CAR CRASH CONFERENCE

Tom Watson has arrived in Brighton following Friday night's Momentum-led attempts to purge him from the front bench.  Billy Bunter exited his train and walked straight into a media circus outside the station.  He wasted no time in hitting back at Momentum's Jon Lansman...

And so began Labour's 2019 party conference.  Infighting galore before the event even began.  Jon Lansman was probably still purring following his successful attempt to purge the party's student wing earlier this week.  Labour Students was perceived as too 'moderate' by the hard left, so it was binned, although organisers have vowed to fight back (more infighting on the way).  However, Lansman's attempt to purge Tom Watson proved to be a step too far and following a backlash from moderate MPs Corbyn stepped in to slap down his militant wing.

With one showdown averted, another was just about to begin.  On Saturday afternoon there was a demonstration outside the conference hall.  This was an anti-Corbyn protest in all but name and most troubling for Jez was the fact that it was made up entirely of his own activists and was led out by none other than his own front bench colleagues!  For once Tom Watson was nowhere to be seen, this time the humiliation was poured on the Great Leader by arch Remainers Emily Thornberry and Keir Starmer.  Lady Nugee was dressed as the EU flag as she addressed the anti-Brexit protest sparked by Corbyn's refusal to back Remain in Labour's proposed second referendum.

Anti-Corbyn Remain protest attended by Labour MPs Clive Lewis, Chi Onwurah,
Marsha de Cordova and Lloyd Russell-Mole

"Where's Jeremy Corbyn" chanted the protesters, openly mocking their leader.  This conference is more like a comedy festival than a party conference and there are still another four days of this mayhem in front of beleaguered Jezza.

ALEXEI'S SLURRY CORBYN PROMO

Most Corbynista millennials will have never heard of Alexei Sayle.  He was a big name on the so-called 'alternative comedy' circuit in the 1980s and was a TV regular.  Thankfully he largely disappeared from our screens thereafter.  He's written a raft of books in recent years and hasn't done too badly for himself on account he can afford to live in upmarket Bloomsbury, with a holiday home in the south of Spain.  He's also a lifelong communist (he joined the Communist Party at fifteen) and therefore he is a big supporter of Jeremy Corbyn.

On the eve of the Labour conference he released a video on Twitter in which he defended Corbyn (see below) and also used his Jewish background to rubbish claims the party has become a haven for anti-Semites.  He proudly shows off his Jeremy Corbyn mug to the camera, but judging from his slurred speech we can only speculate as to which top shelf product slipped into it...

COUNCIL BY-ELECTIONS 19.09.19

There were six by-elections last night, three defended by Labour and three by the Conservatives.  Labour held all three, despite seeing their share of the vote drop.  The Labour vote was down in all five seats it contested, ranging from 5.9% to 17%.  The Tories lost one of their seats to the Lib Dems who surged to victory in Somerset, in fact the Lib Dem vote shot up significantly all round.  The Tory vote was mostly down, but marginally compared to Labour.

JEW HATE COMING TO BRIGHTON

The Labour conference begins tomorrow and ends on Wednesday.  We can expect five days of lunacy and not a Union flag in sight.  Infighting has already kicked off before a single delegate has even set foot in Brighton, with rows over Brexit, the student wing and Clause IV.  Having said all that, a conference characterised by lunacy certainly hasn't done the Lib Dems much harm.  They appear to be enjoying a bounce following their insane anti-Brexit conference and have overtaken Labour according to the latest YouGov poll.

Labour's conference is taking place at the Brighton Centre, facing the seafront.  The venue just happens to be right next door to the Grand Hotel that was bombed by the IRA in 1984, killing five and injuring dozens.  Corbyn was famously arrested outside the Old Bailey protesting in support of the Brighton bomber.  Could they not have chosen somewhere a little less offensive?

Speaking of offence, Labour MP Louise Ellman is worried about another phenomenon, that which has dogged Corbyn's hard left Labour since he won the leadership.  The following video appeared on Twitter yesterday.  We considered sharing it on Facebook, but given recent censorship from the humour-devoid moderators in Dublin, we decided against it.

