WOKE WEDNESDAYS #34

The Daily Mail is often cited as an example of the 'right wing press' and, sure, it appeals eminently more to a conservative readership than woke liberals and socialists, but in recent years it has not shied away from pushing certain hard left agendas.  In the neverending tabloid quest for outlandish headlines and clickbait, earlier this year the Mail published a story that ties in directly to the Marxist assault on womanhood through trans ideology.

We have written about this insidious agenda all too often in this column, so for the benefit of newcomers we will simplify it thus - the ultimate aim is to achieve communist utopia by undermining the immutable characteristics that make us who and what we are, including the abject denial of the scientific reality of binary sex, supposedly rendering every human being a mindless automaton free of invidualism and identity.  It is a pipe dream that cannot ever work, even with all the force and coercion of the state behind it.

The trans agenda is an extension of the assault on Christianity and family values that dates back decades.

Back in March the Mail announced that a British 'man' had 'conceived a baby naturally'.  However, the 'man' is in fact a woman who claims to be a male called 'Malachi', but she has no legal recognition to support her claim and is even listed as the unfortunate child's mother on the birth certificate.  She conceived the baby naturally, because she is a woman with female reproductive organs.

A man cannot give birth.

One has to ask why the Daily Mail is promoting such nonsense and how on earth it can expect to retain a conservative readership while doing so...

DARE WE SAY IT? ALI WAS RIGHT! PROBABLY...

Next week's big Westminster by-election could turn out to be a damp squib thanks to Labour.  They were favourites to hold Rochdale, but that was before they disowned their candidate.  On paper, voters have a Labour candidate named Azhar Ali, but it's a wasted vote as he won't represent Labour if elected.  It's a laughable situation and the bookies have since installed George Galloway as the new favourite.  Galloway is standing for his hard left Workers Party of Britain, with the politics of the Middle East at the forefront of the campaign - such is the depth to which Britain has sunk into the multi-cultural abyss.

Meanwhile, Azhar Ali's Labour career is destined to remain in the local politics of the quasi-Islamist towns of south Lancashire and Greater Manchester.  His election would merely give him an independent seat in the Commons for the remainder of this year at best, or just a matter of months depending on which date Sunak goes to the polls.

Ali's career floundered upon a media exposé of his supposedly 'anti-Semitic' views.  Starmer acted to suspend him after a couple of remarks leaked, ostensibly a reference to 'Jewish quarters' in the media and a boast of having persuaded several Lancastrian towns not to parade the colours of the Israeli flag in the wake of the Hamas attacks.  However, he was not suspended for the initial Daily Mail exposé in which he voiced his firm belief that Israel allowed the Hamas attacks to proceed unhindered, thus giving them the justification to attack, invade, occupy and potentially even annexe Gaza.

This 'conspiracy theory' sparked 'outrage' claimed the Mail.  How on earth could a state allow the massacre of its own citizens to justify a war?  Of course, this faux outrage takes place in the established world where us mugs are supposed to believe that the Americans did not do exactly the same thing in September 2001 and used those attacks to justify carnage across the Middle East that continues to this day.

Now bear in mind that the mainstream media is constantly involved in psychological warfare against its own consumers, lurching from one scare story to the next, often creating contradictions in the process.  Lo and behold, it was none other than the Daily Mail itself that was among many news outlets that alleged that Israel deliberately downplayed prior warnings of the Hamas attacks.  The following headline appeared online in November.

The Mail report is based on an actual news story from Israel itself, and so it is remarkably shortsighted that in the space of three months such a significant revelation has become a tinfoil-hatted conspiracy while still - at the time of writing - freely available on the Mail website.

The mass media are so invested in the arrogant belief that its consumers are so stupid they won't ask questions.  Question everything they tell you, because what they tell you is almost certainly not in your own interest.

