#DRAWSIRKEIRSTARMER

The hashtag #DrawSirKeirStarmer trended briefly on Twitter earlier this week thanks to Guardian cartoonist Martin Rowson.  His challenge was taken up by plenty of budding artists, some of which put Rowson's own shambolic pieces in The Guardian to shame...

ENFIELD 'HATE CRIME'

Enfield's council leader with Sadiq Khan

The leader of Enfield Council claims to have reported Conservative opposition councillors to the police for a 'hate crime'.  Nesil Caliskan broke the news on Twitter after she accused them of repeatedly referring to the council as a 'regime'.  The word 'regime' is an insult with 'Islamophobic overtones' she said.

Cllr Caliskan's tantrum came in response to a video from Cllr Chris Day, a Tory member who was complaining about traffic calming measures in the borough.  However, at no point during the video does Cllr Day use the word 'regime', although he does refer to the Labour council as a 'dictatorship' in his accompanying tweet.

Cllr Caliskan confirmed she had contacted police after a Lib Dem spokesman commented on her Twitter rant.  His interjection actually riled her up further, as she accused him of 'telling her how she should feel' in response to what she called 'racist discourse'.  So now the use of the word 'regime' is racially aggravated too?  Stunning.  How on earth did this fragile human being rise to the position of council leader?

Ironically, in 2019 Caliskan was found to have breached her own council's code of conduct by bullying a Labour colleague.  Therefore, we could say her latest escapade is a case of pot, kettle, black - but that would probably be a hate crime too!

SCOTS COMEDIAN SLAMS SNP

The daft notion that the all-powerful Nicola Sturgeon and her independence cause is somehow backed by a majority of Scots is a myth that has gained ground in recent years, particularly in England.  Sturgeon is repeatedly returned to power because of one crucial fact - there is no opposition.  The rise of the SNP can be laid firmly at the door of Tony Blair, devolution and decades of his party taking Scots for granted (as they did the north of England, also to their cost).  Since their fall from power, the leadership of Scottish Labour has changed almost as many times as the management of your average football team.  Each change of leadership has ended in worse election results to the extent that the Conservatives are now the official opposition, albeit with no chance of ever forming a government.  The SNP it appears, are here to stay, but that is not to say that their aims are shared by a majority of Scots.

In the 2019 general election the SNP garnered 45 per cent of the vote in Scotland.  Now that's huge, but it also means that 55 per cent did not vote for them.  Those percentages may sound familiar, because in 2014 that is exactly how the independence referendum turned out.  When given the chance to explicitly back Nicola's dream of independence - Scots rejected it by a ten per cent margin, two and a half times more than the majority for Brexit, incidentally another referendum result rejected by Sturgeon.

A petition on the UK government website aimed at preventing Sturgeon's IndyRef2 is closing on the 100,000 name threshold required for a Parliamentary debate, but despite being a UK-wide petition the heat map tells us that the overwhelming majority of signatories are from Scotland itself.  In fact, they are not just from Scotland, they are mostly from constituencies represented by none other than the SNP.  It's grim viewing for devotees of Sturgeon.

Scottish comedian Leo Kearse is a Unionist who returned to his native Glasgow recently after having lived in England for years.  His home town is now an SNP stronghold, but that didn't stop him from producing a damning exposĂ© on both the SNP and Scottish nationalism in general: "The only thing getting stronger in Scotland is heroin and drugs deaths".

BASTANI'S BORED OFF

The most boring man on the hard left has quit the Labour Party, not that many people will notice.  Aaron Bastani claims that his decision was 'nothing to do with policy or politics', despite having spent the last few months laying into Starmer's leadership.  It was merely a 'professional choice' says the co-founder of commie news outlet Novara Media.  However, the Jewish Chronicle claims that Bastani quit after being alerted to a party probe into his conduct.  In a quote attributed to him by the JC, Bastani appears to suggest that he had either already been suspended or that such action was imminent: "The idea that a journalist and member of the Labour Party would be suspended at the drop of a hat suggests deep seated problems inside the party in bringing together the kind of coalition that won Joe Biden the presidency last year".

Bastani pre-empted the newspaper report by tweeting that claims of his suspension were 'complete nonsense' and attached his resignation email to back up his side of the story.  The email had been sent 'a while back' he added.  Not saying that Aaron is technologically retarded, but he appears to have printed off his email, redacted the recipient's name in marker pen and then scanned it back into his computer before uploading to Twitter!  Surely a senior editor at Novara Media has access to image editing software, no?