REMAIN... ON THE FENCE

Jeremy Corbyn's most recent Brexit u-turn (if you can keep up) will keep him firmly under the cosh from both sides.  While he remains committed to holding a second referendum (in direct contradiction of Labour's 2017 manifesto), he says Labour would sit on the fence in that referendum.  Good luck getting all your MPs on board with that policy!  Several have already indicated they would ignore such a strategy and openly campaign for Remain.  Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford has also announced he would back Remain and has instructed Welsh members to follow suit (despite the fact Wales voted Leave in 2016).

However, Jezza actually has some support for his policy of neutrality.  That support has been mobilised by Rotherham Constituency Labour Party by way of a motion to be submitted to the forthcoming party conference (see below, click to enlarge).

One might commend Rotherham CLP for resisting the full-on Remain stance, but why can't they actually support the huge Leave mandate that was handed to them in 2016 by the Rotherham electorate?  The constituency returned one of the strongest Leave votes in the country at 68%, yet the local Labour Party would rather sit on the fence and, by proxy, ignore their instruction by supporting another referendum.

Curiously there is no mention of Rotherham's MP in the motion or the accompanying letter.  That's probably because Sarah Champion has ideas of her own.  She recently caused a stir among Remainers by not only daring to suggest that the Leave mandate should be implemented, but that she would personally opt for a no deal exit over revocation.  Watch the shocking exchange below, courtesy of Politics Live (don't watch if you are of a remoan disposition).

There will have been some tea and coffee spat out that lunchtime.

FACEBOOK CENSORS STRIKE DOWN OLD POST

It's been a while, but the Facebook censors have struck again (see below).  We received the notification a few days ago and can only assume that the Dublin-based moderators have no sense of humour.  The post is more than six months old and is the first time they have dredged up an historic post with which to chastise us.

There is no malice here or acts of terrorism depicted.  Are we not allowed to show images of masked terrorists?  That's quite odd seeing as it was revealed in today's news that Facebook has been 'auto-generating' pages in the names of al-Qaeda and Islamic State, among others.  It's almost as if the famed 'community standards' don't apply to Daesh, just to anyone else using their imagery.  It's beyond a joke.

See previous examples of Facebook censorship against us here, here and here.

RAPED BY THE "FAR RIGHT"

Labour's candidate for the north Wales seat of Aberconwy has made a sensational claim on her Facebook page today.  She says she was raped last year in a "politically motivated attack".  Read her full statement below (redirects to Facebook).

Now while this is obviously a vile crime, the conduct and motive behind bringing it up now is very odd.  One of the first things she says is that she wants to raise a very important point.  Well, what is it?  The bulk of Emily's statement appears to be exploiting an awful event in order to score political points against the government and re-iterate the crazed Labour mantra that there is a 'far right' threat around every corner.

She complains about being called a snowflake during the 2017 general election and yet she appears to behave just like a snowflake, bemoaning her 'white privilege' and pleading with people not to be unkind in the comments.  She is also desperate for people not to ask her why on earth she did not report the assault to the police.  Wait, no, this is a serious question.  You were raped by someone who told you they were 'far right', therefore representing the very kind of devastating threat you speak of at length here, and yet you let them off the hook?  They could have been behind bars right now.  Bizarre.

How the dubious ethics of this sort of political exploitation will transfer to Aberconwy voters in an election is anyone's guess.  What we do know is that she is hot favourite to take this seat from the Conservatives.  At the last election she slashed the Tory majority from almost 3,999 to just 635.  The Brexit Party have already selected a candidate for the next election and we know what happens when the Tories and the Brexit Party share a ballot paper.  Labour or the Lib Dems win.

It's time for a Leave alliance!

NUTTY HULK ACTOR SMASHES BORIS

The actor who currently plays the Incredible Hulk has bizarrely joined in the chorus of remoaner contempt for Boris Johnson's recent Marvel-inspired Brexit remarks.