DAN HODGES REIGNITES FEUD

Mail on Sunday columnist Dan Hodges has again lashed out at toxic culture in the Labour Party and the left in general.  Hodges was speaking to Mike Graham of TalkRadio, following on from his article last Sunday that called for an end to Labour's 'visceral hatred of the Tories'.  That article sparked outrage on the left, many of whom responded by pointing to a column Hodges wrote in 2016 which featured a graphic of Jeremy Corbyn and the headline: 'Labour MUST kill vampire Corbyn'.

The Mail has now retroactively edited the article online so that it now reads: 'Labour MUST dump vampire Jezza'.  Sneaky!

One of those bemoaning Hodges' past rhetoric was Corbyn's son Tommy, who tweeted Hodges' original headline and linked it with the Finsbury Park van attack of 2017, saying that his father wouldn't be alive if the attacker had been successful.  "Dan Hodges has some nerve lecturing the left on hate speech" Corbyn added.

There is no clearly no love lost between Hodges and the far left.  Hodges is the son of former Labour MP Glenda Jackson and was himself a party member until 2013 when he resigned in protest at Ed Miliband's stance on British military intervention in Syria.  Miliband had opposed such a move, quite rightly (and astutely, given Labour's recent history of military interventions).  Hodges rejoined the party briefly in 2015 in order to back Yvette Cooper for the leadership and block Corbyn.  Having failed in that aim, Hodges later resigned a second time.

In his TalkRadio appearance Hodges repeated his condemnation of Corbyn's call for solidarity with Claudia Webbe - three weeks before Webbe was convicted of harassment.  Corbyn had asked audience members at a fringe meeting at the Labour conference: "Can we just have a thought tonight in absolute solidarity with our great friend Claudia Webbe for what she’s going through?"

Hodges also called out Angela Rayner's 'scum' remarks, suggesting that it would be absurd if a member of the opposite benches walked around their own party conference referring to Labour MPs in such a way.  He pointed out another discrepancy between the two parties, in that Labour delegates are not advised to remove their badges upon leaving the venue - unlike Tories.  Indeed, there were no reports of Labour delegates being abused in the street during their conference and certainly no massed hordes of protesters or offensive banners.  Hodges certainly has a point.

THE MASK SLIPS

Matt Hancock's department attempted to smear the Daily Mail on Sunday after it printed an article critical of the government's Covid strategy.  In a sinister move the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) responded to the Daily Mail on Twitter by labelling its article 'misleading'.  The tweet didn't explain why the article was wrong and, tellingly, it was later deleted.

The Daily Mail article used a number of publicly available sources such as the Office for National Statistics and Public Health England.  It was heavily fact-based and exposed how there is simply no case for the current lockdown in England and ongoing restrictions elsewhere.  Put simply, the public have been hoodwinked by overblown estimates, misinformation and outright scaremongering.

The intervention by the DHSC on Twitter provoked a furious response prior to its deletion, with ten times more engagement than the Daily Mail article itself.  Many questioned why the DHSC response didn't specify exactly why the article was 'misleading', including prominent lockdown sceptics such as TalkRadio's Mike Graham.

The decision by the DHSC to delete their tweet was lauded as further proof of the government's deception.  The Daily Mail article did, after all, use their own figures against them.  They simply could not defend their position.

The UK government's decision to initiate further lockdowns without legitimate cause is a catastrophic error that will lead to ugly scenes in the months to come.  'Freedom passes' and 'mandatory vaccines' are not ideas that should ever be associated with a 'conservative' government, but this is the dystopian reality we are potentially about to enter.

The only hope for salvation is with the Conservatives themselves.  While the growing backbench rebellion is still far from overwhelming, it can yet overturn the numbers in Parliament.  There are now thought to be more than 70 MPs willing to vote against further restrictions, more than double the 32 who defied Tory whips on the second England lockdown.  Pressure is also growing on Labour MPs, most of whom represent big urban conurbations where dissent is strongest, albeit they are less likely to rebel given it is in their party's interest to continue to wreck the economy and destroy lives.

