BLONDE MESS OVER WOODEN TOP ANY DAY

On Friday we were given a brief reminder of the Boris of old. The PM was touring a BT Openreach site in Bolton when a cheeky reporter asked him about his wild hair. Watch below.

It's not clear if the reporter's mum prefers the rigid superglued wooden top of Sir Squeaky, but she wouldn't have got as cheery a response from the most boring man in politics.

NO END IN SIGHT

"The restrictions are temporary, things will be back to normal by spring". Does anyone still believe this? The UK-wide Christmas 'dispensation' has fell apart, Wales and Northern Ireland are to go into full lockdown on Christmas Day itself and the Chancellor has announced that the furlough scheme is to be extended until the end of April. That last piece of information should tell you everything you need to know about the supposed road to freedom in 2021.

Despite the vaccine being rolled out the restrictions are clearly scheduled to last long into next year and possibly longer. Professor Gloom, Doctor Doom and their SAGE cohorts have already warned that face coverings and social distancing will probably be required for the entirety of 2021.

How is this excusable, you may ask? Well, it all comes down to compliance. If so many people blindly comply without asking any questions then the people giving the orders will simply feel they can dictate what they like for as long as they like. The 'enemy' perceived on our behalf is a virus that is either slightly less or slightly more deadlier than the flu and this should set alarm bells ringing for libertarians and conservatives across our nation - and the West. That the only people on our streets appear to be rallying behind Jeremy Corbyn's barmy Marxist brother is also of major concern.

There will be no referendum on coronavirus like there was on Brexit. However, there is a general election scheduled for 2024, by which time our lives will have been changed forever and economic damage will be beyond repair. By then the media will conveniently forget that the Labour Party supported these policies and the mass unemployment and economic destruction will be laid firmly at the door of the Tory government - as it should. Result = Labour government. Easy to dismiss now, but look how quickly things turned sour for President Trump in just eight months.

A FREE CHRISTMAS?

With the UK-wide Christmas 'dispensation' predictably falling apart, our latest emoji poll asked simply whether families should remain free to choose. After 24 hours 850 people had voted and the overwhelming majority thought that families should be free to gather.

The percentages were 79.6 per cent for and 20.4 per cent against. Although the poll was publicly accessible, the fact that it was posted on an anti-socialist site and one in five backed curbs on family gatherings is a tad worrying.

NEW COVID TIERS FOR ENGLAND

Matt Hancock has announced the government's review of coronavirus tiers in England. There is not a great deal of change, but the upshot is that more of England will now be in the toughest tier, with swathes of southern England joining London and Essex in Tier 3. Just two areas will move down a tier, but only Herefordshire will join Cornwall, the Isle of Wight and Scilly Isles in Tier 1.

ATTACK OF THE MACE GRABBERS

Another of the phoney 'nationalists' to make the journey down to Westminster this week was Drew Hendry, the member for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey (yes, that is one constituency). During a debate on the Internal Market Bill he leapt from his seat and began shouting in front of deputy speaker, Rosie Winterton. After she threatened to have him expelled from the chamber he decided to grab the ceremonial mace and make off with it. As per usual when MPs grab the mace they don't get very far. Watch below.

Clearly the SNP - like many of their bitter Remain colleagues in Parliament - are upset about the Internal Market Bill and any other such post-Brexit legislation that makes our transition to a free, independent nation as smooth as possible. Hendry was duly suspended from the chamber.

He is not the first Remainer MP to grab the mace during a Brexit debate. In December 2018 the hard left Labour MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle marched forward and did the same as MPs debated Theresa May's Withdrawal Agreement. "Name him" an MP could be heard shouting, which is the instruction from the Speaker to expel the offender.

We have to go back almost ten years to the previous mace grabbing incident and this again involved a hard left Labour MP - none other than John McDonnell. In 2009 Labour were in government, but McDonnell was unhappy with the response from his colleague Transport Secretary Geoff Hoon to his question about the new runway for Heathrow. After Hoon said there would be no vote on the matter, the Quartermaster marched down from the back benches, grabbed the mace and dumped it on the front bench. He could be heard still shouting as the deputy speaker named him.

