LABOUR'S SHOCK URDU VIDEO

The death of Labour's Tony Lloyd last month sparked a by-election that was rapidly scheduled for the 29th of February.  Labour hit the ground running, selecting Rochdale councillor Azhar Ali as their candidate before Mr Lloyd was even cold.  Nomination papers are already in for all candidates, weeks ahead of Lloyd's funeral.

Last week Cllr Ali appeared in a video posted to Twitter, alongside Manchester Gorton MP Afzal Khan.  Ali addresses the camera in English, which is followed by a translation from Khan into Urdu.  This shock video formed the basis of our latest YouTube effort (click below).

Labour's reliance on the block Muslim vote is well documented, but for a candidate to produce a video in the national language of Pakistan for a by-election in England shows a damning lack of integration for a community already viewed with suspicion following repeated rape gang convictions.

Labour are odds-on favourites to win the Rochdale by-election, a seat they have held since 2010.  Prior to that the seat changed hands several times between Labour and the Lib Dems throughout the 90s and 00s.  Labour's majority in 2019 was 9,668 over the second placed Conservatives.

Second place this time around is anyone's guess, with George Galloway out for revenge and likely to whip up his own Muslim support by putting the politics of the Middle East front and centre of his campaign.  Galloway is not the only former Labour MP standing with vengeance in mind.  Eyebrows were raised when Reform UK selected Simon Danczuk as their candidate.  Danczuk was Labour MP for Rochdale between 2010 and 2017, although he had the party whip withdrawn in 2015 after it emerged that he had exchanged explicit messages with a 17-year-old.

The full roster of eleven candidates is as follows.

Azhar Ali (Lab)
Mark Coleman (Ind)
Simon Danczuk (RefUK)
Iain Donaldson (LDem)
Paul Ellison (Con)
George Galloway (Workers)
Michael Howarth (Ind)
William Howarth (Ind)
Guy Otten (Grn)
Ravin Subortna (Loon)
David Tully (Ind)

NETFLIX SPECIALS UPSET THE LEFT

Some light relief with our first YouTube video of 2024, courtesy of stand-up routines from Dave Chappelle and Ricky Gervais which have upset the woke mob.  Comedy will die if the left have it their way, but thankfully it's not easy to cancel ultra wealthy established comics who are featured on what is already one of the most woke platforms there is - Netflix.

The jokes that have upset the left are both featured in our video, hosted as usual by Richey.  Watch below or on YouTube (eight minute watch).

STARMER BEMOANS 'ISLAMOPHOBIA'

In our latest YouTube video, Richey delves into Keir Starmer's exploitation of 'Islamophobia Awareness Month'.  Yes, seriously.  In a climate of surging anti-Semitism and rampant Islamist protests, the Labour leader has released a video bemoaning 'Islamophobia' in which he tries to paint British Muslims as a collective victim.

NANNY STATE ALERT

On Sunday we produced an impromptu YouTube video in response to the UK government's dreadful 'emergency alert' announcement.  On the evening of April 23 they have scheduled a 'test alert' that will be sent to all mobile phones in the UK, no doubt scaring the bejeesus out of many of our elderly citizens who will be wondering why on earth their device is suddenly screaming at them.  This sinister move is just another step towards what Klaus Schwab describes as the 'fourth industrial revolution' - otherwise known as the Great Reset or Agenda 2030.  It has nothing to do with safeguarding citizens.  If anything, citizens need to be safeguarded against the state - the nanny state.

As alluded to in the previous video, Richey may have got a taste for presenting.  See for yourself whether or not he's getting the hang of it...

There is a potential alternative to 'dismantling your phone' as Richey puts it.  On both Apple and Android phones there is an option in settings to block emergency alerts.  Whether or not this will be effective against the deep state's alerts remains to be seen.  For Apple users you can find instructions here.  Android users will need to enter their settings and search for either 'Public safety messages' or 'Wireless emergency alerts'.

NOVARA'S CENSORSHIP HYPOCRISY

Marxist media outlet Novara Media had its YouTube channel temporarily deleted on Tuesday.  A statement put out by Novara at 11:40 said the action had been carried out by YouTube without 'warning or explanation'.  Less than three hours later Novara reported that the channel had been reinstated 'following a deluge of support from across the political spectrum'.

