KNEELING HARRI 'SUSPENDED'

The GB News presenter who took the knee live on air earlier this week has reportedly been suspended by the broadcaster.  On Tuesday ex-BBC reporter Guto Harri declared: "Everyone should take the knee".  He then got down on one knee in front of his shocked co-presenter Mercy Muroki.  Harri was standing in for Colin Brazier.

Last night GB News tweeted that Harri had committed 'an unacceptable breach of our standards' and he was nowhere to be seen on Friday's shows.  The Daily Mail reports that the channel's director of programming has since quit in response to Harri's suspension.  John McAndrew is himself a veteran of the BBC, but has also worked for Sky and ITV.  His wife Daisy McAndrew also contributes to GB News, although it is not clear if she too will leave the station.

Meanwhile, on Friday evening GB News chairman Andrew Neil tweeted the following...

Let's hope he's right.

CRITICAL RACE THEORY EXPOSED

GB News is going great guns despite ongoing technical glitches and the hysterical 'Stop Funding Hate' campaign to starve it of advertising revenue.  Andrew Neil's evening show is doing particularly well in the ratings, drawing more viewers than both BBC News and Sky News.  The 'Woke Watch' section of his show is a delight, featuring the exceptionally talented and intelligent Andrew Doyle.  Doyle is himself of the left, but is a critic of the modern left's obsession with all things woke, in particular the divisive poison of identity politics.  On Wednesday he discussed attempts to import Marxist critical race theory into British schools.  Watch below.

Doyle hosts his own show on GB News on Saturday afternoons - Free Speech Nation - airing between 16:00 and 18:00.

TIME FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT

Dan Wootton is joining Andrew Neil's channel

News that Dan Wootton will be joining the hotly anticipated GB News channel is another marker to suggest Andrew Neil's project will be something a little bit different.  Wootton is a vocal lockdown sceptic who has used his TalkRadio slot to promote views that are rarely heard on mainstream broadcasters.  He is leaving both TalkRadio and The Sun to host a daily show on GB News, although we still have no launch date for the channel.

Andrew Neil has also boasted of more than a thousand job applications in the last week, including an 'impressive calibre of talent from established broadcasters'.  He is clearly enjoying trolling the mainstream media, who will naturally be bricking it at the thought of a right-leaning news competitor.  The fact that The Guardian smears GB News on a regular basis is also a good sign of things to come.  It hasn't even got a launch date or an official logo and the left is in meltdown.

Finally, the left-wing pro-EU pro-globalist protection racket that is the British broadcast media is about to end.  Amen.

ANDREW NEIL BRUTALISES SNP

The BBC made a huge tactical error in removing Andrew Neil from its schedule.  Without a regular TV slot and now free of the BBC, he has embarked on an outspoken journey and in the new year he launches his own news channel.  GB News will be available on Freeview and looks set to challenge the mainstream media monopoly and their globalist fear-mongering narrative.

Neil's final assignment for the BBC was covering the US presidential election, which he discussed on Politics Live last week.  He said he was enjoying his new-found freedom 'to say what he thinks' and he didn't hold back when launching an attack on the Scottish National Party.  Host Jo Coburn had asked Neil about the implications of the US election for Britain, but instead he embarked on an assault on the SNP and appeared to accuse London-based media of giving them 'a free ride'.  Also on a video link was the SNP MP for Stirling, Alyn Smith, who responded to Neil's assault with a patronising remark about Neil needing 'a lie-down'.  The ferocious debate ended in a virtual staring match with Smith raising his eyebrow and glaring into the camera.

Watch below (and then enjoy Neil's devastating take-down of Nicola Sturgeon from last year's pre-election interview).

'BOLLOX' SAYS BRILLO

Andrew Neil takes no prisoners and homes in on his prey with a killer mix of thorough research and brutal reasoning.  On Monday he dispensed with his articulate ways and simply chose to denounce the mainstream media as printing 'bollox'.  His Twitter outburst came in response to the overwhelmingly pro-Remain media that had declared Britain would be at the 'back of the queue' following Joe Biden's presumptive victory in the US presidential election.  Ironically 'back of the queue' was a phrase dictated to Democrat president Barack Obama by then British PM David Cameron.  Perhaps they should have paid more attention to this before assuming that another anti-Brexit Democrat would merely dispense with the special relationship.  As it turns out Boris Johnson was among the first world leaders to receive a telephone call from Sleepy Joe.

