LONDON CLOWN SHOW

A rainbow coalition of political parties, trade unionists, communist groups, Islamists and coachloads of tofu-eating keffiyeh-clad middle class muppets bussed in from around the country descended on central London on Saturday.  Organisers had hoped that their high profile event, coined the 'Together Alliance', would be the largest leftist demonstration in history.  Well, shit.

Prior to any speeches as the march culminated in Trafalgar Square, organisers had decided to make the bold claim that turnout was 'half a million'.  Even if this were remotely true, the crowds on Saturday would still be eclipsed by various leftist marches of yesteryear.  The fact that organisers decided to land at such a conservative figure, instead of going down the Tommy Robinson route of claiming a turnout of 'millions', suggests that the real turnout was much lower and beneath the bravado it must have been bitterly disappointing.

The Metropolitan Police estimated crowd numbers to be ten times less than what the organisers had claimed - 'more like 50,000' - although Met estimates are always much lower and the truth is usually somewhere in between.  However, here's the real kicker for the leftists - the Met's estimated turnout for Tommy Robinson's 'Unite the Kingdom' march last September was 'between 110,000 and 150,000'.  Ouch.  Furthermore, the Met is hardly going to lend any bias towards the dreaded 'far right', so it appears that we have reached a point in our history that figures on the right can now mobilise 'at least' twice as many people as those on the left.  It should also be noted that Saturday's leftist march was actually a combination of two separate marches.  A separate Palestine march converged with the main Together Alliance march to boost numbers.

The march was led by a myriad of politicians from Labour, the Greens, Your Party and even Plaid Cymru.  Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana had notably put clear distance between each other as the tensions in their shitshow party continue.  In fact most of the Labour MPs appeared to put distance between themselves and Corbyn, instead gathering alongside Sultana.  Corbyn found himself marching next to the purple-haired Liz Saville-Roberts of Plaid Cymru.  The Green contingent at the head of the march included Zack Polanski, Mothin Ali, Rachel Millward and Hannah Spencer.  Labour MPs from the Socialist Campaign Group of usual suspects included Richard Burgon, John McDonnell, Apsana Begum, Diane Abbott, Ian Byrne and Bell Ribeiro-Addy.  Disgraced former Labour MP Claudia Webbe could also be seen mingling around her former PLP colleagues.  Stella Creasy was also present elsewhere on the march.

Dawn Butler was barely recognisable in a bizarre outfit topped by a beret that made her look like a 1980s Guardian Angel throwback, only in the light blue colours of Reform UK - an odd choice considering the 'far right' enemy they were supposedly marching against was largely characterised by Reform UK.  Of course, this is ridiculous in itself and made a mockery of the marchers' claims to be 'uniting' people.  If anyone who doesn't subscribe to your hard left agenda is 'far right' - including a very popular political outfit currently leading every single national poll, but which is increasingly looking like a rebranded Tory party - then the term 'far right' is meaningless and the only people you will be uniting is your communist clique of progressive bourgeois hypocrites.  Certainly, the Muslim groups that rocked up didn't want to be seen with you...

The Muslim Council of Britain, Muslim Association of Great Britain, Muslim Engagement and Definition (MEND) and Friends of Al-Aqsa were all represented along the route, but they segregated themselves from the debauchery of the progressives in front of them.  As Zack Polanski and Hannah Spencer pranced about on stage alongside half naked leather clad homosexuals, their colleague Mothin Ali was nowhere to be seen and the crowd in front of them was overwhelmingly - almost exclusively - white.  This moment epitomised the exploitation of both sides of the left-wing divide.  Depraved parties like Labour and the Greens need the rapidly growing Muslim electorate to maintain and expand their number of Westminster seats, while Islamists need depraved parties like Labour and the Greens to forge their own path to power.  The two are on an inevitable path towards a violent collision that is going to end very badly for the progressives.

It was no great surprise to see the words 'trojan horse' trending on X this weekend.

DAWN'S APRIL FOOL

Like most MPs, Dawn Butler is not known for possessing a sense of humour.  How could she possibly amuse herself amid such a miserable life of perpetual oppression and victimhood?  Don't be fooled by her £93k salary, two homes and twenty years as a Member of Parliament, our Dawn faces discrimination on a daily basis.  A funny look is never far away in racist Britain, in which Dawn represents a constituency in our capital, where British people are now a minority and the Mayor is brown.

Anyway, enough of our mockery, it turns out that Ms Butler does indeed possess a sense of humour.  It may not be at all funny to anyone except herself, but we cannot begrudge her effort here...

Having posted the joke to her social media accounts before office hours on Tuesday, it appears that Dawn had one of her staff members produce it in advance.  The response was mixed to say the least, with many finding it inappropriate on the day that Brits got even poorer.  Others simply fell for it, and who can forgive them in the Clown World that surrounds us today?

