LISA'S ENOCH MYTH

Lisa Nandy told a BBC Question Time audience on Thursday that she 'grew up in this city [Manchester] in the 1980s in the shadow of Enoch Powell'.  She then embarked on a two minute defence of multiculturalism and mass immigration, while delivering a broadside at Tory cuts.  The full clip can be seen below.

The problem with Nandy's monologue is that it begins with a lie.  Enoch Powell may have cast a long 'shadow', but his famous speech actually took place in 1968 - eleven years before she was born.  His political career was all but over in the 1970s and he spent most of the 1980s as an Ulster Unionist, in virtual exile across the sea in Northern Ireland.  A long shadow indeed.  Powell departed the House of Commons for the last time in 1987, when Lisa was just seven years of age.

This is what is called clutching at straws.

BRYANT BACKFIRES AGAIN

Prolific tweeter Chris Bryant has been humiliated online yet again after the Labour MP sparked an argument built on sand.  The Rhondda MP was clearly upset about the presence of economist Kate Andrews on the BBC's Question Time and tagged the programme in a tweet complaining about her 'role' in the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA).  Unfortunately for Chris, Andrews picked up the tweet the following morning and pointed out that she did not work for the IEA...

Kate has not worked for the IEA for three years and Bryant was quickly on his arse clutching at straws.  The best he could do was a screenshot dated 2016 that referred to Andrews to back up his non-existent argument.  She fired back minutes later and a more formal apology ensued.

It's desperately embarrassing, but nothing new for a man who takes selfies in his underpants and posts them on gay dating sites.

Oh, and why was he so upset about Kate Andrews being on Question Time in the first place?  Because she repeatedly exposes the real reason behind the cost of living crisis.  And Chris Bryant - along with everyone else in the Parliamentary Labour Party - voted for it.

"WE KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE"

With the current media-driven hysteria surrounding coronavirus it was inevitable that the virus would feature prominently in this week's edition of Question Time.  With Glasgow hosting the show, it was Scottish politicians trying to outdo each other on who would manage the 'crisis' best.  The SNP's Kate Forbes defended her government's approach, while Tory MP Andrew Bowie defended his government's approach.  This left the hapless Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar to formulate something different.

He didn't disappoint in that regard.  Having begun to waffle he was interrupted by host Fiona Bruce and then came up with something that is on a par with the tyranny currently being meted out to citizens of other Western nations - if not, then surpassing it.

Sarwar suggested that unvaccinated Brits should be confronted on their own doorsteps.  He called it 'door to door vaccination', but did not say whether such a course of action would involve force.

The most worrying thing about Sarwar's bombshell is that no-one bats an eyelid and Fiona Bruce does not even pick him up on it, therefore normalising his remark.  Are there no depths to which our new dystopian societies won't stoop?  Perhaps that is not a question we should be asking.

WINSTON'S TRANS TRUTH BOMB

Professor Robert Winston faces a deluge of hate today following his appearance on the BBC's Question Time last night.  Lord Winston, a Labour peer, sat on a panel that included Labour colleague Alison McGovern.  One audience member put to the panel a question regarding free speech and the case of philosophy professor Kathleen Stock, who is currently facing a hate campaign from trans activists at Sussex University.  For the 'crime' of speaking out in defence of women's gender rights, students are campaigning to have her sacked from her role at the university.

Following on from her leader's pathetic pandering to the trans lobby, frontbencher McGovern defended the rights of trans people to identify as they see fit.  It seems that feminism in the Labour Party is dead and buried.  However, when the question was posed to Professor Winston he warned host Fiona Bruce that he was about to say something that the producers may want to cut from the programme.  His highly 'controversial' response was to state a matter of fact: "You cannot change your sex".