A few minutes later Neil expanded on his initial blunt response to Times journalist Tom Newton-Dunn and quite rightly pointed out that the media agenda was entirely anti-British.

As we have witnessed over the past four years, the mainstream media on Biden's side of the pond is equally repulsed by its own nationhood.  Long live the Donald.

HIGH PRAISE FOR BRILLO

End of the road for yet another Andrew Neil vehicle

When the BBC announced 520 job cuts in its news division it was perhaps no great surprise to see Andrew Neil's show was one of the casualties.  His latest show was only commissioned last autumn and had not broadcast since March.  In recent years Neil's presence on the Beeb has become increasingly sparse.  Daily Politics was canned in 2018, This Week finished a year later and he is seldom seen at the helm of Politics Live these days.

As is always the case when there is any suggestion Andrew Neil is binned, there has been a backlash.  The BBC have stressed that they are in talks with him about a new venture, but there are rumours that the 71-year-old has been approached by other broadcasters.  Presumably ITV are one of those clamouring for his services.  We can only hope they are lining him up to replace the awful Robert Peston!

Prominent figures in journalism and across the political divide heaped praise on Neil following news of the BBC cancellation.

Some on the hard left were less complimentary, because their little spiteful minds can only recall instances when Neil has mauled their idols.  But let's not forget that following his decimation of Jeremy Corbyn ahead of the election, Boris Johnson avoided Neil like the plague and never did sit down for an interview.  He wouldn't have refused to meet Neil if he thought his interviewer was going to give him an easy ride.

Remain campaigner Femi Izawally invoked Neil's ire with a tweet in which he labelled the broadcaster "biased and scarily right-wing".  Bad move.

As for Little Owen, who has been involved in a long-running spat with Andrew Neil, some would have expected a gloating response.  However, Jones has his own problems worrying about job cuts at The Guardian.  Jones tweeted: "Andrew Neil falsely claimed that I repeatedly tried to get his BBC career cancelled.  He's still refused to withdraw this claim.  So let me put on record that I don't support this decision, while standing by holding Neil to account for his public record".

The ever classy Neil later tweeted that The Spectator was a broad church and didn't see why Jones couldn't work for the rag if he got the boot from The Guardian.

This seems as good a time as any to revisit their famous bust-up on This Week...

On Saturday morning Neil tweeted that The Spectator was booming while other media outlets are in decline.  He notes that his newspaper now outsells weekday editions of The Guardian.  Brutal as ever.

OWEN'S CANCEL HYPOCRISY

Little Owen has got his knickers in a twist over cancel culture this week.  He appeared to be triggered by a series of articles in The Times condemning the totalitarian practice.  In a Twitter thread of five tweets he rants and raves with no discernible central argument.  In dozens more tweets over the following days (and an appearance on Sky News) it becomes clear that his beef is with the framing of cancel culture being a left-wing phenomenon.  In other words he is on the defensive.

No-one is claiming that cancel culture is exclusively a leftist beast, but the vile hate campaigns of woke Twitter overwhelmingly come from the left.  Earlier this week the British actress Jodie Comer was targeted over a rumour that she was dating an American Trump supporter.  One of the hashtags that trended was #jodiecomerisoverparty - in other words we have cancelled Jodie and we are having a party.  As Owen alludes to in his above tweet, it's unlikely that the actress will be dropped from the next series of Killing Eve, but what will probably happen is that she will never return to Twitter again.  This is the same online bullying that potentially contributed to the suicide of the TV presenter Caroline Flack.  There's no doubt that some of the same woke morons who brutally troll the likes of Jodie Comer used the hashtag #BeKind after Flack tragically ended her life.

It's also worth noting that while there were isolated calls for the Karl Marx memorial to be removed from Highgate Cemetery, the overwhelming majority of calls for statues to be removed are coming from the hard left.  Who fell Colston?  Who attacked Churchill and the Cenotaph?  Which councils are removing statues, changing place names and erasing our history?  This is cancel culture too, in fact it's an attempt to literally cancel an entire culture.