Time to wake up, Boris, and return to your libertarian roots.  The alternative is grim.

SILENCED BY FACEBOOK

Facebook has taken a brand new step in censoring our page today.  Just before noon the Dublin mafia decided to censor our posts for ONE WEEK!  We can still use the page, but none of our posts will appear in anyone's news feed - rendering it useless.  This is the message we currently see at the top of our page.

This is a damaging blow to our campaign as it comes on the eve of potentially one of the most crucial political moments in our history.  As always, we've reverted to the backup page, but unfortunately we can only reach a tiny fraction of the 90,000 people who follow the main page.  If you are a Facebook follower please be sure to follow us here or click on the image below.

We've lodged an appeal against the decision, but won't hold our breath.  They never responded to our last two appeals.

So why have they taken this latest course of action?  As per usual they have not told us which policy or policies have been violated nor which post or posts are 'guilty'.  However, if we look at what was posted this morning it becomes clearer.  Last Saturday Facebook removed a link we posted, a fairly innocuous story from the Daily Mail about Jess Phillips.  Facebook identified this link as 'spam'.  This morning we shared another story from the Daily Mail, a very relevant story about Jeremy Corbyn having rejected the revised Brexit deal before he had even read it.  Three hours later we were silenced.  It's surely no coincidence.  We strongly suspect that had these links been from a left-wing site such as the Guardian there would not be an issue.

There is no doubt that we have been increasingly targeted by Facebook over the last twelve months.  See below for a catalogue of incidents during this period.

October 2019 - Daily Mail article removed
October 2018 - grooming gangs post taken down

We will be taking some measures over the weekend to try and make the best of a bad situation, but by and large we're going to take a big hit over the next week.  If you appreciate what we've done so far and really want to help, please consider a small donation.  We can't do this without you.

NO, WE ARE NOT SPAMMERS

Our Facebook 'friends' in Dublin threw another censorship curve ball our way on Saturday night.  While the moderators have chastised us for memes on numerous occasions, for the first time ever they took down a link we shared.  You'd be forgiven for thinking it must have been something very dodgy indeed.  In actual fact it was merely a Daily Mail article regarding Jess Phillips potentially running for the Labour leadership.  Fairly innocuous, but it was bizarrely identified as 'spam'.  See below for the messages that greeted us on Saturday night (click to enlarge).

Firstly, there was nothing "misleading" or "inaccurate" about the post.  In fact there was no accompanying message and it was entirely up to the user what they did with it.  We are not the Daily Mail nor do we have anything to gain financially from people visiting their site.  We know that tech companies do not like the Daily Mail because it is not reporting from a left-wing perspective.  Try getting a Daily Mail article to pop up when you search for news items in Google, it won't happen unless you specifically type in 'Daily Mail'.  You'll get the Guardian though no problem.

On average we post 3-4 times a day on Facebook, we don't bombard people and we are clearly not spammers.  We requested a review of this case, but two days on nothing has come back and the post remains deleted.  Of course this all follows a pattern of Facebook censorship and bias (see below).

It has also come to our attention that their algorithm has taken a dim view to our own website.  For example if we share a BBC link it reaches thousands of people.  If we share a link to our own site it generally reaches dozens.  The only surefire way to keep in touch is to visit the site directly on a regular basis.  Don't rely on Facebook to keep you posted.

MAIL DECLARES WAR ON CORBYN

The Mail on Sunday has got itself an exclusive look at a new book about Corbyn and the rag has gone into overdrive to splash the contents.  A Dangerous Hero: Corbyn's Ruthless Plot For Power has been written by investigative journalist Tom Bower, and is being serialised in the Mail from today.  Articles began appearing yesterday and became a torrent by the end of the day on Mail Online.  They are even running a TV ad.

Just some of the articles currently being run by Mail Online as follows...