HARTLEY-BREWER RILES UP TWITTER

Julia Hartley-Brewer sparked a Twitter meltdown last night as she appeared on BBC's Question Time.  She drove the metropolitan elite to distraction with her views on Brexit, lockdowns and Black Lives Matter.  Even before the programme was broadcast her appearance was condemned.  Question Time tweeted an introduction for each of their guests and Hartley-Brewer's attracted 160 comments, while Labour's Wes Streeting received 11 comments, Malcolm Turnbull 12 and politics professor Anand Menon just three.  Tory minister Robert Buckland was a late edition to the line-up.

As a vociferous Brexiteer, Hartley-Brewer was guaranteed a frosty reception by the #FBPE Twitter mob, but she compounded their metropolitan anger by providing some home truths about lockdown restrictions and BLM too.  She clashed with Buckland, having quite rightly pointed out that Covid infections in England were already levelling off prior to the November lockdown.  She pointed to recent ONS data to back up her argument, at which point Fiona Bruce interrupted and unsuccessfully tried to silence her.

The final topic for debate was inevitable.  This was the first edition of Question Time since football fans were allowed back into (some) football matches and the taking of the knee had not been well received.  So began the latest media exercise in pleb-bashing, singling out once again the fans of Millwall, while briefly mentioning Colchester United and absolutely no reference to West Ham United - who, as a Premier League club, appear to be subject to a conspiracy of silence that seeks to portray anti-BLM sentiment as an isolated phenomenon limited to the lower leagues.

As with her lockdown views, Hartley-Brewer was out on her own again.  She defended fans' right to boo a political gesture that had no place in football and again she was challenged by Bruce.  Labour's Wes Streeting responded by joining his BBC comrades in labelling the Millwall fans 'racist'.  Meanwhile, Buckland hung his cabinet colleague George Eustice out to dry as he too condemned the Millwall fans.  Eustice was heavily criticised in the mainstream media when he had the audacity to point out that BLM was a political movement and not one that should be applauded.  Such sentiment is clearly 'dissident speech' in the eyes of the media.

While Hartley-Brewer enjoyed a fair amount of backing on Twitter, she was generally denounced with the usual diatribes of 'far right' and 'racist' while one snowflake remarked that when he hears her name he has to 'start breathing through a bag'.  What a woke cesspit.

The increasingly tedious Question Time continued last night, once again dominated by coronavirus.  At this point a question about Brexit (or anything else) would be quite welcome.  Literally the only point of interest last night was the background for Lisa Nandy's appearance.  Housebound media appearances have been a staple of this pandemic and have led to several talking points.  There were the gatecrashing children of Nandy's colleagues Anneliese Dodds and Jonathan Ashworth.  There were also the mysterious picture hooks behind Yvette Cooper.  It's also quite interesting to note that Keir Starmer seems reluctant to broadcast from inside his home.  Earlier this week he appeared on Robert Peston's show speaking from a dark street and spoke to Sky News from his back garden.  What's inside the house Keir???

The Shadow Foreign Secretary was taking no chances last night and hid herself away in the attic.  Smart move Lisa.

QT FROM TUNBRIDGE WELLS

Once again this is not an inspiring line-up from the Beeb and has a decidedly woke feel about it.  The only Leave voter on the panel is the Telegraph's Tim Stanley.  There's almost certainly going to be a clash between the Health Secretary and the GP, although Hancock is so painfully dull it's not going to set the screen alight.  Dr Xander implored his social media followers to chuck the Tories out at the election for the 'sake of the NHS', although his opposition to Brexit was probably a factor too.

The sneering Beckett should have been put out to pasture years ago.  At 77 she's still clinging to the Westminster gravy train and almost old enough to be competing for a shot at Donald Trump.  Here's a clip from one of her previous Question Time appearances.  This was back in 2009 at the height of the expenses scandal, it didn't go too well for her...

This is the hashtag being used by actor Laurence Fox to mock his detractors on Twitter.  Following his infamous appearance on the BBC's Question Time he's been inundated with abuse from leftist keyboard warriors, but he's taken them on in style.

