COUNCIL BY-ELECTIONS 10.03.22

Just four by-elections this week and not a Labour candidate participating in any of them.  The Lib Dems easily held two seats in Hertfordshire and extended their lead over the Tories, assisted by the absence of Labour candidates this time.  In Rutland the absence of a Lib Dem candidate helped fellow Remainers the Greens take a seat from the Conservatives.  In 2019 the Lib Dems had picked up almost 25 per cent of the vote in Ryhall and Casterton.

Is this the so-called 'progressive alliance' in action or just a coincidence?

WHERE'S THE OUTCRY OVER TRUDEAU?

Trudeau and Johnson play rock, paper, scissors

Remember the thousands of screaming left-wing protesters during the UK visits of President Trump?  The huge media coverage and outraged celebrities?  The massive petition?  The parliamentary debate on banning him and the hand wringing of Labour MPs such as Chris Bryant?  The war of words with Sadiq Khan?  The daft Trump balloon?

What exactly was it that Trump had done to spark such a reaction?  He had not declared war on a foreign state.  He was not engaged in an assault on US democracy.

Compare and contrast with this week's visit to the UK by an actual North American tyrant - Justin Trudeau.  Here is a man who has terrorised his own people for two years, culminating in a despicable attack on hard working Canadians who dared to protest against his ongoing discriminatory mandates.  Thanks to his handlers at the World Economic Forum, Trudeau has transformed Canada into a neo-fascist state where ordinary citizens can have their assets frozen, jobs destroyed and even their pets seized and exterminated if they so much as voice support for anti-government protesters.  This is a disturbing situation that is ongoing and yet the entire Western world has turned a blind eye.

Instead of being shunned upon his visit, Trudeau was entertained by Boris Johnson, Keir Starmer and Her Majesty the Queen.  He was even given the opportunity to inspect our Armed Forces.

It is absolutely despicable, but in the world of Covid tyranny comes as no surprise at all.  Ironically the visit was intended to discuss further action against President Putin, a man who has been condemned the world over while there has been barely a murmur about Trudeau.

While there were no media or political outcry against Trudeau's visit - nor swathes of protesters to greet him - there was a noisy picket of Downing Street that forced the Canadian PM to use the back entrance.  The embarrassment evoked memories of Trudeau's swift exit from Ottawa as the freedom truckers rolled into town.  His temporary relocation to a 'safe house' (Klaus Schwab's bunker?) was spent plotting the downfall of those truckers using unprecedented emergency powers that he said were 'temporary'.

Those powers have since been extended, quelle surprise...

The above fridge magnets have been designed by our very own Karl and any purchase will help continue to keep BTLP rolling.  Honk honk!

TRUDEAU & STARMER'S MASK THEATRICS

When Canadian tyrant Justin Trudeau landed in Britain earlier this week he emerged from his plane wearing a black face mask.  He descended the steps and was greeted by embassy staff, all of whom were also wearing face masks.  This charade all took place outside in the open air.

On Monday evening Keir Starmer tweeted a photograph of himself meeting indoors with Trudeau earlier in the day.  Both were wearing matching black face masks (see photo below).

Trudeau also met with Queen Elizabeth on Monday, but strangely now all the mask theatre had been dropped.  While Her Majesty has just had a bout of Covid and her natural immunity is tip top, the sight of the now bare-faced Trudeau up close and personal with a 95-year-old woman was at complete odds with his previous mask antics.

The double standards did not stop there.  On Monday the Parliamentary Labour Party welcomed Paulette Hamilton to the Commons - their newest addition and already highly controversial figure.  A big photo call was arranged and dozens of MPs gathered around Hamilton, including Starmer himself.  Despite Hamilton's despicable comments unearthed by GB News last week, she was enthusiastically surrounded by frontbenchers like Rachel Reeves, Ed Miliband and Dave Lammy, in addition to a horde of backbenchers including Corbynistas such as Diane Abbott and Nadia Whittome, as well as Tory turncoat Christian Wakeford.

Were any of them wearing masks?  Two of them, but alas Starmer was not one of them.

Face masks never prevented Covid infection - a fact we were told at the start of the pandemic by the likes of Whitty, Vallance and TV shill Dr Hilary.  That advice would turn on its head when it was realised that face masks could be used as a means to maintain fear and control.  If wearing a face mask served any practical medical purpose our politicians would not pick and choose when to pop them on.

Two years on - with the virus having mutated into nothing worse than a cold - those who continue to wear them are performing nothing but a circus act.  These Covid enthusiasts spent much of 2020 and 2021 sneering at people who opted out of the scam, well now we should point and laugh at them for their theatrical idiocy.

