MEME MONDAY #78

A quiet week by Karl's standards, but then he does have a day job.  Starmer's ban on Kanye West is a double feature, a tyrannical act which led to the cancellation of an entire music festival and the loss of income for over two thousand Brits.  The man hours otherwise generated by the Wireless Festival is equivalent to 52 full time jobs, that's in addition to the economic impact of thousands of fans and tourists flocking to the area, but which is now lost income for swathes of hostelries, stall-holders and local businesses.  Organisers have yet to confirm if the festival will even return next year.

All in the name of barring someone who may potentially say something that the regime doesn't endorse.  So much for free speech, well done Keir!

WOKE WEDNESDAYS #27

The globalist capture of Tinseltown and the entertainment industry is well known, but the regime became ever more brutal following the simultaneous rise of both Trump and cancel culture.  Actors and musicians who dared to speak out in favour of the Donald could expect to see their careers go down the pan faster than last night's vindaloo.  Even rumours of a Republican leaning are enough to cause a stir, as Jurassic World star Chris Pratt discovered when he refused to fall in line with the orthodoxy and back Kamala Harris.  Even though he did not endorse Trump, either, he faced a leftist backlash regardless.

According to Wikipedia, less than 90 actors and musicians publicly endorsed Donald Trump prior to last year's presidential election.  The same site names over 700 actors and musicians who endorsed Kamala Harris.  One of them was sombre Gen Z singer Billie Eilish.

Following Trump's landslide victory she lashed out publicly during a concert, accusing the president elect of being a misogynist who 'hates women so, so deeply'.  As with much of the bizarre rhetoric perpetuated about Trump, her rant was as dumb as it sounded, even before considering the fact that not every single concert goer necessarily aligns with her values and they certainly did not pay an extortionate sum to hear political commentary.  Sing some songs!

Eilish had earlier declared on Instagram that Trump's victory was a 'war on women'.  Much of her logic is built on the leftist narrative around abortion rights, which demands that unborn babies have no rights to life if the prospective mother decrees it - for whatever reason.  It's hardly a bullet proof feminist argument, given that around half of all babies are female and therefore plenty of women's lives are being snuffed out before they are even born.

Then there is the accusation against Trump himself.  He has undoubtedly made derogatory comments towards women in the past, but as a man approaching his late 70s he was raised in a whole different world to the Clown World of Gen Z singers.  And yet Trump was nothing but gracious and delicate when it came to meeting his beloved Queen Elizabeth II or then PM Theresa May.  Does a man who 'hates women so deeply' also spend decades married to the same woman - his third wife no less - and permit that woman to become a highly visible and influential First Lady?  This supposed rabid misogynist also spent more than a decade married to Ivana, with whom he conceived his first daughter who later went on to become a prominent member of his first administration.

Then there is his current administration, which is packed full of girl bosses.  Some of his female appointees hold very senior cabinet members such as Pam Bondi, Kristi Noem, Brooke Rollins and Linda McMahon.  Others are household names such as the former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and the ferocious White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

A rank woman-hating misogynist Trump isn't.  A crazed out of touch leftist on the wrong side of history young Bille Eilish is.

WOKE WEDNESDAY #4 - UPDATE

Last October we discussed the case of a 17-year-old female footballer who had been charged with 'misconduct' after she took exception to facing a bearded male opponent.  Following an FA hearing, she was banned for two matches, with a further four match ban suspended for one year.  She was also ordered to complete an online DEI course.

The case drew protests from women's rights campaigners and was raised in the House of Lords by Lord Triesman.  An appeal hearing in February initially quashed the original verdict and ordered a new hearing.  The case was then dropped altogether, but only after the complainant withdrew from the process.

Now the young footballer has gone public, doing a round of media interviews and demanding an apology from the Football Association.  Cerys Vaughan, now 18, says she has no sympathy for biological males who want to compete in female sports.  An interview with this principled young woman can be found on the BBC here.

Following the Supreme Court ruling on biological sex, the FA banned so-called trans 'women' from the female game earlier this month.  Now give Cerys her apology!