Retweeting your troll to a much wider audience is a tactic deployed by many celebs and can lead to the troll themselves being trolled.  Bullies and cowards are generally only able to hand out abuse and cannot take it, often deleting their tweet and/or account when faced with a backlash themselves.  Fox won several of his Twitter battles this way.

Note that in her tweet she identifies as 'black', which of course she is entitled to do.  Except that she's not, in the same way Meghan Markle isn't black.  With their pale skin and flowing locks it's an absurd suggestion and one might argue that to deny one side of your parentage based on race is in itself racist.  Just saying.

The lack of self awareness on display from the singer here is astonishing.  Is this the same Lily Allen who constantly forces her woke left-wing opinions on the rest of us?  Is this the same Lily Allen who is the daughter of two famous actors?  Pot, kettle, black.  Perhaps given her semi-literate outbursts and foul mouth she should stick to singing!

As for Fox's awesome hashtag #stunningandbrave, it comes from the title of an episode of the satirical US show South Park.  The episode in question mocks the increasing authoritarianism of political correctness.  How very apt.

REMOANER'S GROOMING GANG EDIT

This week's Question Time featured a rather humdrum line-up at first glance, but there was always the wildcard celeb who might spice things up a bit.  It's fair to say that actor Laurence Fox did a little more than that.  Twitter is still in meltdown 24 hours later.

One of several outstanding contributions Fox made to the programme was his assessment of identity politics that resulted in a huge online backlash from the left.  He later expanded on this, but crossed a red line on all establishment fronts - he mentioned grooming gangs.

One of the thousands of Twitter followers incensed by Fox's antics was the Remain campaigner Femi Izawally.  He issued a series of tweets condemning Fox, including one supposedly featuring a clip from the programme.  However, as you can see below there is a key difference between what was actually broadcast on BBC1 and the edited version he put out to his 245,000 Twitter followers...

Next time you see his smug face on TV, just remember that he is not just an affront to democracy, he is another enabler of the industrial scale rape of English girls by Muslim gangs.  They have been allowed to get away with this for years because of a conspiracy of silence, something which Laurence Fox alluded to, and something which the odious Femi has proven with his shockingly poor edit.

CORBYN'S QT LIE EXPOSED

A damning video appeared following Corbyn's appearance on the Question Time special on Friday night.  During the show Corbyn was taken to task on anti-Semitism by a member of the audience, in particular his interaction with a far left thug in 2016.  The question related to an incident in which Jewish MP Ruth Smeeth walked out of a Labour event to mark the launch of the Chakrabarti Inquiry.  Hard left activist Marc Wadsworth had accused her of working with 'right-wing' press against the party leadership.  Wadsworth was later expelled, but continues to back Corbyn.

The Great Leader responded to the audience member's accusation by admitting that he said 'hello' to Wadsworth, but in fact he did much more than that as the video revealed.  "I'll send you a text" Corbyn tells Wadsworth who responds moments later by announcing "I outed Smeeth".  They may as well have high-fived.

PLANT-BASED CONSPIRACY LOONS

Last night's BBC Question Time was a very good watch indeed.  With Brexit-blocking Lib Dem Layla Moran sat next to pro-Leave journalist Isabel Oakeshott it was always going to be a good ride.  The Brummie audience didn't disappoint either.  About ten minutes in a very young man tore into both Moran and Labour's Jon Ashworth.  Ashworth was writing notes when the teenager began and wasn't taking any notice, but was soon shaken to attention when the audience began applauding.  It was one of the highlights of the show.

This quickly became our most popular tweet to date, but also attracted the fury of Labour leftists.  The word 'plant' was deployed time and time again as they vented their anger that a Tory supporter had been allowed airtime.  The irony of their referring to him as a 'fascist' while denouncing his right to speak was clearly lost on them.

The young lad was soon identified as Layton Smith, a pro-Leave Conservative and 'aspiring politician'.  Some Labour trolls were cock-a-hoop as it provided further evidence of their crazed 'Tory plant' conspiracy.  One daft professor spun a bizarre yarn about a BBC producer dressing the young man up to look more 'working class'.

