is running out for a repeat.

LABOUR'S FORGOTTEN CHILDREN

An event took place in north London on Saturday entitled 'Conference for the Black Child'.  The title was inspired by 'Child Q', a black schoolgirl reportedly strip-searched by Met officers who were called in after teachers claimed to smell cannabis on her.  The Child Q story forms the basis for much of the event, which claims there is institutional racism 'at the heart of the British establishment', primarily in education.  The conference is chaired by none other than Diane Abbott (quelle surprise?) with contributions from Labour colleagues including Bell Ribeiro-Addy, Apsana Begum and Baroness Chakrabarti.  Presumably Dawn Butler and Dave Lammy were unavailable.

The full itinerary can be found below.

As you can see, there is an obsession with perceived 'institutional racism' against children.  However, there is no mention of child grooming for sex.  Whereas they talk about 'Child Q' - a singular case - there have been tens of thousands of British schoolchildren groomed by gangs, many of whom at the school gates.  We know the reason they don't mention it and it is, ironically, their own institutional racism.  From council authorities and social services to the police, grooming gangs were allowed to operate for years with impunity because the perpetrators were Asian.  Labour politicians, including its current leader, have stonewalled the victims - who are overwhelmingly white.

Racism cuts both ways Diane Abbott and co.

'HOUSE THEM ALL' SAY MOMENTUM

The open borders lobby have swung into action following the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan.  The 'refugees welcome' placards are currently being dusted off as the left bemoan the government's generous commitment to immediately take 5,000 Afghans, with a further 15,000 later on.  'It's not enough' has been the predictable response.  Labour's far left Momentum group goes further and says that Britain must accept all Afghan refugees.  Without any thought for strains on an already struggling NHS, shrinking jobs market and growing national debt, the following tweet shows just how crazed these leftists are...

The tweet was accompanied by a video featuring Streatham MP Bell Ribeiro-Addy who urged Britain to do more, although she stopped short of directly calling for our already overcrowded island to import potentially millions of people.  Watch below.

At the time of writing the Change petition started by Momentum has attracted barely 200 signatures.  The petition repeats the group's assertion that Britain should house all Afghans fleeing the Taliban, adding that all Afghans already here should be given permanent leave to remain.  In Bell's video they include a brief shot of both Bush and Blair, before cutting to the much hated Blair.  The reality is that the invasion of Afghanistan was a US-led operation, as was the 20 year occupation.  Yes, Britain and a whole host of other Western countries were involved to a much smaller degree, but why should Britain alone accept all Afghan refugees?  If we must do anything at all, then surely Sleepy Joe and other Western leaders should step up to the plate too?

What the left also fail to acknowledge is that Britain is already seeing a daily influx of migrants as it is, many of whom are Afghans.  Boat crossings from France have already reached a record high this year and that was after just seven months.  The left may complain that 5,000 Afghans is not enough, but we have already seen more than twice that number land on the shores of Kent this year.

By all means we can house a small number of interpreters, but not every single Afghan who doesn't want to live under Taliban rule.  5,000 is too many, 20,000 is absurd.  Britain is full up.

THE LEFT UNLEASH THE COLUMN

Labour's Zarah Sultana addresses a protest in Coventry

The viral video of a convoy of cars blaring out vile anti-Semitic abuse in Jewish neighbourhoods of London yesterday has been widely condemned across the political spectrum - apart from those on the far left, naturally.  While Johnson, Starmer and their front bench colleagues were tweeting words of condemnation, there was silence from the likes of Corbyn, McDonnell, Burgon and Abbott.

Many MPs on the hard left participated directly in the protests over the weekend.  They gave passionate speeches, whipping up the mob into a frenzy of hate and fury.  If President Trump was responsible for the Capitol riot, these firebrand leftists are responsible for the flag-burning and missile throwing outside the Israeli embassy.

London protest

Zarah Sultana was a busy girl in particular and addressed two protests - one in Coventry on Saturday and one in London on Sunday.  Her brief London speech consisted of a four minute rant, during which she screeched so loudly she almost lost her voice (watch below).