ABSTAINERS PUT CAREER FIRST

Abstainers and absentees: Duffield, Allin-Khan and Johnson

Only one Labour MP voted against his government's winter fuel cut on Tuesday.  It remains to be seen whether Jon Trickett will have the whip removed, but that was the threat facing him and his colleagues ahead of the vote.  348 Labour MPs supported the government, while 52 abstained or were absent.

There was fierce criticism online for both those backing the cut as well as those who abstained.  The words 'SHAME ON YOU', 'cowardly' and 'gutless' all trended on X following the vote.  Canterbury's Rosie Duffield was one of those singled out after she admitted in an interview that maintaining the Labour whip was more important than voting against the fuel cut.  She abstained.  The clip can be seen below.

Kim Johnson (Liverpool Riverside) was another MP who faced criticism after she excused herself from the vote for 'pre-arranged dental surgery'.  If she was so concerned for the lives of pensioners this winter, she would surely have postponed or rearranged her dentistry...

Rosena Allin-Khan (Tooting) was another who excused herself for medical reasons.  Dr Allin-Khan rose to fame during the scamdemic by returning to hospital work to help out in her role as a medical doctor.  The overwhelming majority of those who died from coronavirus were elderly (the average age of coronavirus death was 81), but Allin-Khan was not prepared to support them on this occasion.  She blamed an accident 'this week' that requires surgery.  With the vote taking place on Tuesday, she could only have fallen in the previous 48 hours.  The timing is questionable at best and 46 is not an age prone to hospital-worthy slips and trips...

Dawn Butler (Brent East) was also rinsed by X users for posting a video about mental health and not referring to the winter fuel cut at all.  She did not vote.

Rebecca Long-Bailey (Salford) was one of seven Labour MPs suspended by Starmer after having voted against the government over the child benefit cap.  However, unlike five of the others currently suspended, she abstained on Tuesday.  She posted a lengthy and evasive statement on social media that was signed off 'Rebecca Long-Bailey - Putting Salford First'.  It appears that the former leadership contender is more concerned with having the whip restored than putting her elderly constituents first.

Ian Lavery (Blyth & Ashington) posted a statement saying he had 'never voted to make his constituents poorer'.  He then went and abstained.  He also seems to have forgotten how he voted during the scamdemic, when he repeatedly voted for Covid legislation that made every single one of us poorer!

The general consensus is that the 52 Labour MPs who abstained or were absent are just as culpable for pensioners' deaths this winter as the 348 who backed the government.  While it is true to say that 52 votes would not have swung the outcome - such is Labour's huge majority - it would have provided a damaging blow to Keir Starmer and perhaps given red voters some hope that not all Labour MPs are career politicians.  Instead, by not having the moral compass or courage to defy Keir Starmer, they have shown everybody that their place on the gravy train is more important than the lives of their elderly constituents.

STARMER CRACKS THE WHIP

Keir Starmer sent a clear message on Tuesday that he will not tolerate dissidents, suspending the party whip from seven hard left MPs following a minor rebellion in the Commons.  The seven were all from the Socialist Campaign Group of MPs.  Of course, when you have a 174 seat majority, one can afford to suspend a fair number - in fact Starmer could have suspended the entire Socialist Campaign Group of 24 MPs if they had all voted accordingly.  The seven, who include the likes of John McDonnell and Rebecca Long-Bailey, will remain suspended for six months and sit as independents during that time.

It was an SNP-backed amendment that led to the first rebellion of Starmer's premiership.  The amendment demanded an end to the two child benefit cap, introduced by the Tories in 2017.  Naturally, those on the left favour a never-ending flow of state handouts to families, regardless of the size and ability to earn a living.

The government won the vote 363-103.  The Lib Dems, Greens, Plaid and all the Northern Ireland parties supported the SNP motion.  The Conservatives abstained, while 41 Labour MPs abstained or were absent, including eight members of the Socialist Campaign Group - Diane Abbott, Mary Foy, Kim Johnson, Ian Lavery, Andy McDonald, Bell Ribeiro-Addy, Jon Trickett and Nadia Whittome.  The remainder of the SCG voted with the government, one of whom tried to con her way out of her 'scabby' vote...

Dawn Butler declared on X that she supported an end to the two child benefit cap, publishing a letter she had written to Liz Kendall, who is now Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.  The BBC even erroneously reported that Butler had abstained on the vote.  She didn't, her vote is recorded with the noes, alongside SCG comrades (or scabs, as the left might say) Tahir Ali, Olivia Blake, Marsha de Cordova, Clive Lewis, Rachael Maskell, Grahame Morris, Kate Osamor and Kate Osborne.  None of these others tried to weasel their way out like Butler tried (and failed, judging by the comments on her post).