In an excruciatingly embarrassing u-turn the professor later admits that he got the wrong producer (Rob Burley doesn't work on Question Time) and that the lad in question is not actually 'Cyril' at all!

Even the basic premise of a 'plant' doesn't stand up to much scrutiny.  Anyone, literally anyone, can apply to be in the Question Time audience.  Activists from a myriad of political parties have popped up in the audience over the years - including Labour activists.  Naturally, these people don't complain as long as it's the Tories who are being attacked.

In any case this episode backfired on them immeasurably.  This time yesterday Layton was a fairly anonymous young man who had a couple of hundred followers on Twitter.  After the trolls began spreading his name around the Twittersphere he garnered a following of more than 5,000 (and counting).  Needless to say, the 19-year-old is now the very happy recipient of a rapidly growing profile!

REMOANER HATE

It's dreadful language, but it's nothing new.  We've seen their disgusting posters - "Old white people please die" and "No country for old white men".  People like Owen Jones have legitimised the use of the word 'gammon', a racial slur for white people, while it's acceptable for pro-Leave MPs to be harassed in the street when Remain MPs are off limits.  On Question Time last night a young lady in the audience accused Farage of 'preying on racism'.  This from the side that deploys racial slurs in the open.

This is just a very brief selection.  Call it out.

And yet the media narrative still dictates that Brexiteers are the deplorables!

In Motherwell on Thursday the BBC's Question Time saw one of the greatest audience contributions of all time.  The SNP's Fiona Hyslop sat open mouthed as the man in the red tracksuit obliterated her party's record in the last two referendums.  His passionate delivery was accompanied by enthusiastic applause.  Sir, we salute you...

THE LEFT UNLEASHED ON FIONA BRUCE

Following Diane Abbott's disastrous appearance on Question Time last week the hard left online hate machine went into overdrive.  Of course it was nothing to do with Diane's ineptitude, but all down to the bias and lies of the presenter, Fiona Bruce, and good old-fashioned racism.  Predictable to say the least.

Now Derby is largely a Labour town, it even elects one of the hardest left MPs in Parliament - Chris Williamson - but this audience was 'wacist' according to Diane and her supporters.  They were 'whipped up' into a frenzy of hate towards her in a pre-broadcast session directed by none other than Fiona Bruce herself!  However, no proof of this exists and one of Diane's fellow panelists has categorically denied it happened (as does Bruce and her BBC employers).

Such is the hate being directed towards Bruce since that night that she has reportedly been advised to stay off social media and hide her home address.  By the way, Owen Jones, we thought all the hate in this country came from the far right?  Just saying.

In last night's Question Time the presenter took the unusual move of responding to the furore over Abbott's appearance.  Thankfully, it was not quite the apology demanded by Momentum, but merely a clarification of a remark made by Bruce about opinion polls.  As you can see from the table below it can be very confusing as to what the polls are actually saying.

Why anyone is still discussing opinion polls at all is a mystery, particularly given the fact they have been largely discredited in recent years.  Who can forget the predictions of a Tory landslide in 2017 and the expected Remain vote of 2016?  The final big poll ahead of the Scottish referendum predicted a narrow victory for Yes and yet it swung the other way considerably.

The polling issue is a moot point, but it was a tool with which the hard left could beat Bruce with.  After that they had to make stuff up, a bit like Owen Jones and his far right phantom menace.  The truth is that this whole affair is just another rattle being thrown out of the pram.  The left has had it all their way on Question Time for years.  Despite claims to the contrary, the audience is nearly always overwhelmingly to the left.  Anyone can see that.  The panel is ALWAYS skewed in favour of Remainers.  If anyone has been 'bullied' on QT over the years it has been the many solitary right-leaning representatives.  The one time a leftie gets jeered and the left go into meltdown, making up conspiracy theories and denouncing the presenter as a 'Tory' and a 'racist'.  Laughable.

