MASON VERSUS THE LEFT

Hard left journalist turned activist Paul Mason has thrown the Catholic among the pigeons by condemning Rebecca Long-Bailey's views on abortion.  Many on the left had been keen to overlook her Catholic sympathies and she herself had distanced herself from previous remarks adding that politics comes before faith.  However, hothead Mason couldn't let it go.

Long-Bailey has since committed herself to the open letter signed by Mason, but the row was already unleashed and Mason was vilified by many who would have previously been comrades.  Our Twitter account was blocked by Mason a long time ago, but now he's begun blocking those from his own side, including Aaron 'Boring' Bastani.

Labour's new leader won't be announced until April 4, so we have almost two and a half months of fun and games like this as Labour tears itself apart.  Glorious!

RAMBLING OWEN AND THE REMAIN RABBLE

It was no great surprise to see Little Owen and others hijacking the Remain protest yesterday.  The wee lad is not known as a hardcore Remainer and has argued in favour of Brexit intermittently, depending on which way the wind is blowing.  Diane Abbott also addressed the event, but likewise she isn't a strong Remainer either.  John McDonnell was there also, just in case his dream of a revolution was about to be realised, as was commie journalist Paul Mason (pictured above left).  It was clear that the Labour left were there purely to seize on Remain anger and exploit it for their own ends.  Little Owen was breathless with excitement as he addressed his own phone...

What 'politics of hatred'?  Only in your own head sunshine!  This constant demonisation of Boris and the Tories as 'fascists', 'hard right' etc, is a huge vote loser and only serves to show the electorate who the real extremists are.  Boris Johnson is not Adolf Hitler just because he is to the right of Jeremy Corbyn.  It's an absurd argument and the general public can see through it.

Strangely, as with the Church House meeting earlier this week, Corbyn was nowhere to be seen at yesterday's protest...

DEWBERRY VS MASON

Following on from last week's bruising encounter between Corbynista author Will Self and Tory MP Mark Francois, Politics Live put on another ding dong battle today.  Pitting entrepreneur Michelle Dewberry against the far left Labour activist and journalist Paul Mason this was even more epic in scale.

Michelle stood as an independent in her hometown of Hull back in 2017 and invoked the wrath of Momentum trolls in doing so.  Rather than condemn their actions and move on, Mason takes on a typically hard left defensive posture and demands 'evidence'.  The ensuing battle lasted the remainder of the programme and led to an off-air exchange between the pair that Michelle was very unhappy about...

Michelle has since tweeted to further expand on the off-air exchange...