MENSTRUAL CRAMPS, ANYONE?

Jeremy Corbyn pictured with The Menstrual Cramps

As with many political leaders, when Jeremy Corbyn stood down as Labour leader in 2019 he searched for a new project to sink his teeth into and, dare we say it, further his multi-millionaire wealth?  A new venture was made all the more pressing when the resulting leadership campaign was not successful for his anointed successor Rebecca Long-Bailey.  The victor wasted no time in sidelining the Socialist Campaign Group and Corbyn soon found himself outside of the party for the first time.

While Starmer's attempt to eradicate Corbyn for good came to nothing - the Islington MP was re-elected last year as an independent - the Westminster gravy train can never provide enough wealth once its passengers are on it, regardless of their 'socialist' values.

So it came to pass that Corbyn founded The Peace & Justice Project, a reasonable endeavour judging by its name.  Sadly, the organisation is just more of the same anti-white, open borders, climate lunacy, Palestine-obsessed and progressive social justice (for minorities only) that one comes to associates with the modern left.

Among the events organised by Corbyn's project is 'Music for the Many', which gathers various fringe far left misfits together for what must be a very painful gig for anyone who appreciates music.  One of the recent headliners were The Menstrual Cramps.  Yes, seriously, that is a genuine band name.  The Menstruals (or shall we call them the Cramps?) stylise their name with an anarchist symbol, which represents a political movement that can be hard to fathom for those on the libertarian right.  We are talking about an ideology that seeks to unite anti-government libertarianism with socialism, which primarily relies on the state to enforce its will!

If we look into some of the songs penned by this band, which describes itself as 'queer punk from Bristol', the titles suggest something far from the 'kinder, gentler politics' once famously espoused by Corbyn and anything but libertarian values.  Surely there can be little ambiguity in the songs "Tory Scum", "Cull the Tories" and "We Hate You, Please Die".  Lovely!

Other titles from these degenerates include "Class War", "Abortion", "My Bush Ain't Ur Business",  "Mutual Masturbation", "Frack Off" and "JC Our Saviour".  Of course the last one is not referring to the JC most of us are familiar with as 'our saviour'.

We're not convinced that the one on the far right has ever suffered a menstrual cramp, just saying...

BURNHAM'S CRINGE MOMENT

Andy Burnham with singer-songwriter James Holt

The Mayor of Greater Manchester is a legend in his own mind.  The bookies' favourite to succeed Keir Starmer is probably the only person who could watch his musical performance earlier this week and think that it was anything other than toe-curling.  On Monday Burnham was at the launch of the Greater Manchester Music Commission, a scheme to support the region's music scene.  Burnham said: "Greater Manchester is a global capital of music, but we must always be wary of trading on past glories and resting on our musical laurels".  Music lovers in Austin, Nashville, Vienna and closer to home - in Liverpool - may dispute that assertion.

At the end of his speech Burnham picked up a guitar and strummed aimlessly while asking the audience for song suggestions.  In the end the actual musician stood next to him suggested the Oasis hit 'Wonderwall'.  After trying briefly to play the riff he handed the guitar to the professional and said: "I'll sing if you play".  Panic then set in as he realised he didn't know the lyrics and searched for them on his phone.  In the end, he still got it wrong.

A longer version of the above clip can be found at the Manchester Evening News.  One reader commenting on the article wrote: "He needs a wonderwall built around him, so he can't do any more damage".

One other thing to note about Burnham's latest ego-driven appearance was the complete lack of Covid measures in place.  You may recall that Burnham was one of those Labour politicians who hit out at the removal restrictions last month, face masks in particular.  Was he wearing a mask at this indoor event?  Rules for thee, but not for Andy.

ANOTHER PRICK IN THE WALL

Pink Floyd's Roger Waters has hit out at globalist tech tyrant Mark Zuckerberg in a foul-mouthed rant over Facebook's request to use one of his most famous songs in a promo video for Instagram.  Speaking at an event in support of Julian Assange, Waters read from a letter he'd received asking permission to use Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2).  Waters told the assembled audience: "The answer is 'fuck you', no fucking way.  I only mentioned that because this is the insidious movement of them to take over absolutely everything".