It was quite a performance from the young MP, but one wonders how her constituents feel about her efforts.  It's a safe bet that most of them are more concerned about their own employment prospects, the economy, holidays and travel.  Screaming about solidarity with besieged Palestinians is not exactly 'standing up for Coventry South' and the voters are likely to respond appropriately at the next election.

Also addressing pro-Palestine/anti-Israel protests over the weekend were Sultana's colleagues Diane Abbott, Apsana BegumRichard Burgon, Bell Ribeiro-AddyNadia Whittome and Beth Winter.  Jeremy Corbyn has been greeted by adoring crowds at several demos in the past week, as far north as Oxford no less.  While he talks about 'peace', the response from the crowd is anything but peaceful.  The flag burning and violence rarely begins before the speeches, but it flows directly from the emotive words of these far left speakers.  Likewise, protesters didn't march to the Israeli embassy as a first port of call - that decision was made after the speeches had finished.  It's no coincidence.

The silence from these speakers after whipping up an angry mob says it all.

FAR LEFT ON THE MARCH

The media have done a sterling job of manipulating events yet again.  The suspected murder of Sarah Everard has been whipped up beyond all proportion and storm clouds are gathering as a direct result.  Despite all its work in brow-beating the population into lockdown after lockdown, the media is now effectively declaring that lockdown is over.

The absurdly drawn-out process of exiting lockdown was always going to invite social unrest heading into the warmer months of spring.  Anti-lockdown protests are planned for this coming weekend and if this last weekend of protest is anything to go by, they will not go away regardless of how they are policed.

Just a small number of arrests at Saturday night's 'vigil' only served to inflame tensions and has led to two days of protests, with more planned.  Images of some of those arrests were beamed around the world, with lurid stories of how male police officers had gone in heavy-handed against poor defenceless women.  The media is intent on whipping up hate and division, just as it had done throughout last summer as BLM went on the rampage.

Incidentally, what may have began as a genuine virtue signalling and fairly innocuous feminist action on Saturday evening, has now turned into something else altogether.  While there were some dubious placards present on Saturday night, they were isolated.  By Monday evening a scattering of 'defund the police' placards had turned into official BLM placards and chants of 'no justice, no peace'.  There were also Extinction Rebellion symbols on display too.

We've trawled through pictures of the protests and uncovered plenty of evidence to show that protesters are not there entirely with women's safety in mind...

Despite voting for every lockdown over the course of the last year, a number of hard left Labour MPs also joined the protests on Monday.  Apsana Begum (Poplar & Limehouse), Bell Ribeiro-Addy (Streatham), Zarah Sultana (Coventry South) and Nadia Whittome (Nottingham East) each addressed the crowd.  All four are members of Labour's Socialist Campaign Group.

In Whittome's speech she rattled off a list of women's names, beginning with Sarah Everard.  However, the second name was Breonna Taylor, a black woman who was killed by Kentucky police a year ago - further evidence that the hard left are merely hijacking a feminist movement for their own motives.

MOST SHARED: WEEK 279

Labour MPs have been falling over each other to express support for the migrants sailing from France.  As we saw during the 2015 migrant invasion of Europe, they can't wait to declare the slogan 'refugees welcome', despite the fact these migrants are anything but refugees.  They have travelled through countless safe countries with the aim of reaping the rewards of soft touch Britain.  They are economic migrants and many of them are not even fleeing war zones.

Taking some of the recent pro-migrant tweets from Labour MPs, Karl put together the following meme - shared 808 times via the Facebook page.

MOST SHARED: WEEK 268

A week is a long time in politics and the spread of Black Lives Matter mayhem to the UK has left the lockdown in tatters.  We could probably now add more than another dozen MPs to this meme, originally posted on Sunday 31 May.  Barry Gardiner, Dawn Butler, Bell Ribeiro-AddyTaiwo Owatemi and Nadia Whittome are among the Labour MPs who have directly participated in the protests in recent days.  Their enthusiasm to abandon the lockdown to jump on a bandwagon of hate leaves their campaign against Dominic Cummings all but dead.  They no longer have any moral high ground with regards to the lockdown.  However, with the Brexit extension deadline looming at the end of the month there may well be further lines of attack in the coming weeks.