It may come as no surprise to anyone that Ruffalo is a supporter of far left Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders.  He also 'endorsed' our own version of Sanders in the 2017 general election.

Why any of this concerns a New York resident is anyone's guess.  He didn't have a vote in the EU referendum and he doesn't have a vote in any of our elections.  While no-one can fault his acting abilities, off screen his virtue signalling knows no bounds.  In addition to backing various environmental and LGBT campaigns, he also called on the NBC network to stop hiring 'white conservatives'.  He is also a conspiracy theorist and has perpetuated conspiracies ranging from the September 11th attacks to the 'manufactured' Zika virus.

Needless to say Lib Dems and other nutty remoaners are lapping up Ruffalo's anti-Boris tweet!

HANDS AROUND JEZZA'S NECK

George Galloway has spoken to the local rag in West Bromwich about his forthcoming electoral showdown with Tom Watson.  George is fighting his campaign primarily on Brexit and hoping to capitalise on the fact West Bromwich East returned a huge 68% Leave vote in 2016.  However, independents rarely succeed and it's clear that Galloway seriously overestimates his popularity.  If the Brexit Party contests this seat he'll be lucky to save his deposit.  The reality is that this is one seat that could seriously benefit from a Leave alliance.  It's unlikely that a Tory could unseat Remainer Watson in such a traditional Labour seat, but a Brexit Party candidate in their place could pose a serious threat.  Perhaps George should seek the nomination (like he did in Peterborough)...

Tom Watson (Lab) 22,664 (58.0%) +7.8%
Emma Crane (Con) 14,951 (38.2%) +13.3%

Flo Clucas (Lib Dem) 751 (2.0%) -11.2%
Barry Lim (Green) 628 (1.7%) New

The seat has been held by Labour since its creation in 1974, although the Labour majority has varied from just 298 votes (in 1983) to a high of 13,584 (in 1997).

DAVE TRIGGERED BY A BOAT

Daft Dave Lammy is such a bag of contradictions.  He spends much of his life moaning about racism, yet can't contain his own race baiting tendencies.  Yesterday he was triggered by the image of a ship.

The mind boggles doesn't it?  He bemoans "colonial amnesia" yet appears to suggest we should erase from history our proud ship-building tradition because some of those ships happened to transport his ancestors.  We're an island you moron, we build ships.

24 hours earlier Dave also tweeted the following.

Clearly Dave has massive respect for limp-wristed white males who express shame for the crimes of their ancestors.  Obviously, when they say ancestors they don't mean those who fought fascism in the 1940s.  Unless it comes to Brexit, then those evil old fuckers can't die soon enough.  You see Dave, you can't have it both ways.  You can't in one breath use the imagery of WWII heroism to push one agenda, while trashing those same people because they didn't vote Remain.

"Fragility"?  The brass neck of this incompetent race baiting snowflake.

MOST SHARED: WEEK 230

Billy Bunter just can't help himself kicking his own party, regardless of whether they're up or down.  Having scored some major Brexit blocking blows against Boris in the brief period that the Commons sat, Corbyn and co must have thought they'd turned a corner.  Step forward deputy Tom with precision timing.

On Wednesday Tom delivered a speech in which he directly contradicted the (current) party line on a second referendum and said the party must back Remain and a revocation of Article 50.  Tom has been on an interesting journey in recent years.  Not only did he vote to trigger Article 50 in 2017, he had been campaigning in favour of holding an EU referendum since 2013.  How bizarre then that he has now positioned himself as an arch Remainer intent on undoing the result of the very referendum he campaigned for?

WALLY VS BRAIN

The increasingly cocky Remain activist Femi Oluwole thought he would get the better of the new UKIP leader this week.  He engaged Richard Braine in a lengthy debate outside Parliament, surrounded by various Leave and Remain protesters, including a hilariously inebriated Drunk Steve (the twat in the blue hat).  While Richard calmly handles Femi's pro-EU mantra for much of the interview, watch out for Steve's antics in the background.  Comedy gold.

