COUNCIL BY-ELECTIONS 19.06.25

Six council by-elections were held on Thursday, with action from the northern reaches of Britain to the very south.  Seven seats were up for grabs, with a double header in the Highlands.  Although Labour's vote share was down in all of the seats it contested, the figures were not as dramatic as they have been for the previous six months.  Only in Sefton was their vote share reduced by double figures, with a large swing to both the Greens and Reform.

Reform UK continue to impress, including a gain in Yorkshire.