Novara's Michael Walker

Novara has an impressive following on YouTube with almost 170,000 subscribers.  It has a similar number of followers on its Twitter account, with smaller followings on Facebook and Instagram.  Novara's impressive social media counter-campaign against YouTube's ban attracted support from far and wide - not just from far left Labour MPs such as Richard BurgonJohn McDonnell and Nadia Whittome, but also from opponents such as Conservative MP David Davis, Reclaim's Laurence Fox and broadcasters Julia Hartley-Brewer and Maajid Nawaz.  The latter had previously sought legal action against Novara's co-founder, but still found it within himself to condemn YouTube's action.  Even The Spectator's Turnpike column expressed 'solidarity'.

However, while the centre and right appeared to unite with the left against big tech censorship, it had been duly noted that Novara itself did not express feelings of solidarity when big tech came for their opponents.  The bulk of the criticism was levelled at Novara's head of video, Gary McQuiggin, who deplored YouTube's action in the following tweet.

Critics then deluged McQuiggin and his comrades Ash Sarkar, Michael Walker and Bastani with a screenshot of something he had tweeted last year...

McQuiggin has since deleted this tweet, but fortunately the internet doesn't forget.

Novara's double standards can also be applied to Ash Sarkar who has previously defended cancel culture and was also one of the main organisers of the protests against President Trump's visit to the UK in 2018.  She also welcomed his ban from Twitter, telling Unherd: "It’s a good thing that Twitter is able to just kick him off".

It appears that censorship is perfectly acceptable for the left when it's the right that is on the receiving end or things they simply don't like or agree with.

Click below for a clip in which Sarkar is asked about cancel culture for an Australian TV show.

Author Douglas Murray was among those who took exception to Novara's double standard, writing on Twitter: "These communists didn’t seem to have a problem when Big Tech came for Milo Yiannopolous, Katie Hopkins etc.  Because the hate-mongers at barely-known ‘Novara media’ thought Big Tech only came for their counterparts.  Now it’s their turn.  Funny old world".

Aaron Bastani responded directly to Murray with the following astonishing tweet.

That is quite a statement coming from a communist and one which appears to be ignore established history altogether.  Even his quote from Rosa Luxemburg is a misnomer.  The Polish Marxist made a number of quotes relating to freedom and democracy, but that apparently did not stop her from supporting the 1918 November Revolution which sought to overthrow the German government.

Like Bastani, Luxemburg never got a taste of state power.  We all know what happens when communists take power, regardless of how they get there or what they said prior to the event.  Freedom becomes mute, democracy dies.

That is the reality of communism.  The history of one-party communist states such as the Soviet Union, China, Cuba, Vietnam and North Korea does not lie.  The same cannot be said for Bastani.

YOUTUBE CENSORS DAVIS SPEECH

The Conservative's David Davis fell foul of big tech censors last week after YouTube deleted a video in which he deplored the introduction of domestic vaccine passports.  The eleven minute speech was uploaded by libertarian group Big Brother Watch, but subsequently deleted.  In a notification to the group YouTube said: "YouTube doesn’t allow claims about Covid-19 vaccinations that contradict expert consensus from local health authorities or the World Health Organisation (WHO)".

The problem with that statement is that nowhere in the speech does Davis make any claims about vaccines that would counter the establishment narrative, in fact he dramatically overstates their efficacy and says he is an advocate.  However, as a libertarian he quite rightly finds the concept of domestic vaccine passports a very sinister attempt to coerce people into taking jabs they might not want.  Davis's speech was given at a fringe event of the recent Conservative party conference, which he noted did not require vaccine passports for entry (unlike the Labour party conference).  He also noted that Tory ministers had confided in him that they did not believe in vaccine passports either, which rather begs the question who is the driving force behind their implementation?

Reacting to YouTube's censorship of his speech, Davis said: "Throughout the pandemic, we have seen blatant attempts by big tech to silence opposition voices challenging the conventional wisdom.  My speech at conference was carefully researched, wholly accurate and backed up with the latest scientific fact.  This unambiguous attempt by YouTube to censor my speech is a warning.  If YouTube is happy to attempt to silence elected Members of Parliament, then they are also happy to censor anyone uploading content to their speech".

Quite right, and it was the MP's public response and resulting publicity that resulted in YouTube reinstating the video on Friday, saying: "Sometimes we make the wrong call".  Others who speak out against Covid tyranny, but who are not public figures will probably not be so fortunate.

His speech, as it appears on YouTube, can be seen below.

