WOKE WEDNESDAYS #30

It's Alphabet Month, as if you didn't know already.  June is now the month that big brands temporarily change their logos to incorporate rainbow colours or, worse still, the 'progressive' Pride flag.  It is now the month that schools, councils, universities, police forces, rail companies and politicians fall over each other to embrace this insidious agenda.

This is not to say there is anything wrong with gays expressing who they are, but to dedicate an entire month when there are much more important events that barely garner a 24 hour celebration?  It's just way over the top and has become more and more intrusive to the point that it feels like indoctrination.  Gays got their 'marriage' rights and they are subject to equality laws, while their lifestyle is now propagated through mass media and entertainment every single month of the year.  Do they really need a special month?

Of course, it is no longer simply about homosexuals and bisexuals - the L, G and B are the original Alphabet People.  'Pride Month' has morphed into something altogether more sinister in recent years, with the addition of more letters and the sight of drag queens and creepy men on all fours in puppy masks cavorting in front of young children.  Why the need to involve children?  If similar behaviours were exhibited by heterosexuals, it would be called grooming, paedophilia or child sexual exploitation.  There is no simply no place for drag queens in nurseries and classrooms.

This debauchery is equally horrific to many gay and lesbian people, those who hold on to some conservative values and who believe in preserving sex-based rights.  It is also frowned upon to be conflated with and lumped in with the insurgent Alphabet People, who many feel have been added without consent or approval.  The addition of the 'T' is still rejected by some activist groups, while the inclusion of Q, I, A and more has led to mockery and confusion.  The word 'queer' used to be a derogatory term for homosexuals, but now has its own separate identity, and for 'intersex' you may require some kind of cultural Marxist degree to decipher what it actually is.  Meanwhile, the inclusion of asexual people seems to cast the net to absurd lengths.  Since when did people who aren't interested in sex full stop become a distinct group that required accreditation?  And did anyone ask them if they wanted to be assigned to a much larger community that is populated by people who are interested in sex?

Therein lies the problem with the argument put forward by the so-called 'progressives'.  Pride is no longer a celebration of people who have been historically oppressed and marginalised.  It has turned into a freak show of both comedic and sordid proportions.  Men have donned female attire for centuries in the performative arts, without so much as an expression of disgust - let alone 'oppression'.  'Non-binary' people, with their stupid pronouns, have only existed since Marxist academics invented the name and globalists propagated the concept through their vassal media and entertainment outlets.

What is it all to do with being gay?

Anyway, it's a gloriously sunny day for much of the UK, so take a seat and soak up the rays - or defy the rainbow and crouch on the floor like a rebel...