This significant three-way split for Labour's hard left will no doubt please centrists like Starmer.

When Starmer won the Labour leadership in 2020, it soon became clear that the hard left - under which he had served as a shadow minister - were going to feel the squeeze.  Former front bench comrades such as Corbyn, Abbott, McDonnell and co were going to the sword at the first opportunity.  Corbyn was felled, but got his revenge earlier this month by robbing Starmer of Islington North.  Abbott was felled, then she was readmitted.  McDonnell kept his head down and kept his seat.  Others who were suspended, expelled and/or deselected were Lloyd Russell-Moyle, Sam Tarry and Claudia Webbe.

DAWN DITCHES CAMEO

We know many MPs are all too keen to expand their already considerable wealth by taking on second, even third jobs.  We know some like to grab the headlines for their own narcissistic self-indulgence and in order to capitalise on their fame later on.  One such MP is Dawn Butler.

Last year Dawn was still riding high on the publicity afforded her following a police stop in which she was the passenger.  With the BLM uprising still ravaging America, Dawn filmed the encounter and exploited it to the hilt.  The following summer she became the first sitting MP to join Cameo, a website where visitors pay 'celebrities' in order to receive a personalised video message.

Dawn's cringeworthy introductory video can be seen below, in which she definitely appears to be in the driving seat (this time).  Note the 'serious MP' description...

Dawn is said to have charged £30 a pop for a video, a snip compared to the £83 charged by ex-speaker John Bercow and the hundreds of pounds charged by the likes of Robbie Coltrane and rock legend Alice Cooper.  Unfortunately it seems, Dawn was not a popular destination for users of Cameo.

Butler has now deleted her profile after garnering little interest.  Despite offering a service in which 'fans' could unlock 'more content', according to the Guido Fawkes blog she reportedly had only six fans at the time her profile disappeared.  This was accompanied by just one review - a five star review that could in all possibility have been left by Dawn herself.  Sad.

LAING GETS BETTER OF BUTLER

Commons deputy speaker Eleanor Laing clashed with Dawn Butler this week after the MP accused a Tory minister of misleading Parliament over Covid contracts.  Of course it is the great irony of Westminster that it is forbidden to make accusations of dishonesty in this place of lies.  After Butler doubled down on her initial choice of words, in a third foray she rephrased them in a manner which Laing accepted.

This is not the first time that Butler has tested the Commons chair.  Earlier this year she was ordered from the chamber after accusing Boris Johnson of lying.  Acting deputy speaker Judith Commons (herself a Labour MP) made a martyr of Butler on that occasion (click below for video).

Butler's latest dance with the chair comes a week after Laing was defied repeatedly by Butler's comrade Zarah Sultana.  Despite Sultana refusing point blank to withdraw her remark, Laing chose not to have her removed from the chamber.  The martyrdom of being kicked out of the Commons appears to be well sought after by those on Labour's hard left and there will surely be plenty more attempts to rile the chair during the course of this parliament.

TO CROP OR NOT TO CROP

Despite much campaigning on the part of Barry Gardiner, Labour's proposed 'fire and rehire bill' has been blocked by the Tories.  The unscrupulous practice of sacking employees and rehiring them on worse pay was rightly condemned across the House, but the government declared that legislation would not necessarily prevent it.  That is odd reasoning coming from a government that has legislated incessantly since 2019 with an iron fist.

Gardiner was upbeat despite the defeat and said that the campaign would continue.  On Thursday he tweeted a photo of himself with a large group of colleagues outside the Commons.  There was a good mix of Labour MPs present, with frontbenchers and moderates mingling alongside members of the hard left (see below).

The photo clearly does not show the full scale of Barry's gathering, with faces to the left and right partially cropped.  On the far right of the photograph you can clearly see Liam Byrne, the MP for Birmingham Hodge Hill and failed West Midlands mayoral candidate.  Someone is holding a placard next to him, but they have been cropped out altogether.  

In earlier photographs, including the one below posted by Janet Daby (Lewisham East), Byrne is seen standing next to none other than convicted criminal Claudia Webbe (circled in red).  Liam does not seem to be fazed by her presence.

It appears that Barry was also keen to crop out Stephen Doughty (Cardiff South & Penarth) - circled in yellow.  There is good reason for this, also.  Prior to the photo shoot Doughty was reprimanded by the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner after he tried several times to procure class C drugs from a constituent.  Despite the criminal act - for which he has apologised - Doughty has escaped justice and remains a member of Starmer's front bench.

The same cannot be said for Webbe, who had the party whip removed last year after she was charged with harassment.