LABOUR DITCH WOMEN

For a party looking to win power it would surely be suicide to throw half the population under the bus in order to assuage a tiny virtually insignificant minority.  And yet that's just what Labour has done in response to the trans furore over Rosie Duffield's stance on the biological status of the human female.  Is this what passes for 'progressive' these days Sir Keir?

Karl has edited together a compilation of recent comments by senior Labour politicians on this issue for our YouTube channel.  Watch below.

SILICON VALLEY DECLARES WAR

On the day that Twitter finally went ahead and pulled the plug on the democratically elected leader of the 'Free World', its fellow tech giant Google enacted an equally sinister move.  It was no coincidence that the Parler app - which models itself as a free speech alternative to Twitter - was removed from the Google Play Store hours after Twitter acted.  Additionally, Apple gave Parler 24 hours notice that it intended to remove it from its App Store too - if the platform didn't 'comply with [Apple's] content-moderation requirements'.

Twitter didn't just come for Trump, it deleted a whole host of pro-Trump accounts including that of his campaign team and his former national security advisor Michael Flynn.  When the President tweeted from official US government accounts in response to the ban Twitter deleted the tweets.

Twitter's totalitarian actions came the day after Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that Trump would be suspended from Facebook for at least the rest of his presidency.  His page is still visible, but the President is barred from posting.

Clearly, the gloves are now off and war has been declared on conservative thought and opinion.  No-one elected these billionaire tech CEOs, but they now wield a frightening level of power over Western democracy, liberty and free speech.  While Parler's chief executive has issued a defiant statement to the the tech giants waging war on his platform, access to the app for new users will have been severely hampered by Google's actions.  John Matze wrote on Parler: "We won't cave to politically motivated companies and those authoritarians who hate free speech!"

If you're not already on Parler, you can still download it on from their website and we at BTLP would urge all our followers to do so as a matter of urgency.  We expect Facebook to pull the plug on both our accounts this year, while we still remain barred from accessing our Twitter account months after issuing a second appeal to our ban.  YouTube is no better.  Last week it deleted TalkRadio's channel, which has almost a quarter of a million subscribers.  Although it later reinstated the channel, the reason for its removal was sinister indeed - TalkRadio had broadcast alternative views on coronavirus and voiced opposition to lockdown.

As if all this wasn't frightening enough - bearing in mind it comes at a time that many Western governments have imposed devastating curbs on people's liberties - the assault on conservative speech goes even further than social media.  Tucker Carlson of Fox News reports that left-wing broadcaster CNN is trying to get Fox taken off air (see video below).

Incidentally, Tucker Carlson is one of a number of conservative commentators who mysteriously lost tens of thousands of followers during the Twitter purge.  As you can clearly see on the Social Blade Twitter stats website, Tucker inexplicably lost over 70,000 followers on the same day as Twitter banned Donald Trump.  This is not a coincidence, this is suppression.

The tech giants and mainstream media want to silence conservative voices and create a world in which everyone follows their woke rules.  We have to resist this.  Begin by downloading Parler now.

... AND THEN THEY CAME FOR US?

Facebook is now banning right wingers merely for declaring support for other right wingers who have been banned.

Silicon Valley has declared war on the right recently, with ever more censorship while at the same time ignoring Marxists, anti-Semites, Islamists and even terrorists.  While the likes of Milo, Alex Jones and Paul Joseph Watson have been taken down by the social media giants, the likes of Hamas still have accounts.  You read that correctly - Hamas has a Twitter account!

The powers that be at Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and co simply don't care how their blatantly biased actions are perceived any more.  The gloves are off.

We are genuinely concerned about our own Facebook page at the moment.  More than four years have been spent building up our following and it would be a huge loss to have it snatched away, but it would not be the end.  We don't quit easily.  In the event we suddenly disappear from social media, your first port of call should always be binlabour.com, but be sure to like and follow the back-up page on Facebook as we may be able to fall back to it.  BTLP2 has been utilised several times in the past and is essential if you wish to stay in the loop while we occasionally serve time in Facebook prison.

The Spectator recently published a useful article on locating censored political activists online, but some of the platforms they are now using are not exactly household names.  Perhaps we should also be obtaining accounts on these obscure platforms in preparation for the worst?  It's easier said than done when we are already stretched to the limit trying to run this site, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.  There just aren't enough hours in the day!

CHUKA'S REFERENDUM HYPOCRISY

Chuka appeared on This Week last night and was given a rough ride by Andrew Neil.  Brillohead repeatedly exposed the hypocrisy of the Independent Group and Chuka's own reluctance to hold a by-election in Streatham.