After the camera stopped rolling in the above version, Mr Braine said he hoped that Femi could join him for a pint later.  Classy stuff.

COUNCIL BY-ELECTIONS 12.09.19

There were five contests last night, four of which took place in the Midlands and one in Hampshire.  The Labour vote dropped in all three wards that Labour had previously contested.  The Lib Dem vote was up in a couple of wards and led to them taking a seat from the Tories in Northamptonshire.  The Tory vote was either slightly up or slightly down, except in Wellingborough where the vote share dropped by ten per cent.  In Rutland three candidates were fighting for a seat previously occupied by an independent who had been elected unopposed.

DOE-EYED DIANE'S THROWBACK THURSDAY

Diane Abbott was clearly feeling very sentimental in the early hours of this morning, perhaps enjoying a tipple or seven before compiling this beautiful tribute to the Great Leader (and former lover).

It's high praise indeed, but has he really "seen off" two PMs?  He defeated neither in a general election and they actually saw themselves off by resigning.  It certainly wasn't fear of Jeremy Corbyn that brought that about.  Whatever spin Corbynistas put on the perceived 'success' of their Great Leader, he is still LOTO (Leader of the Opposition) and is now even further away from becoming PMOTUK than ever.

Meanwhile, this is the full image that Diane wanted to portray in her #TBT.  What a lovely pair of Marxists...

BLAIRITES BEHIND PROJECT FEAR SAYS GALLOWAY

Lefty Brexiteer George Galloway has gone off on a wild rant about 'Blairite actors' during a show on Russian state-sponsored broadcaster Sputnik.  Dismissing Project Fear stories about medicine shortages he says many on the left are falling for such 'guff' while at the same time seeing through claims that Jeremy Corbyn is a racist.  He says both messages are being circulated by the likes of Tony Blair, Alastair Campbell, John Major, the CBI and the banks.  Well, he's at least half right...

Just out of curiosity George, where on earth is Wagadoogoo?

'BURN EVERY TORY MP' SAYS COUNCILLOR

A Labour councillor has apologised for two tweets he posted last weekend in which he expressed a desire to burn Oxford University to the ground with every Tory MP inside it (see below).

Cllr Owen Collins was elected to West Oxfordshire District Council in May.  On his Twitter profile Collins describes himself as a "socialist" and "feminist", but since the furore over his tweets he has deleted them and locked down his account.  He has now released a statement regarding the tweets:  "Recent tweets of mine contained thoughtless, and obviously flippant, comments, the content and tone of which I regret.  With that in mind, I have deleted the tweets in question and I sincerely apologise to anyone who has been offended by them".

Quite why it's taken him several days to rethink his words is anyone's guess, but perhaps it is linked to the fact his own council group leader has reported him to Labour HQ?

Cllr Owen Collins celebrates his election in May 2019

COWARDS IN THE COMMONS

Some Labour MPs spent the first day of prorogation hanging around the Commons like a bunch of bored schoolchildren in the summer holidays.  Rather than return to their constituencies and do some proper work these sulky brats tweeted pictures of themselves skulking around Parliament.  They are handsomely paid to be MPs and their jobs entail much more than just attending Parliament, but here they are taking selfies to presumably score some cheap political points.  Furthermore, they could have been actively campaigning for their re-election right now if it weren't for their own cowardice.

Around 30 MPs also gathered outside Parliament and addressed reporters, including Labour's Hilary Benn, Bambos Charalambous, Neil Coyle, Stephen Doughty, Rosie Duffield, Ian Murray, Stephen Pound and Rachel Reeves.  Change UK's Mike Gapes also spoke, as did Luciana Berger who has this year served alongside Mike as both a Labour and Change MP, but is now a Lib Dem.  Speaking of which, Chuka was there too!

Meanwhile, another bunch of losers travelled to Brussels at the invitation of Labour MEPs, primarily their odious leader Richard Corbett.  Clive Lewis, Rachael Maskell, Chi Onwurah, Lloyd Russell-Wotsit and Alex Sobel were among the honoured guests.  Bet their constituents were well impressed with this use of their time - visiting an institution that will soon become irrelevant.