Daby's photograph may have included both Webbe and Doughty, but it still does not show the group in full.  On the far right you can just about make out Rupa Huq (Ealing Central & Acton) standing on Webbe's left, although she is mostly cropped out.  In the following photo shared by Mohammad Yasin (Bedford) we get a different angle and again Huq is partially cropped out, but now we get a big clue as to why.

We can now see Dave Lammy standing behind Webbe, also unfazed by her presence.  We can also just about make out the familiar grey hair and black-rimmed spectacles of a former Labour leader, standing behind Huq.  It couldn't be, could it?

Thanks to another photograph obtained by The Spectator, it is confirmed that the man being deliberately cropped out of all of the photographs is the still suspended Jeremy Corbyn (see below).

Note also that the current party leader is now part of the proceedings.  Yes, that's right, Keir Starmer is apparently happy to pose for photographs alongside the convicted Webbe!

To be fair to Sir Squeaky, he did crop her out of the photo he tweeted (see below).

In this final image note the total absence of Gardiner, whose place at the front and centre is taken by Starmer.  It's almost as if Gardiner took umbrage at Starmer's presence and did a disappearing act.  Dawn Butler, Afzal Khan and Emily Thornberry have also disappeared, while hard left MPs Olivia Blake and Kim Johnson remain.  Very interesting...

DAWN RAKES UP POLICE STOP (AGAIN)

Dawn Butler is still gloating about 'her' police stop one year on.  Earlier this week she used the incident as the premise for an anti-Met article in the Metro.  More than half of the article is dedicated to the police stop as she trots out the same twisted version of events.  "I did not lie" she writes, yet in the previous paragraph she claims that she never pretended to be the driver or flipped the footage to suggest that she was (someone flipped the footage, otherwise there wouldn't be two versions).

Every time she drags up this story she describes being personally stopped by the police, a statement that to any newcomer would suggest that she had been driving the car.  The police don't stop a passenger, they stop the driver.

Please Dawn, you have not persistently shared this story to shine a light on 'wacism'.  You share this story at every opportunity because you crave the attention.  Over the course of the past year there must be endless more important things for the Met to have been engaged with rather than entertaining your egotistical whim.

THE DAWN OF NARCISSISM

For a while we at BTLP laboured under the notion that there was no greater narcissist in the Parliamentary Labour Party than Jess Me Me Me Phillips.  Jess's great love for herself is not in doubt, but she overplayed herself by standing for the leadership last year.  Following that abortive car crash she took her deflated ego and crawled into a pit of shame, with barely a peep heard since.  Step forward Dawn Butler, who during the same leadership election appeared to accept her limitations by giving the deputy leadership a punt.  

Despite finishing fifth of five, Dawn's ego has grown and grown.  This was more than evident in the infamous police stop of August 2020.  Despite Butler being merely a passenger in the car, the incident became all about her and she embarked on a blitz of self-publicity, initially perpetuating the lie that she had been in the driver's seat (aided by Sky News).

In June she became the first sitting MP to join Cameo, a website that trades in personalised video messages from desperate celebs, mostly z-list actors whose careers have faltered.  Butler's Cameo page features an introductory message (ironically filmed in the passenger seat of a car) and the quip: "I am a serious MP with a serious sense of humour".  Good grief.

Dawn is not the first politician to join the site - users can also purchase cringeworthy messages from the likes of John Bercow (£85), Nigel Farage (£75) and Donald Trump Jr (£375).  Dawn's messages are not half as pricey, but sadly thus far she has not garnered much attention (she has one review compared to Farage's 484).  For someone whose lofty expenses have often found her in the news headlines, it should come as no surprise that Dawn Butler would be found on a site looking to squeeze more dollars out of the British public.  Despite being a London MP, she has claimed thousands from the taxpayer for a second home - as has her neighbouring MP Barry Gardiner.  Brent is less than ten miles from Westminster.

Ahead of the Batley and Spen by-election, which Labour were expected to lose, Butler again appeared to be up to her self-publicist tricks.  She was 'rumoured' to be planning a leadership challenge to Starmer in the event of a Labour defeat and was 'forced to deny' the reports.  It's a safe bet that the source of those rumours was Dawn herself, who was spotted swanning around the constituency with a camera crew in tow.

A camera crew was present again days later as Butler's ego was inflated to gigantic proportions with the presentation of a blue plaque on her childhood home.  However, the circus surrounding the unveiling was misleading, for this was not a traditional blue plaque designated by English Heritage.  No, this was a local initiative calling itself the 'Waltham Forest Heritage'.  Still, the plagiarism didn't seem to bother Dawn as she revelled in the attention, pinning her acceptance speech to the top of her Twitter feed.