Waters is a curious case and a bag of contradictions.  While he is an avowed leftist who despises Israel and routinely lashes out at 'fascists' and 'racists' on the right, he also backs causes that are not normally associated with the left.  While many on the left despise our military and all who serve, Waters allocates a portion of tickets to his shows for veterans.  He also upset his fellow leftists during the 2000s when he showed up at several events in support of the Countryside Alliance and spoke out against Blair's 2004 Hunting Act.  He has even performed live with prominent right-winger Eric Clapton.

Perhaps his biggest contradiction came in 2016, when he voiced his opposition to Brexit - despite his opposition to globalisation and the fact that many on the left had backed Leave, including all the minor socialist parties in the UK (with the sole exception of the Scottish Socialist Party).

In his slurry four minute rant, Waters describes Zuckerberg as 'one of the most powerful idiots in the world'.  There is some bitterness there, from a man who has undoubted talent in the field of music and worked the pubs and clubs on his rise to stardom at a time in which computers were the size of a shed.  Given Waters' endless criticism of Israel, there may well be a degree of anti-Semitism at play too.  Mindless name-calling asides, his assessment of Zuckerberg and his empire is not far off the mark, except perhaps on the right we would prefer to call him a dangerous idiot.  Dangerous, because he uses the vast power at his disposal to promote radical far left agendas across the West, some of which would undoubtedly meet with the approval of Waters himself.

The likes of Zuckerberg, Dorsey and Bezos believe they can deliver communism for the masses, while they enjoy the fruits of the capitalism they used to achieve it.  Perhaps they can control the beast - through the tools of their technological revolution - but history teaches us that leftist revolutions are rarely bloodless and rarely grateful, especially to the bourgeoisie.

While we share a common enemy, make no mistake that people like Roger Waters, Piers Corbyn and George Galloway share far more in common with these billionaire elites than we do.  The enemy of our enemy is not necessarily our friend.

BRAVO IAN BROWN

The concept of a domestic vaccine passport is something so alien to a free democratic society that most of us look on in horror as our so-called 'conservative' government considers imposing them on us.  There are no libertarian voices in the mainstream media to air the grievances and concerns of millions about this disturbing plan.  The narrative is, as it always has been, total subservience to Covid totalitarianism.

Thankfully, opposition occasionally creeps in the periphery.  The BBC reluctantly reported on the hundreds of thousands who signed a petition forcing Parliament to debate the issue and last week a very noble stance was taken by the rock singer Ian Brown.

The former Stone Roses frontman was good on his word from a previous tweet.

Bravo Ian Brown.  Thank you.

SKINNER SONG FAILS TO CHART

The British hard left don't win many victories, so any whiff of potential success is pounced on.  In the last week they've been campaigning to get a truly dreadful song to the top of the charts.  The song is about former Labour MP Dennis Skinner and it's been promoted by Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell and all their Marxist friends (see promo video below).

One of the contributors to the above video is a Labour councillor from Doncaster.  Tosh McDonald has a lovely Soviet flag on display in the background, once more undermining those leftists who try to draw a distinct line between communism and socialism.

As for the woeful Skinner tune, it was a bitter-sweet result.  Robb Johnson's song was Amazon's most downloaded track, but it failed to make the singles chart - not even making the top 100.  The BBC were clearly chuffed with the Amazon success and their article was widely shared on social media by left-wingers on whom the irony was clearly lost.  The capitalist scum at Amazon, really?  Would the Bastard of Bolsover be proud of that?  Probably.  This is a guy who was prepared to cling to his seat until he popped his clogs, becoming the Father of the House in the process.

Sadly for Skinner he will neither die an MP or become Father of the House.  Ironically it was his party's lurch to the hard left that put paid to that.  His colleagues have still managed to find a place for him despite the loss of his seat.  The 88-year-old was made president of Labour's Socialist Campaign Group earlier this year.