THE BALLOT OR THE BULLET

Labour's newest MP was a highly controversial figure before they had even counted the votes in last Thursday's Birmingham by-election.  Thanks to an exposé by GB News prior to polling day the mindset of Paulette Hamilton was displayed for all see.  It didn't prevent her election, but it proved that Keir Starmer's Labour is no better than his predecessor's.

For all the leaked footage and more, click below for our latest YouTube video - dedicated to the car crash that is Paulette Hamilton.

We strongly suspect that the new member for Birmingham Erdington will provide no end of material for BTLP!

NEIL OLIVER'S MONOLOGUE 05.03.22

"War doesn't determine who is right, war only determines who is left".

In this week's monologue Neil manages to draw parallels between the Cold War, Covid tyranny and the current darkness enveloping our world.  Discussing calls for the assassination of President Putin, the Coast Guy will have enraged the warmongers when he declared: "I have my doubts about the wisdom of openly advocating such tactics".  He went on to add: "But doubts are not allowed in the black and white world of unimpeachable, unquestioned certainty".  Indeed.

BY-ELECTIONS 03.03.22

The eighth parliamentary by-election of the current Parliament took place on Thursday in Birmingham.  Triggered by the death of Mr Harriet Harman (Jack Dromey), Labour eased to victory in a seat it has held since 1945.  Although Paulette Hamilton increased Labour's share of the vote, the party did not extend its lead over the Conservatives - the Labour majority actually dropped from 3,601 in 2019 to 3,266.  However, this could be largely attributed to the fact that just 27 per cent of voters bothered to show.

Such drastically low turnout will disappoint Labour, who threw the kitchen sink at this election.  Starmer and various other senior frontbenchers all dropped in during the campaign and activists were bussed in from as far and wide as Devon and Hampshire to Yorkshire and the north east.  Labour's candidate was hit by controversy 24 hours before polling day after GB News uncovered a speech from 2015 in which she questioned the virtues of democracy over violence.  We'll post the video over the weekend.

Only the Labour and Conservative candidates saved their deposits in this two-horse race.  Former Labour MP and long-standing far left activist Dave Nellist finished third as a candidate for the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition, beating Reform UK into fourth place.  The Lib Dems finished an embarrassing sixth.

There were also eight council by-elections on Thursday, three of which were holds for the Lib Dems who also gained a seat from the Conservatives.  The Tories held the other two seats they were defending and also gained a seat via a free-for-all in East Lindsey, Lincolnshire.

Labour gained a seat in Sunderland thanks to the continuing decline in UKIP.  The outgoing councillor had won his seat for the party, but resigned from the party last year.  UKIP managed to find a candidate to defend the seat, but he finished a distant fourth.

UKIP did not contest Neroche in Somerset this time, while there were no independents for Halton Holegate.

PRIME MINISTER'S QUESTIONS 02.03.22

Watch here from noon.

STELLA'S BORING BABY SAGA

The self-obsessed member for Walthamstow shows no signs of ceasing her persistent baby parade.  Now unable to show off her surgically attached offspring on the floor of the Commons, Stella Creasy posted a selfie from the back of a car as she left Parliament in the early hours of Tuesday.

Stella managed to generate a fair amount of publicity in November when she was told she could no longer bring her baby into the Commons chamber.  She's not likely to attract too much attention with this tweet, what with the media focused solely on Ukraine, but she did manage to rile up many on Twitter.

Hartley-Brewer triggered Stella into revealing details about the mysterious father.  Apparently he is 'away with the army', something she has not previously broadcast.  In revealing this titbit Creasy bizarrely suggested Hartley-Brewer 'hates the armed forces'.

It was later revealed on Tuesday that MPs' pay will soon increase by more than two thousand pounds (while the rest of us struggle to heat our homes).  Creasy will be even wealthier, but will undoubtedly opt to strap her child to her bosom and continue this bizarre narcissistic show.

Change the record Stella.

DIANE'S EUROPEAN MUDDLE

Appearing on the Beeb's Politics Live on Tuesday, Diane Abbott got herself into a geographical muddle by mistaking the Mediterranean for the Ukrainian.  Croatian viewers could be forgiven for having experienced a moment of panic as Diane announced that one of the things Putin had got wrong was "he seemed to think his tanks could roll into Croatia".  She was quickly corrected by host Jo Coburn.

Click below for the video.

It's an easy mistake for a leftist to make, if they're an idiot.  Both countries belonged to larger communist blocs as recently as the 1990s, just not the same bloc and hundreds of miles apart!