Last month she was back to self-publicist best when she orchestrated her own removal from Parliament by calling the Prime Minister a liar.  Despite the House of Commons being home to hundreds of routine liars, it is of supreme irony that members are not supposed to refer to each other in such a way, a fact that Dawn knew only too well prior to her speech.  After refusing to retract her statement she was ordered from the Commons by the deputy speaker and immediately retreated to her passenger seat to record a defiant message.  However, this was just the beginning.

Butler was in a film studio the very same day to provide a further statement on her ejection from the Commons.  It's almost as if the whole thing had been pre-planned.  The following day she wrote a piece for the Metro, spoke to James O'Brien on LBC Radio, started a petition and released another video statement.  In the days that followed she appeared on Owen Jones's podcast, made another two video statements and retweeted endless messages of support as comrades and journalists massaged her ego.  Recent Labour recruit John Bercow chimed in with a message of support and Remain group Led By Donkeys projected an image of the PM against the Houses of Parliament with a dedication to Butler.

The most absurd part of this story was the 'lie' on which Butler based her accusation.  Instead of taking apart a pandemic built on awful lies, including the demonstrably proven manipulation of statistics, Butler chose a relatively innocuous claim that Johnson had made about the link between infections, hospitalisations and deaths.  The link had not been 'severed', but 'weakened'.  Really, Dawn?  Is that the best you could come up with to justify your week-long exercise of naval-gazing?  You could have easily brought up the lie about the imposition of domestic vaccine passports, another proven lie that had been exposed earlier that very same week.  But no, rather than highlight a lie that could be seen as critical to the liberty-crushing restrictions that you have consistently voted in favour of throughout the pandemic, in your desperation you chose something that was probably with the best intentions not even a lie at all.  Pathetic.

Like Jess Phillips, Dawn Butler is a legend in her own mind.  Angela Rayner has a similar ego, but the key difference is that Rayner has already risen to loftier heights than either of these losers ever will and in the case of Dawn Butler, Rayner has done so in just a third of the time Butler has served as an MP.

BUTLER'S TRANS POLL BACKFIRES

Dawn Butler has been humiliated on Twitter after posting a poll designed to mock Tory minister Liz Truss.  In her role as Minister for Women and Equalities, Truss suggested that all government departments cut ties with Stonewall, the LGBT rights group that has adopted an increasingly extremist stance on transgenderism.  Its chief executive recently likened criticism of self-gender identity to anti-Semitism.  Like many of her colleagues, Butler has clearly sided with the transfascist lobby.

Unfortunately, the final result of her own poll revealed that more than two thirds had sided with Truss... 

Considering that Dawn has almost 155,000 followers on Twitter, this is an excruciatingly painful fail.

STARMER APOLOGISES FOR CHURCH VISIT

Keir Starmer has been forced into a humiliating apology after he visited a church on Good Friday that is led by a pastor opposed to gay marriage.  In a now-deleted video posted to his social media accounts, Starmer spoke highly of the Jesus House in Brent, describing it as "a wonderful example of a church serving their community".  He was referring to the church being repurposed as a vaccination centre for coronavirus.

The church pastor, Agu Irukwu, has previously spoken out against gay marriage and in support of conversion therapy and prayer as a way to 'cure' homosexuals.  Labour's LGBT wing responded to Starmer's visit by demanding that he delete his video and issue a public apology.  Sir Squeaky duly obliged in just a matter of hours...

Worth noting that both Boris Johnson and Prince Charles have also visited Jesus House in recent weeks, but unlike the limp-wristed Starmer and his woke party, there was no circus and no apology.

It's surprising that Sir Keir claims that he was 'not aware' prior to his visit, considering that it was his second visit in almost a week.  Footage used in his Good Friday video was actually filmed a week earlier, when he was accompanied to the church by the local MP Dawn Butler.  It flew under the radar of the woke mob at the time, despite a sliver of media coverage and a tweet from the controversial pastor himself.  During that visit Starmer was even pictured bumping elbows with the pastor.

Dawn Butler still follows Jesus House on Twitter, but she is apparently beyond reproach.  Presumably racism trumps homophobia in the world of woke, so no-one dares have a pop at Dawn.

PERKINS' WIFE GAFFE

During yesterday's Commons debate there were a couple of embarrassing gaffes from Labour MPs.  Dawn Butler popped up with her question to the Prime Minister, but fell flat on her face before she'd even got to ask it, addressing the Speaker as 'Mr Deputy Speaker'.  Someone hastily corrected her, which she laughed off with a flippant apology.  Sir Lindsay Hoyle's reaction could not be seen, but one can imagine he was not amused.  Butler posted the video to her social media accounts, but edited out the gaffe.  The full embarrassing version can be seen here.