We've said it before and we'll say it yet again - Diane, it's not because you're a black woman.  It's because you're a moron.

OAKESHOTT ON ABBOTT CLAIMS

CHANGE THE RECORD DIANE!

Diane Abbott had a torrid time on Question Time this week.  She was one of four Remainers on the panel, but when it came to Brexit she was hapless.  Of course she is not helped by the fact her party leader continues to sit on the fence over Brexit, while many of his colleagues stamp their feet for a second referendum, and now he refuses to speak to the Prime Minister in a woefully misjudged dead-end tactic.  A savvy politician would still manage to polish over these obstacles, but alas Diane is not savvy in the slightest.  Every time she gives an interview or takes part in a panel show it is like watching a car crash in slow motion.  In short, she is fucking useless.

No doubt having eyed all the negative media surrounding her latest display, a statement was released on Friday evening by her spokesperson.

"We are appalled by the treatment of Diane Abbott on BBC’s Question Time. It was clear that a hostile atmosphere was whipped up, propped up by reports of inappropriate and sexist commentary in the audience warm-up session.  A public broadcaster like the BBC should be expected to be a model of impartiality and equality.  The BBC cannot claim anything of the sort when analysis of the programme shows that the only black woman on the panel was jeered at and interrupted more times than any other panellist, including by the chair herself.  The media must stop legitimising mistreatment, bias and abuse against Ms Abbott as a black woman in public life.  The BBC should be ashamed that their programming is complicit in such behaviour".

OK, so let's break this down.  No-one can substantiate these 'reports' of inappropriate and sexist commentary.  Did it actually happen?  Doubtful.  The host of Question Time is now a woman, there were more women on the panel than men and none of them have made complaints.

"Analysis of the programme shows that the only black woman on the panel was jeered at more times than any other panellist...".  Yes, of course she was.  But it was nothing to do with her ethnicity or gender, it was because she is a bumbling idiot trying to justify reprehensible politics.  "The BBC should be ashamed...".  No, you should be ashamed for once again pulling the race card to detract from yet another moronic performance in front of the cameras.

IS DIANE OK?

When Diane Abbott appeared on Question Time last Thursday the obvious thing to look out for was one of her trademark gaffes.  However, what she actually left us with was concern for her health.  In addition to her puffed up face, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that her hand was shaking uncontrollably.  In the exchange below, watch her right fist after she rests it on the table...

Uncontrollable shaking is a symptom of Parkinson's disease, not in itself proof that Diane is afflicted, but when combined with her occasionally slurred speech and constant fumbling over numbers, one has to wonder.  Of course she could just have been very angry at Mr Peterson's clearly superior intellect and logic.  Our future Home Secretary does not like being told that she is not the moral judge of what is 'hate speech'!

In addition to Diane's apparent loss of motor function, there is also her occasional disappearances from public life.  For someone 'destined' to be our Home Secretary, this is clearly unacceptable.  Imagine for one second that she was the minister responsible for national security and our nation was struck by some awful disaster.  Sorry folks, the Home Secretary is 'feeling unwell', come back tomorrow.  Or next week.

Finally, the most damning proof that Diane is suffering from a serious illness came during a prolonged absence last year.  Her colleague Barry Gardiner was quoted as saying Diane had a 'serious, long term condition'.  When Diane finally re-emerged she announced that it was type 2 diabetes that had struck her down.  However, this is not consistent with the symptoms she has displayed and if her diabetes is so out of control how come she is pictured on the razzle so often?  Furthermore, how can she seriously expect to hold great office if she can't get her own blood sugar under control for a major TV appearance?

Let's hope Diane recovers from her mystery illness, for one thing she is a reliable source of frivolity and ammunition for those mocking the Labour Party.  She may be a despicable human being, a hypocrite and traitor, but we don't wish ill health on anyone.