The full Skinner song and music video can be seen below, if you have a strong stomach...

LEFTISTS PILE ON ROD

Corbynistas were cock-a-hoop about the celebrity endorsements rolling in over the course of the campaign.  Not many came out for Boris it has to be said, a fact that the balloon heads following Corbyn couldn't help but keep reminding their Twitter followers about.  But what happens when a celeb endorses the Conservatives or merely criticises Corbyn?  That's right, they're harassed to the moon and back by the spiteful morons of the left.  Point in case - Rod Stewart this very day.  The rock star made a throwaway remark in a tweet celebrating his latest number one album.  In between references to fellow musicians Robbie Williams and Pete Townshend, he had the audacity to congratulate Boris Johnson.

Cue the hate.

Of course there's always two sides...

CLASS WAR HYPOCRISY IS A BLUR

Whenever a celeb voices an opinion about the Great Leader his Twitter warriors go into overdrive.  If it's an endorsement then of course the trending hashtag is full of gushing tributes no matter the level of talent or hypocrisy.  If the individual comes out against Corbyn then naturally they are scum and are vilified in every conceivable spiteful way.  Corbyn's public mantra of 'kinder, gentler politics' has never really filtered down to his supporters.

On Friday night the name #AlexJames began trending.  James was the bass player in one of Britain's most successful 90s bands, Blur.  They couldn't attack him for any perceived lack of talent, so they launched class war vitriol.  Following Blur's split, James made his name as a cheese connoisseur and has his own supermarket brand.  His rural lifestyle is anathema to the metropolitan elite from which Corbyn draws his fan base.  "Posh boy", "Tory cheese man" and "cheese nonce" were just some of the insults amid a sea of Twitter hate.  Funny, but the same people throwing the muck probably have nothing but adoration for the other middle-class members of Blur.

Singer Damon Albarn had a Glastonbury meltdown following the EU referendum and has consistently moaned about Brexit ever since.  Guitarist Graham Coxon makes no secret of his love of Labour on his Twitter account, while drummer Dave Rowntree is an actual Labour councillor in Norfolk.  They've clearly made the right choices according to the mob, but the truth is that for Corbyn's devotees it's actually perfectly ok to make cheese on an Oxfordshire farm as long as you share their love for the Great Leader.  Hypocrisy is rife in the metropolitan London elite of Corbyn's Labour.

CROWE DISSES CORBYN

A Devon rapper has released an epic take down of Jeremy Corbyn.  Exeter-based Charlie Rowe, aka 'Crowe', appears in a very funny promo video that accompanies the track.  Entitled "Rhyme Minister (Corbyn Diss Track)", the video was filmed on location in London and if these photos are anything to go by it looks like they had a hoot.

As you can see the video portrays three of the party leaders, but while Boris and Nigel are waving the Union flag, Jeremy is draped in the EU flag.  The track opens with a Nigel Farage sample (!), while the lyrics attack all things Corbyn, primarily the way in which Labour would crash our economy.  Watch the hilarious music video below.

Crowe has told us that more projects are in the pipeline and will appear on his new YouTube channel - Crowe TV - where he will rap about relevant news topics, aided by team members Alastair Chambers and Andre Walker.  You can also follow his antics on Facebook and the tune itself is available via Spotify and iTunes to follow.

Crowe has kindly sent us his lyrics and they are reproduced in full below.

PRO-BREXIT SONG IS AMAZON BEST SELLER

Dominic Frisby's awesome Brexit song is currently outselling the likes of George Ezra, Pink, Dido and Jack Savoretti on Amazon!  There's still no sign of it in the music charts, although curiously it's listed as an "album" on Amazon, so perhaps this isn't helping to push it into the singles chart.  It would be great to see it chart on Sunday, the final chart before we are due to Leave...

You can see the music video below.

You can purchase the song via iTunes here and Amazon here.  It's less than a pound!