Even more humiliating was the contribution of Chesterfield MP Toby Perkins.  The Labour frontbencher wanted to ask about the issue of pub closures, but was met with laughter from both sides of the house as he inadvertently referred to his own infidelity: "The Prime Minister will be as aware as anyone, people don't generally go to the pub to meet their own wife".  While it may have been intended as a dig at the PM's track record in love, Perkins himself reportedly tried to gag his mistress last year.  

The MP was knocked off guard by the giggles and he struggled to maintain his composure as he stuttered and stammered his way to the conclusion of his question.  Watch below.

When news broke that a police officer had been shot dead in London overnight, one Labour figure was instantly doomed to a flood of criticism - and rightly so.  While most - if not all - Labour MPs have saluted the police-hating BLM organisation this year, perhaps none more than Dawn Butler has done more to whip up animosity towards the Old Bill.

Her crusade against the Met reached fever pitch when her friend was stopped by officers in August.  She immediately spun the incident into something that it wasn't and was able to broadcast her false narrative on mainstream media for several days afterwards.  By claiming that her driver friend was black (still unproven) Butler had tried to frame the police stop as racially motivated.  The fact that the police were travelling behind their vehicle and it had tinted windows was apparently irrelevant to both Dawn and a media who were only too willing to give her a platform to spout her divisive nonsense.

The incident topped off a summer of Butler pouring scorn on the police and in particular the Met.  Despite the pandemic, Butler not only attended BLM protests - she addressed them.  She was front and centre when Labour MPs 'took the knee' at Westminster.  She also called for Cressida Dick to stand down over 'institutional racism' - at this point let's just remind ourselves that George Floyd was killed on the other side of the Atlantic and British police were not involved.

So please Dawn, spare us your 'heartfelt' messages today.

Just as we thought Dawn Butler couldn't squeeze any more life out of her police encounter, up pops the president of the National Black Police Association to lend her some support.  She's definitely in need of some, seeing as she's found little sympathy beyond her Labour colleagues.  The wall-to-wall media coverage of what was an uneventful everyday incident has seriously rubbed up the public the wrong way, especially seeing as the violent crime epidemic in London shows no sign of slowing. 

Therefore it's no great surprise to see last week's most shared featured that very theme.  This BTLP original was shared 4,742 times via the Facebook page.

BUTLER FORGES ON

It's now a week since Dawn Butler just happened to be the passenger in a car that was stopped by the police.  Yet still she is whipping up hatred against them and doubling down on her false claims of racism.  On Friday she had an article published in the socialist Tribune magazine in which she repeated her claims, including stating once again that the driver was black, not of mixed heritage or white.  Presumably Sky News has seen the entire clip, as it was Sky who broke the story and edited the clip for their news bulletin.  They will know either way for sure, but they say nothing.  This is not journalism and provides an insight into how the mainstream media are now pumping out propaganda instead of asking questions.  The driver was not black, we can see that from the flashes of pale skin that Sky didn't blur out, but they are happy to go along with Dawn's lies because they too want to portray British police in a negative light.

In her article Butler refers to a meeting she had with Cressida Dick last week.  The meeting was pre-arranged and not specifically held for the purpose of discussing her friend's police stop - yes, that's right Dawn, it was he who was stopped by the police, not you.  However, despite saying that the incident was 'briefly discussed', Dawn released a statement on Friday in which the incident is the only thing discussed (see below).  Here she says that her friend 'wishes to remain anonymous', but that the Met 'will indeed corroborate that the driver is a black male'.  No such confirmation from the Met has arrived yet.

Butler's undoubted narcissism continues to blur her judgement.  In her article she manages to namecheck George Floyd as if her friend's routine police stop is as earth-shatteringly significant as Floyd's death.  She also drops a ball by confirming that the car in which she was travelling has rear tinted windows, inadvertently corroborating the fact that there is no way the police patrol could have identified the ethnicity of the driver anyway - even if he was black, which he clearly wasn't.  Dawn is also now making complaints about the backlash against her on social media.

On Friday she tweeted a montage of abusive comments directed against her and, although she doesn't make any reference to them being 'racist', her party leader jumped in with such a claim.  Sir Squeaky retweeted the montage stating that: "The racism that Dawn and many other Black MPs face is abhorrent. Completely unacceptable".  However, if you look closely at the montage (see below), it's clear that only a fraction of the comments could be described as 'racism'.  The overwhelming majority are just generally abusive towards an MP who has abused her position to whip up hatred against the police service.

If Dawn Butler had chosen another course of action - perhaps in supporting the police and not conducting a week-long publicity drive against them - she would not currently be experiencing such a backlash.  And in supporting her race baiting it's clear that the future is grim under this Labour leader.