McDonnell was the first MP to grab the mace for over twenty years, the previous offender being yet another hard left Labour MP. Ron Brown (Edinburgh Leith) was protesting about the poll tax in 1988 and is the only member to date to actually damage the mace. After taking the mace he threw it to the floor and was later ordered to pay a £1,500 repair bill. He refused to apologise in the Commons, leading to a further suspension for 20 days. His refusal to back down also led to his suspension from the Labour Party for three months. Brown was expelled from Labour altogether three years later. Like Jeremy Corbyn, he was alleged to have held clandestine meetings with Soviet agents during the Cold War.

Only two other MPs grabbed the mace during the twentieth century - one Conservative and one Labour. Michael Heseltine held the mace above his head after the Labour government won a narrow victory on nationalising aircraft and ship building in 1976. He was particularly incensed when Labour MPs began singing the Red Flag.

John Beckett, a Labour MP who later turned to fascism, tried to leave the chamber with the mace in 1930 after one of his colleagues had been ordered from the Commons.

FREE BUFFET, IAN?

The SNP's dreary Commons leader is billing the British taxpayer for a 1,200 mile round trip after making a surprise in-person appearance at the final PMQs of the year. Ian Blackford has asked his allotted questions remotely from his home on the Isle of Skye for months, but showed up in person on Wednesday. Could it be that he and his colleagues were hoping to take advantage of the free buffet at the Christmas party? One assumes that there will be some form of hushed up gathering in the Commons at some point in the days to come, while the rest of us peasants are told that socialising is banned.

Blackford's other excuse for his sudden appearance concerned the urgent business of SNP members re-electing him as their leader. This did not have to take place in person either and it's not clear if all of his 46 colleagues made the lengthy trip to pat him on the back (he was re-elected unanimously).

How ironic that his party are quick to criticise Prince William for touring the United Kingdom during a pandemic when he and his comrades are happy to do travel in the other direction at taxpayers' expense?

CORBYN PROJECT MOCKED

Jeremy Corbyn's new venture has been brutally mocked in a spoof website set up in its name. Corbyn announced the 'Project for Peace and Justice' on Sunday, something which he claims to have been planning since the spring. A Twitter account appeared last month and has quickly amassed thousands of followers, but the domain name has been seized by a prankster who has set up a spoof site crammed full of digs at Corbyn's links to anti-Semitism (see example screenshots below).

The culprit behind the website claims to be a British Jew and says he has fired off his first donation to the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism - in doing so has done more than 'magic grandpa' ever has. He/she says the website will be updated daily, it can be found here.

So what is Corbyn's project actually about? It's basically a communist front designed to push the far left agenda he was forced to abandon when it was crushed at the 2019 general election. If he fails to get reinstated as a Labour MP the 'project' could easily be rebranded the Peace and Justice Party and registered as a political party. So far his Labour comrades have been largely silent about it, with the exception of Zarah Sultana and the ever loyal Richard Burgon who retweeted Corbyn's badly edited promotional video (watch below).

A second promo video reveals some of the hard left supporters backing Corbyn's new venture including the Marxist 'comedian' Alexei Sayle, film director Ken Loach, ex-union leader Christine Blower and the former hard left president of Ecuador (watch below).

Corbyn's project ironically mirrors the path of his self-perceived nemesis Tony Blair. Blair began to launch various projects less than a year after he stepped down as PM and party leader. These have all now been incorporated into multi-million pound globalist enterprise the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. Investors include the US State Department and the Saudi regime, who pumped in £9million in 2018 via the tax haven of Guernsey (according to the Telegraph). It's highly doubtful that Corbyn's tinpot outfit would ever garner such financial support, but it will undoubtedly add to his already impressive £3million net worth.

The next stage in his new venture is the official launch on January 17, featuring online contributions from Zarah Sultana, his Unite pal Len McCluskey and a whole host of hard left has-beens. Kerching!

UK NO LONGER 'HIGHEST DEATH TOLL'

There was a deafening silence in the mainstream media after Italy overtook the UK for the most Covid-reported deaths in Europe. It happened on Saturday and the Italians have extended their unfortunate lead in the two days since. The media silence says a lot about their narrative. The BBC, Sky and comrades remain committed to selectively reporting that Britain is the worst of the worst when it comes to coronavirus (and a few other things too).

The Italian development also means that Keir Starmer and Labour will no longer be able to characterise the UK as having the 'highest death toll in Europe'. Of course things can change, but this is the state of play in Europe as of Monday 14 December (with the latest reported daily death toll in brackets).