So Little Owen is, of course, way off the mark.  All he is concerned with is defending the left and demonising the right.  In recent days he has persistently used the physical assault on him that took place last year as an example of far right cancel culture.  However, if someone on the right took an example like for instance the wave of milkshake attacks on Brexiteers last year, you can be certain that Owen would accuse them of 'gaslighting'.  That's exactly what happened to Priti Patel recently when she discussed her own experiences of racism.  The left declared she was 'gaslighting' real concerns of racism.  Only the left can be victims in their own eyes and if violence befalls anyone else then they deserved it because they are 'racists', 'fascists', 'trans-phobes' - in other words less than human.

This is a clip from Owen's appearance on Sky News on Saturday in which conservative commentator Toby Young calls out his rampant hypocrisy.  As Young berates him he shakes his head vigorously like a petulant child.

Another of those responding to Little Owen's latest crusade was Andrew Neil.  The pair have been involved in a spat going back years.  On Friday Neil declared that Owen had "tried - and failed - to cancel my BBC career several times".  This put Owen into a frenzy and the wee lad dedicated half a dozen tweets to attacking Neil calling him a liar amid various accusations.  Neil didn't bother responding - unlike Owen he's a grown up.

Ironically, the tweet that had driven the touchy so and so up the wall contained the following screenshot of a tweet Owen posted only last month...

So this is not cancel culture Owen?  Trying to get someone sacked from their job because they said your pal Ash Sarkar 'reaped what she sowed'?  Owen is also famous for cancelling anyone who criticises him on Twitter.  If you're not blocked by hypocrite Owen you must be a lefty!

BURGON MOCKED OVER COVID TWEET

The Beeb's Andrew Neil was among those mocking Labour's Richard Burgon over a coronavirus tweet this morning.  Bungling Burgon has dedicated a lot of time to attacking the government throughout the lockdown, but he opened himself up to ridicule by quoting some highly selective figures on the worldwide death toll...

It wasn't just Spain, Italy and France that Burgon deliberately omitted from his anti-UK list.  The source he quoted in his Twitter thread shows that Belgium has also suffered a higher death toll per population density.  Also curiously lacking from his list is the United States.  Although the US has suffered the most number of deaths by far, it is still behind the UK in terms of deaths per population density.  Of course Burgon wouldn't want to give President Trump any credit, someone he despises even more than Boris Johnson.

This is the full top ten that Dickie didn't want to broadcast...

Belgium - 471 deaths per million people
Italy - 384
Spain - 429
France - 296
UK - 228
Netherlands - 210
Sweden - 150
Switzerland - 128
US - 118
Ireland - 116

KEIR & HIS PARTY WON'T LISTEN ON MIGRATION

Keir Starmer got the Andrew Neil treatment last night and struggled to justify his commitment to open door migration.  When we, as a nation, voted Leave in 2016 we voted to end freedom of movement, but it seems that all three leadership candidates are keen to ignore that mandate.  We know that the Brexit heartlands largely correspond with Labour's traditional heartlands ie. the north of England, Midlands and South Wales.  So surely if Labour want to win back power they should adopt a migration strategy that aligns with voters in these key regions?

Well, you'd think so wouldn't you, but Labour know best...

Labour are a typical socialist party.  They believe in more government, more legislation, more control.  And most importantly - they know what's good for you.

NUGEE VS NEIL

Emily Thornberry faced Andrew Neil last night in an entertaining interview.  Neil tackled Lady Nugee's sneering attitude over Brexit and schooling, asking how it is possible she could take back voters from Labour's old heartlands.  If her current leadership nominations are anything to go by, she doesn't stand much chance outside the south-east.  While fellow southerner Sir Keir has amassed nominations from around the country - from Glasgow to Torbay - she has a nomination each from Berkshire, Sussex and Surrey.

In this first clip Smug Nugee paints herself as a 'prophet' who saw the election defeat coming and warned her colleagues about it.  Easy to say after the event...

Neil asked Nugee about the allegation that she'd described Leave voters as "stupid".  While there's no doubt that Thornberry is typical of a sneering elitist Remainer, she is self aware enough to know that such an overtly offensive statement is damaging to her, particularly in light of her leadership campaign.  Her legal action against Caroline Flint continues, but Neil was not going to let Nugee off lightly here...

The Brexit debate was later followed by another bitter exchange over Nugee's decision to send her son to a posh school.  "That's what Diane Abbott said as well" Neil retorted as Thornberry tried to defend her hypocrisy.