MET HIT BACK

The Metropolitan Police clearly have their work cut out dealing with huge levels of post-lockdown crime, but this week they have been somewhat distracted from that role by the outrageous actions of an entitled MP.  Dawn Butler continues to milk what was a fairly innocuous incident, writing in The Guardian on Tuesday and doing the rounds on every media channel that will have her.  The Met finally hit back on Wednesday as the Deputy Commissioner released a statement expressing support for the officers involved in the Butler stop.  Sir Steve House is the Met's most senior officer, second only to Cressida Dick.

"The stop of a car in which Dawn Butler MP was travelling by Met officers on Sunday has prompted a lot of debate and it is important that the facts are fully understood. 

The officers who undertook the stop were from the Violent Crime Task Force and were in the area as part of our proactive work to protect communities from violence. 

Criminals often use vehicles to travel in and to commit crime, therefore officers will often check cars to see if there is anything that requires them to stop it and do further checks. The officers ran a number plate check on the vehicle. At this stage, the officers still didn’t know who the occupants of the car were, including their ethnicity because the car windows were tinted. 

As a result of an officer making a human error as he inputted the car registration, the Police National Computer returned details of a car from another part of the UK. 

The officers were not initially aware of this problem and as a result felt, with good reason, that they should do further checks on the car by stopping it and engaging with the occupants. I expect officers to have professional curiosity and I would have done the same. 

I have viewed all the available video material of that interaction and I have read their statements - the officers acted professionally and politely, explaining why the stop was made and, when realising there was a mistake, explaining this and continuing to answer the occupants’ questions. Ms Butler has said that she has no complaint about 'how' the stop was conducted, rather her concerns lie in why the stop was initiated and I have discussed these concerns with her. 

The officers in this case came into work on Sunday to keep Londoners safe. 

Officers expect to be scrutinised and there are existing, appropriate and proportionate processes for making complaints and for facts to be established, and on the occasions where there is fault - unlike this case - for consequences to follow. The increasingly routine trial by social media is unfair and damaging to individual officers and has the potential to undermine the role our communities need us to do to protect them and keep them safe from violence. 

I am grateful to these officers, as I am to all our officers who act professionally, humanely and in the service of the public. 

I would also like to condemn the abuse that some on social media have directed at Ms Butler. It is unwarranted and unacceptable and we are working to support her".

Dawn Butler also faced criticism from police veteran Norman Brennan yesterday.  Speaking to TalkRadio's Ian Collins, Brennan condemned Butler's actions and the 'trial by social media'.  Watch below.

As for Dawn Butler, she is still doubling down on her claim that the only reason the police stopped the vehicle was because "there were two black people" inside.  Obviously the police couldn't have known this and in any case we can clearly see from her own footage that the driver was not black in any conventional sense.  Despite this, Butler informed communist news outlet Novara Media on Tuesday that her friend "is black, he's not mixed heritage, he's black".

Only a true narcissist like Dawn would continue to dig such a hole for themselves.

MOMENTUM'S ANTI-POLICE VIDEO

Momentum have jumped on the Dawn Butler bandwagon with a video straight out of the divisive anti-police Black Lives Matter playbook.  The racially charged video is presented by Walsall activist Mish Rahman and plays on statistics for lockdown fines, interspersed with images of beach-goers and, naturally, Dominic Cummings.  Rahman scoffs at suggestions that disproportionate fines could be explained by BAME people having been more likely to break lockdown rules, but recent evidence suggests that this may well indeed be the case.  How else can it be explained that towns and cities experiencing spikes in infection rates are overwhelmingly home to large Asian communities - or to put it more accurately - Muslim communities who exist parallel to British life and operate by their own rules.  And then there are the relentless BLM demonstrations - all of which illegal under lockdown rules - but which Rahman doesn't mention once.  Watch below.

Rahman is hoping to get elected to Labour's ruling National Executive Committee later this year.  He may need a spot of luck now that the Great Leader's reign is over.  Some things haven't changed though and the mammoth election process is another four month Labour epic.  Why does it always take them so long to elect their own people?

WELSH BREXITEER MOCKS BUTLER

The Dawn Butler circus will have gone down like a lead balloon with the overwhelming majority of British people.  Even the heavily edited version of her confrontation with Met officers shows that she is an entitled snob whose uppity arrogance will resonate with barely anyone beyond middle class Remainers who have embraced the Black Lives Matter anti-police Marxist narrative.  Sir Keir Starmer has naturally endorsed Butler's concerns, as have her comrades in the Socialist Campaign Group.  The likes of Corbyn, McDonnell, Abbott, Burgon and Sultana are in that group.  Enough said.