Bastani is perhaps best known for lashing out at the Poppy Appeal and promoting his concept of 'fully automated luxury communism'.  His dream may not be far off becoming a reality if the Great Reset comes to fruition.  That will only happen if ordinary people continue to slumber their way into it by embracing reset propaganda such as Covid lockdowns and the 'climate change emergency' to follow.

KICK MARXISM OUT

The knee-taking nonsense prior to the Six Nations match between England and Scotland threatened to overshadow the Scots' surprise victory on Saturday.  The media outrage over players refusing to take the knee was predictable, but nothing was said about the other two matches - in which no-one took the knee.  So while 19 Scots and seven England players remained standing, the gesture was universally ignored at the Italy v France and Wales v Ireland games.

The Daily Mail even went as far as to name and shame the English and Scottish players who refused to take part.  Other news outlets announced that the players had been 'criticised' or 'slammed', but failed to provide details of who was behind the criticism.  The Herald clarified that the backlash was in actual fact a social media phenomenon, as per usual.  One of the tweets contained in its report came from a BBC reporter who pointed out that it 'would kick off a storm when compared to footballers'.

He was referring to the fact that footballers in Britain universally drop to their knees prior to matches, with just one exception - Nottingham Forest's Lyle Taylor.  Of course the BLM gesture was introduced in front of empty stadiums and this has undoubtedly given rise to its bizarre longevity.  However, as soon as a limited number of fans returned to stadia briefly in December, the knee nonsense was booed by fans at several matches.  This led to Millwall scrapping it altogether at their next match, while Cambridge United vowed to hunt down the dissident fans and either ban them or force them to undergo 'education'.  As a struggling outfit that in normal times can muster only a few thousand supporters, that's no way to treat your loyal fans.  The Cambridge chairman should also be reminded that most British people are opposed to Black Lives Matter and its racially divisive message.

Make no mistake, as soon as fans are re-introduced to sports stadiums across the country, this disgusting political gesture will swiftly disappear.  Yes, let's kick racism out, but more importantly - let's kick Marxism and politics out too!

'FORENSIC' STARMER'S HEARING LOSS

Keir Starmer returned to PMQs in person this week following his latest round of self-isolation.  Perhaps he should have stayed at home, because his excuse for appearing to lie at the despatch box would have made more sense.  After Boris pointed out that Starmer had wanted Britain to retain membership of the European Medicines Agency, the Labour leader replied it was 'complete nonsense' and he'd 'never said that, from this despatch box or anywhere else'.  That segment is set up to play below.

Unfortunately for Starmer, he had backed EMA membership - on multiple occasions  - something he was forced to admit later in humiliating fashion.  Watch below.

An additional statement from Starmer's office read: "On a number of occasions the Prime Minister has wrongly claimed that Labour wanted to join the EU’s vaccine programme.  That is inaccurate and the claim has been found to be untrue.  This afternoon during Prime Minister’s Questions, Keir misheard the Prime Minister and assumed he was making the same false accusation again".

Misheard?  This is highly irregular for a man deemed 'forensic' by so many of his supporters.

In other news Labour frontbencher Catherine West apologised earlier this week for referring to the government's decision to withdraw from the EU's vaccine programme as 'dumber and dumber'.  We all know that with Labour at the helm we would have not only have been enrolled in the EU vaccine scheme and the EMA, we would still be a member of the European Union!

ZOOM CALL OF THE YEAR?

The incredibly bad-tempered proceedings of an online parish council meeting have taken the internet by storm.  The meeting of the Handforth Parish Council Planning and Environment Committee took place on December 10, but an edited version has gone viral after being uploaded to YouTube on Thursday.

Much of the excitement appears to revolve around the presence of Jackie Weaver, a clerk who has been appointed externally by the Cheshire Association of Local Councils.  Her authority over proceedings is questioned by several councillors, initially by the chair - who has already appointed himself the clerk - who declares the meeting 'unlawful'.  After he is ejected by Weaver the vice chair begins protesting.

It's fair to say that the mute and unmute intricacies of Zoom technology are lost on some of the members, especially the vice chair who begins arguing with a colleague who is in the same room.

Short clips of the meeting have gone viral on Twitter, but the following 18 minute version provides more context.  There is nothing in the way of party politics as the councillors are all independents, but it just has to be seen...

DIANE'S NON-ESSENTIAL

When Nicola Sturgeon and her fellow fanatics were moaning about Boris Johnson's trip to Scotland, the PM received almost unanimous support from across the political spectrum - including from Keir Starmer.  After all, Starmer appears to move around freely also, having visited a vaccine centre himself last month.  But are such visits absolutely essential for all MPs, particularly backbenchers who have no ministerial or shadow ministerial commitments?  The member for Hackney North and Stoke Newington seems to think so...