SNOWFLAKE ABBOTT REPORTS SUGAR

Diane Abbott has reported Alan Sugar to Twitter for being "disrespectful" and "offensive".  She highlighted several examples of memes and tweets he's posted about her, including a poem.

Lord Sugar was a Labour peer until 2015 when he resigned alleging that party policy was slipping back into socialist territory.  He has since become a huge critic of Jeremy Corbyn and his fellow commies to the extent that he backed the Tories at the 2017 general election.  Sugar hasn't directly responded to Abbott's tweet, but then she probably has him blocked anyway.  This is her usual response to criticism and she was one of the first MPs to block our Twitter account.  It's also how she responds to members of the public who dare to speak to her.

Most right-minded British people have found some of the things Diane has said and written over the years deeply offensive, but we're clearly made of sterner stuff.  That's just life Diane, people will always say things you don't like or appreciate.  Sticks and stones Diane...

NUGEE VS MORGAN

Emily Thornberry is simply dreadful.  She has no class, despite her lofty background and marriage into the elite.  She speaks with a plum in her mouth, but refuses to take the title of Lady Nugee, while speaking in blunt terminology that she mistakenly believes somehow ingratiates herself to the working classes her party abandoned long ago.

You've got nothing in common with the workers Nugee and your insane Remain policy has potentially demolished your party in your traditional heartlands.  What a treacherous snob.

NEXT SPEAKER FRONTRUNNERS

With the odious John Bercow standing down at Halloween, here are the frontrunners to replace him.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle (Labour, Chorley since 1997).  An incumbent deputy speaker since 2010, he abstains on all Brexit votes and does not have a public stance.  Odds:  4/5 (Ladbrokes, William Hill) 8/11 (Betfred)

Harriet Harman (Labour, Camberwell & Peckham since 1982).  The longest serving female MP and a vocal Remainer who has voted in favour of revoking Article 50 (despite voting to trigger it in 2017).  Odds:  11/4 (Betfred, Ladbrokes, William Hill)

Dame Eleanor Laing (Conservative, Epping Forest since 1997).  Another deputy speaker (since 2013) and therefore does not have a public stance on Brexit.  Odds:  8/1 (Betfred, Ladbrokes), 10/1 (William Hill)

Chris Bryant (Labour, Rhondda since 2001).  Nicknamed 'Captain Underpants' after his exploits on a gay website, Bryant has been eyeing up the Speaker's role for a while.  An ardent Remainer, he has consistently voted to block Brexit at every opportunity, at odds with his constituency which returned a 60% Leave vote.  Odds:  10/1 (Betfred, William Hill), 16/1 (Ladbrokes)

Charles Walker (Conservative, Broxbourne since 2005).  The only known Brexiteer among the favourites, he came out strongly in support of Bercow during a Tory plot to remove him in 2015.  Odds:  12/1 (Betfred, William Hill), 16/1 (Ladbrokes)

SUGAR SLAMS SOCIALISTS

Alan Sugar has been engaging the Twitter trolls once again.

Sugar issued three anti-Corbyn tweets last night, but he took exception to some of the responses to the above tweet.  He began by tweeting a picture of a cheque (three times).

Some Corbynistas weren't impressed by Lord Sugar's tax cheque and questioned its veracity, leading to more exchanges....

This is not the first time he has gone to town on the trolls.

AUSTINS SLAMS POISON OF CORBYN

Former Labour MP Ian Austin has once again laid into Jeremy Corbyn, this time during today's mammoth session in the Commons.  Heckled throughout by Labour's Liz McInnes, Austin slammed Corbyn (and McDonnell) over their support for terror groups and said they had 'poisoned' Labour.  Austin struggled to get into full flow, having been constantly interrupted by McInnes, plus various interjections including a point of order from Labour's Geraint Davies.  Corbyn loyalists didn't like it up them, watch below.