Neil tried to finish off the interview with a quickfire yes/no session.  Predictably, he didn't get many yes/no answers...

NANDY BACKS FREE MOVEMENT

Lisa Nandy was grilled by Andrew Neil yesterday and floundered somewhat on her approach to Brexit.  While she is the least pro-Remain of the five candidates, she is still a Remainer and confirmed during the interview that she wanted freedom of movement to continue post-Brexit.  This led to a confusing exchange in which she eloquently put across very good reasons why her Wigan constituents opposed freedom of movement, but she was going to ignore them anyway!  It was an attitude like this that saw her majority more than halved in last month's election from more than 16,000 to less than 7,000.  It's an attitude that shows regardless of whether Labour elect a northerner or a southerner - they are going to struggle to retake ground lost in their old heartlands.

Wigan 2019 general election

Lisa Nandy (Lab) 21,042 (46.7%) -15.5%
Ashley Williams (Con) 14,314 (31.8%) +3.3%
William Molloy (Brexit) 5,959 (13.2%) New
Stuart Thomas (Lib Dem) 2,428 (5.4%) +3.5%
Peter Jacobs (Green) 1,299 (2.9%) +1.3%

WHISPERING BARRY MOCKED

The subject of Barry Gardiner's dubious leadership bid was discussed on Politics Live on Thursday.  Andrew Neil introduced the topic by mocking Barry's t-shirt, as featured in the Huffington Post coverage.  "I think pretty much all of us were born in the NHS" he noted, leading to much giggling across the panel.  Even backbench Labour idiot Lloyd Russell-Wotsit joined in the laughter.

At the time of writing there are only 64 MPs/MEPs left to nominate a candidate and still no solid commitment to his supposed leadership bid, so what on earth Barry Gardiner is playing at is anyone's guess.  What we do know is that there will definitely be four candidates proceeding to the next stage after Long-Bailey, Nandy and Phillips all reached the 22 nomination threshold on Thursday.  Thornberry requires another 12 to continue, while Clive Lewis appears dead in the water with just four nominations thus far.

ANDREW NEIL DESTROYS CORBYN

It's been dubbed one of the worst car crash interviews of all time.  Really?  As bad as Diane, Lady Nugee or Dickie Burgon?  Watch below for the full Andrew Neil dissection of Jeremy Corbyn's disastrous leadership and decide for yourselves...

LABOUR'S MEDICINE FIGURES "NONSENSE"

Andrew Neil deftly exposed Labour's scaremongering about a post-Brexit US trade deal on Wednesday night.  Hapless frontbencher Andy McDonald was all over the place as Neil ripped into Labour's fantasy figures about medicine imports from the US.  Watch below.

Corbyn must be wondering if any of his frontbenchers are capable of giving anything other than a car crash interview at the moment, but then again it's not easy defending the indefensible.  Since the election was announced we've had disastrous appearances from Long-Bailey, Burgon, Starmer and now McDonald.  Possibly the only capable pair of hands on Corbyn's front bench has just announced he is quitting as deputy leader, so who is left?  One thing's for sure, we await the turns of Abbott and Thornberry with glee!

BLAIR VS NEIL

Tony Blair popped up again yesterday, as he has done every 2-3 months for the duration of the Brexit impasse.  The pattern remains the same.  He beckons the media, soundbites at the ready, does an intensive round of interviews based on a pre-arranged agenda that revolves around overturning the Leave mandate, then goes to ground for a few months waiting for another quiet news period where he can be assured of top billing again.

He met his match yesterday in Andrew Neil.  Watch below.

PRIME-TIME NEIL

Tonight marks the welcome return of Andrew Neil to BBC screens following the demise of This Week.  This new prime-time slot is provisionally scheduled to run until Halloween and, hopefully, Brexit.

BURGON'S BAREFACED LIES EXPOSED

Labour's Richard Burgon is another front bench liability, but one that often slips under the radar, overshadowed by fellow front bench morons Thornberry and Abbott.  A loyal Corbynista he shares his leader's love of all things Irish, wants to overthrow the Queen and opposes the bombing of Daesh in Syria.  Oh, and he's a shit liar...

UPDATE

Burgon has now admitted making the speech about Zionism and says he "regrets it".  He's only admitted it now because footage of the speech has been uncovered!