Must say that Diane chose a lovely background for her picture with a boarded up window and some dodgy brickwork.  Great advert for Hackney!

ASH EXPLOITS CAPTAIN TOM

Labour activist Paul Embery has lambasted his hard left colleague Ash Sarkar over her response to the death of Captain Tom.  Paying little heed to the mood of the nation, but playing to her Brit-hating audience, Sarkar chose not to pay tribute and instead used his death to lash out at lockdown sceptics.  She also echoed the views of many leftists on Twitter by making the point that Sir Tom's death was no more worthy of merit than any of the other 100,000 victims (within 28 days of a positive test).

Embery, who has clashed with Sarkar before, is worlds away from her woke metropolitan far left position.  A working class patriot, Embery espouses the values of Blue Labour.  His recent book Despised dealt with the modern left's detachment from and disgust for the working classes and their values.  No wonder he and grammar-school educated Ash don't get on.

Embery is also a lockdown sceptic, which is no great surprise given Blue Labour's embrace of so many conservative values.  Responding to Sarkar he pointed out that lockdown scepticism does not necessarily mean a lack of compassion for our elderly.

If a deadly virus comes along that primarily kills the sick and elderly, wouldn't it just make more sense to isolate the sick and elderly, rather than lock down our whole society and consign thousands of young people to perish as well?  Surely the approach supported by lockdown enthusiasts is twice as cruel and if anything lockdown sceptics are actually capable of displaying more empathy?

Meanwhile, Sarkar could barely contain her spite by issuing another tweet just after 6pm in which she mocked the 'clap for Tom', something that had been endorsed by both main party leaders.

The irony is that many lockdown enthusiasts would probably endorse martial law if the BBC said it was a good idea.

PRIME MINISTER'S QUESTIONS 03.02.21

TIME FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT

Dan Wootton is joining Andrew Neil's channel

News that Dan Wootton will be joining the hotly anticipated GB News channel is another marker to suggest Andrew Neil's project will be something a little bit different.  Wootton is a vocal lockdown sceptic who has used his TalkRadio slot to promote views that are rarely heard on mainstream broadcasters.  He is leaving both TalkRadio and The Sun to host a daily show on GB News, although we still have no launch date for the channel.

Andrew Neil has also boasted of more than a thousand job applications in the last week, including an 'impressive calibre of talent from established broadcasters'.  He is clearly enjoying trolling the mainstream media, who will naturally be bricking it at the thought of a right-leaning news competitor.  The fact that The Guardian smears GB News on a regular basis is also a good sign of things to come.  It hasn't even got a launch date or an official logo and the left is in meltdown.

Finally, the left-wing pro-EU pro-globalist protection racket that is the British broadcast media is about to end.  Amen.

ATTENTION BANGLDESHIS

On Tuesday night Sir Squeaky retweeted Camden Council with a message for the Bangladeshi community.  He'd obviously been drawn to the tweet late in the day, because he only gave his followers a 13 minute warning for the online event and, worse still, he misspelt the word Bangladeshi.

Among those pointing out the glaring typo was one user who commented: "In the age of spell check, how do miss spell Bangladeshi, it's spelt in the tweet your retweeting".  Another wrote: "Our next PM".  Presumably that was sarcasm.

Starmer's bungled tweet is still up at the time of writing.

THE DEPTHS OF TWITTER

While the overwhelming majority of Brits mourned the loss of a national hero on Tuesday, guess which left-wing cesspit was used by vile scum to mock his death?

Twitter, naturally.

The hate for Captain Tom actually began a couple of months ago when he tweeted from Barbados, where he was fulfilling his dream holiday of a lifetime.  Imagine being so spiteful that you begrudge a 100-year-old a holiday in the same year he raised more than £30 million for the NHS?  Furthermore, many of these fanatical lockdown enthusiasts got it completely wrong by suggesting that he had somehow broke the rules.  He left the country on December 11 when his hometown was in Tier 2 and foreign travel was allowed.  He did not break a single rule.

Take this idiot who seems to have retroactively decided that England was in full lockdown mode in December.

The theme that Captain Tom somehow got his 'just desserts' by catching the virus on holiday ran through many of the sick comments.  However, he tested positive for coronavirus more than two weeks after he returned to the UK, so they've got it wrong again.  His positive test came after he was discharged from hospital last month, where he had been diagnosed with pneumonia.  It appears that like so many Covid victims, he caught the virus in hospital.

He didn't get his jab in December because he was out of the country, but there is no guarantee that he would have been offered it then anyway.  Most people over the age of 80 were not vaccinated until January.