Her humiliation of those police officers is going to backfire spectacularly in the working class communities Labour can't afford to alienate any further.  While it's true the Old Bill are not universally revered, the sight of an MP using her privilege to speak down to people of any profession is a huge misfire.  This was perhaps best exemplified by a video made by a Welsh politician on Monday night.  Richard Taylor, a former Brexit Party candidate, was on holiday in Spain when the Butler story broke.  He responded in hilarious, but cutting fashion (watch below).

Mr Taylor knows a thing or two about the police, having been convicted of dozens of offences in his youth.  Having found Christianity while serving one prison sentence, the Llanelli native turned his life around.  A lifelong Labour voter, he was converted to the Brexit Party last year and stood in the general election.  He came second in Blaenau Gwent behind the Labour candidate, slashing the Labour majority by more than 3,000 and easily saving his deposit by securing more than 20 per cent of the vote - one of the best Brexit Party results in the country.

Mr Taylor is now a member of a party committed to abolishing the Senedd - the Abolish the Welsh Assembly Party.  The party campaigns for a return to direct rule, arguing that only one in four people voted for the assembly back in 1997.  If Covid-19 teaches us anything, it's that things were definitely a lot simpler in the UK before New Labour introduced devolution!

DAWN BUTLER/SKY NEWS ANTI-POLICE SMEAR

Labour's Dawn Butler was all over the news and social media on Sunday in a co-ordinated attempt to smear the Metropolitan Police and exacerbate racial tensions.  At 12:18 Dawn tweeted that "she got stopped by the police driving through Hackney".  Despite declaring that she'd filmed the whole incident and there would be more details to follow there was no further update for almost five hours.  It was during the five o'clock news bulletin on Sky News that a heavily edited version of Butler's video was broadcast, alongside soundbites from an interview she'd conducted accusing the Met of 'racial profiling' and 'institutional racism'.  The broadcast can be seen below.

A number of things have occurred here which suggest that Sky News have collaborated with Dawn Butler to present a false narrative.  Firstly, you'll note that in Dawn's tweet she states that she got stopped while driving.  However, this is a lie.  While the steering wheel is not visible in Sky's clip, the policeman's name badge can be seen on the left hand side of his uniform.  Met officers' names are actually displayed on the right hand side of their uniforms.  The lettering is indecipherable in the clip, partially because it's back to front - in other words the video orientation has been flipped.  This mirroring effect suggests Butler was in the driving seat when she was actually the passenger.

Whether this is a result of Dawn's original mobile phone recording or if the effect was added afterwards is unclear, but tied with the false suggestion that she was the driver it doesn't look good.

What's more, another clip has since appeared that adds fuel to the fire.  In the Sky News edit Dawn speaks directly to the camera before looking across to the other seat.  As the camera begins to move toward who or what she is looking at, the video cuts to her confrontation with the officers.  This appears to be the very beginning of her recording and she is looking at the driver, who is naturally the first port of call for the officers.  The video below shows the new clip, but it has been reversed back to show the correct orientation instead of the back to front version shown on TV.  It also reveals another interesting detail concerning the racial profiling allegation Butler has made...

Although his face is obscured, it's clear that the individual in the driver's seat is not black.  The light-skinned person may be white or mixed-race, but he is not black.  This deals a further blow to Dawn's race baiting.

As for the confusion as to why the vehicle was stopped, the Met released the following statement on Sunday evening:

At approximately midday on Sunday, 9 August, police stopped a vehicle in Hackney.

Prior to stopping the vehicle, an officer incorrectly entered the registration into a police computer which identified the car as registered to an address in Yorkshire.

Upon stopping the vehicle and speaking with the driver, it quickly became apparent that the registration had been entered incorrectly and was registered to the driver in London.

Once the mistake was realised the officer sought to explain this to the occupants; they were then allowed on their way. 

No searches were carried out on any individuals.

One of the occupants has since been contacted by a senior officer and they have discussed the stop, subsequent interaction as well as feedback regarding the stop.

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this matter further with the occupants if they wish to do so.

Could it be that it was just an honest mistake?  Butler clearly wasn't interested in the explanation and has instead sought to whip up racial tension and smear the Met at a time when race relations have been driven to their lowest ebb in decades.  It should come as no surprise to anyone that Sky News have happily co-operated with Butler in order to drive this latest piece of anti-police propaganda.  The mainstream media has done nothing but encourage the divisive agenda of Black Lives Matter throughout the summer.

It's worth noting that while Sky News, Channel 4 and others choose to broadcast Dawn Butler's racially divisive fake narrative, there were two murders in London over the weekend and over a dozen stabbings.  Yet instead of life and death situations, viewers are faced with Dawn Butler's sour faced narcissistic race baiting nonsense.
