MARCH TO LEAVE: DAY SIX

The March to Leave crossed into South Yorkshire today, ending up in Leave-voting Doncaster.  This time tomorrow they will have reached the East Midlands.  It does appear as if the march is building a bit of momentum going into the weekend and Remainer MP Anna Soubry will surely have helped to boost numbers by mocking the march in a TV bust-up with Nigel Farage today.

Tomorrow:  Wadworth to Worksop

MARCH TO LEAVE: DAY FIVE

Yvette Cooper's constituency office

A nice touch from the marchers today as they arrived in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.  This is the seat of one of the most cynical remoaners in Parliament - Yvette Cooper.  Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford returned one of the strongest Leave votes in the country - 69% - but that didn't stop the odious Cooper from trying to sabotage Brexit at every turn!  Good work March to Leave!!

Tomorrow:  Pontefract to... Doncaster?  The original route, as planned, is pictured below.  However, the route has now disappeared from the March to Leave website, so either major shortcuts are planned or they are just trying to throw off the remoaners...

MARCH TO LEAVE: DAY FOUR

The intrepid marchers were supposed to cross into West Yorkshire today, their target the small town of Wetherby.  For some unknown reason they stopped eight miles short at Knaresborough.  Presumably they were bussed the rest of the way (cheating again!)  Still no sign of Farage, perhaps he will turn up on Saturday in Mansfield to rally the troops?  If today is anything to go by, they may be tiring.

Tomorrow:  Wetherby to Pontefract

MARCH TO LEAVE: DAY THREE

The March to Leave continued to trudge across North Yorkshire today as the clock ticks down and Speaker Bercow threw a spanner in the works (again).  The march was today joined by Taz, putting 17.4 million to shame by flying all the way in from Thailand to participate!  See what he had to say below...

Tomorrow: Aldfield to Wetherby

The next leg of the march is the first to skip a section, in other words the March to Leave is cheating.  For whatever reason the organisers have arranged to bus participants along some parts of the route and tomorrow they will miss out a whopping 30 miles.  They'll still be in North Yorkshire at the off, but they'll end up in West Yorkshire.

MARCH TO LEAVE: DAY TWO

The March to Leave crossed into North Yorkshire today and ended south of Middlesbrough.  The turnout was down slightly and there was no Farage, but he's expected to return at some point along the journey.  The Guardian reports that the marchers received a warm welcome as they passed through Leave-voting Middlesbrough.

The Remain group 'Led by Donkeys' continued to goad the marchers, but today they were deterred by a police presence and their tactics constrained to mobile billboards.  A small protest did greet the marchers as they arrived at their overnight stop, but it's not likely to deter many.

Tomorrow:  Middlesbrough to Swainby

MARCH TO LEAVE: DAY ONE

Several hundred Brexiteers braved high winds and rain near Sunderland this morning to embark on their mammoth 270 mile march to Westminster.  Nigel Farage and Kate Hoey were among the high profile politicians taking part.  A small number of remoaners turned up also, letting off blue and yellow flares and generally haranguing the Brexiteers.  Things could turn nasty along the way, but day one passed off relatively peacefully.

Tomorrow:  Hartlepool to Middlesbrough

MOST SHARED: WEEK 202

Last week came two huge betrayals of the Brexit vote, one day after the other and involving both the traitors above.  Hopes of leaving the EU at the end of this month are now just as distant as they've ever been.  By giving MPs a vote on blocking no deal and extending Article 50 Theresa May has killed Brexit.  If, by some miracle, her deal is voted through we will still be tied in to the EU.  However, why on earth would any of the mostly pro-Remain MPs vote for her deal when she has already announced they can later vote on an extension?

Shared 14,440 times via our Facebook page, there will be more to follow in the weeks ahead.  We will be promoting the March to Leave also.