It's worth noting that these spiteful individuals are a tiny majority, even on Twitter.  Many of the more offensive messages were quickly deleted after coming under criticism.

The absolute legend that was Captain Tom Moore will live long in the collective memory of our nation.  That's more than can be said for the leftist lockdown fanatics of Twatter.  He achieved more in six months than many of them will achieve in their entire sad little lives.  Losers.

CATHERINE WEST'S HUMBLE PIE

Having endured a weekend of mockery, Labour's Catherine West has now deleted her controversial vaccine tweet and issued an apology.  Last year the staunch Remainer tweeted that the UK government's decision to opt out of the EU's vaccine procurement scheme was 'dumber and dumber'.  Needless to say, that tweet has not aged well.

Credit where it's due - a Remainer who admits they were wrong about their beloved EU is a rarity indeed.

WHISPERING BARRY LASHES OUT

Labour's Barry Gardiner was involved in a bad tempered exchange with Tory MP Richard Holden on Monday.  The pair were appearing on the BBC's Politics Live when host Jo Coburn raised the issue of Labour's call to extend quarantine measures to all travellers to the UK.  Holden's response sparked an angry intervention from Gardiner, to which Holden replied that Labour were engaging in 'typical Goldilocks politics'.  To be fair, Gardiner made some valid points - click below for the video.

Neither Gardiner or Holden are frontbenchers, so their influence on these matters is somewhat limited, but Labour's proposal does make sense.  What is the point of only putting certain nationals in quarantine when anyone can bring in a new strain?  We all saw how quickly this virus spread across the face of the planet and we've seen how nations with aggressive border policies have fared much better than us.

The Australian Open will soon host tens of thousands of tennis fans as a direct result of the country's strict approach at the border.  Furthermore, today the Isle of Man not only lifted its lockdown, but removed all restrictions - including social distancing.  The strict Manx border policy extends to all travellers, regardless of their origin.

It seems that in the UK we are currently in a Twilight Zone-style situation where a party normally committed to opening borders wants them tightened, while the Tories appear desperate to keep them open.  Having been pushed for a vote on the issue, Boris Johnson has taken the extraordinary decision to whip his MPs into abstaining on Labour's proposal.  So much for taking back control!

STARMER'S PIGS AT THE TROUGH

The Sun's exposĂ© of Labour frontbench expenses has been a huge embarrassment to the likes of Lisa Nandy, Jon Ashworth and co, but none more so than the holier-than-thou self-appointed defender of the downtrodden - Angela Rayner.  Apparently, standard fare is not good enough for the sanctimonious one and she has blown a whopping £1,600 on 23 first class train tickets since the beginning of the pandemic.  That's almost £70 a ticket.  The taxpayer will foot the bill for an eye watering £30,952.98 in total expense claims made by Rayner during the past year.

Her colleague Lisa Nandy has somehow managed to find even more expensive tickets, blowing £1,800 on just 13 journeys - again first class.  That's £138 a pop, despite the fact Nandy represents a seat just down the road from Rayner's.  Nandy also billed the taxpayer for a TV licence for her office, as well as hand sanitiser and council tax.  Her total claims amount to £23,083.44.

Shadow Health Secretary Jon Ashworth claimed for a total of 23,865.67, including £72 on taxi fares between his second home and Westminster.

Business spokeswoman Lucy Powell claimed a total of 25,206.49, including £390 worth of first class train travel.

Women and equality spokeswoman Gill Furniss claimed a total of 19,506.31, including yet more first class train travel.

"Standard class is good enough for most people", John O'Connell of the Taxpayers' Alliance told The Sun.  Indeed, and if these parasites continue to feed at this rate, anger will surely grow as ordinary people begin to pay a heavy price for this never-ending lockdown lunacy.

THE MONTH IN CARTOONS - JANUARY 2021

We very much hope this will be a monthly feature on our YouTube channel, showcasing some of the best cartoons from each month.  It's something that had been suggested some time ago, but with the last day of the month falling on a Sunday, Karl finally had time to do it.  The content will not be for everyone and our inaugural 'cartoon of the month' is sure to rattle a few lockdown enthusiasts, but in our opinion Bob Moran has encapsulated the lockdown nightmare very very appropriately.

Watch below or on YouTube.

As some have commented over the past year, our cartoon selections are often Labour-light.  This is very true, but it is through no fault of our own.  Since Corbyn vacated the leadership, political cartoonists have not exactly been enthralled by the eminently dull Starmer.  If he appeared in more than one toon last month then we missed it.  He's a total non-entity.