Put into perspective, at worse the virus accounts for the deaths of 0.15 per cent of Belgium's population and as little as 0.03 per cent of Russia's population. In the UK Covid deaths have accounted for 0.09 per cent of the population. Each winter the flu takes the lives of an average of 0.02 per cent of the UK population, but bear in mind this is with a flu vaccine already in place. Again, these are facts that the mainstream media and the politicians don't want to furnish the public with.

MILIBAND MARRED BY BREXIT

Ed Miliband repeatedly clashed with Andrew Marr on Sunday over the Brexit negotiations and how the Labour frontbencher perceives the state of play. Marr put it to Miliband that the EU are demanding that Britain remains tied to the single market, but Ed confidently informed him this was not the case. Ed has not been a member of any government for more than ten years, so it's not clear how he can categorically refute any claim about Brexit negotiations as he is nowhere near the Brexit negotiations.

The truth is revealed seconds later as Marr presses on with his line of questioning and Miliband does a complete u-turn, saying: "We don't exactly know what the proposal is". Ah, right, but seconds earlier you were pretty certain about what it wasn't. Marr lets this go, but then dives in with a killer question about Labour's backing for a post-Brexit deal. He hits Miliband with this after Ed has waffled on several times about how disastrous a no deal scenario would be. "We'll look at the detail" is Ed's response as to whether Labour would back a deal, but Marr is having none of it and accuses Miliband of being 'mealy mouthed'.

Miliband knows how tricky this issue is for Labour. It was a key reason Labour support collapsed north of Watford in the last election and he had been one of those northern MPs who fully supported Starmer's second referendum con trick. He also knows that any vote on a Brexit deal would be fraught with danger for Starmer's leadership because if MPs are whipped to support it there would be a major rebellion that could include senior frontbenchers.

Perhaps it was no great surprise to see Miliband suddenly launch into an attack on Boris Johnson at this point, but his deflection flounders and he begins to almost rave as Marr corrects him. Hard to believe that this was once Labour's leader, especially considering that neither of his polar opposite successors get this animated during interviews. THE EMPIRE STRUCK OFF

Labour's Kate Green has told the BBC's Nick Robinson that the use of the word 'empire' in the British honours system is 'offensive'. The shadow education secretary was led into her remarks as Robinson referred to the 'annual controversy' over such titles. What annual controversy Nick? In your mind, perhaps. Green probably didn't need the prompting anyway as she immediately launched into an all-out attack on a single word: "It's really the wrong language. It's divisive, it's offensive, it's hurtful to people... you can't excuse or justify that branding".

In 2005 Green, a banker at that time, was awarded an OBE. Let that sink in. She later said that she only accepted the award as it pleased her father. Green is the second Labour frontbencher to lay into the word 'empire' this year after Lisa Nandy announced during the leadership contest that she would replace it with the word 'excellence'.

During the podcast she also threw in her belief that the entire school curriculum should be 'decolonised' and expressed her support for the Black Curriculum campaign. Green talks about 'division' in one breath and then lends support for heavily divisive racial identity politics the next. The introduction of critical race theory into schools appears to be on Labour's agenda, something that will put race relations back decades. This is more in line with the Marxist doctrine of BLM than the supposedly moderate patriotic 'new leadership' of Starmer. Insidious.

POOR LEWIS HAD A COUGH

Oh poor Lewis Hamilton. The über rich tax exile has apparently just endured one of his 'hardest weeks' after testing positive for coronavirus. In a video posted on his social media accounts he thanked his fans for their support, although he doesn't explain what was so 'hard' about it. He appears perfectly well in the video and has reportedly suffered only mild symptoms.

For people back home - who retain British accents and pay their taxes - this video must have really struck a chord. Just how out of touch and narcissistic can you be to release a video bemoaning what appears to have been at worst a dry cough, while so many of your countrymen and women have perished and millions face an uncertain future?

Despite his tax exile status, American accent and support for Marxist causes, Hamilton is odds on favourite to win BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Of course he is, anything less than victory would have the BBC crying 'racism' in the year of BLM and his high profile support for the anti-capitalist movement. Hamilton's endless hypocrisy is not only lost on the BBC, it's lost on himself.

HARTLEY-BREWER RILES UP TWITTER

Julia Hartley-Brewer sparked a Twitter meltdown last night as she appeared on BBC's Question Time. She drove the metropolitan elite to distraction with her views on Brexit, lockdowns and Black Lives Matter. Even before the programme was broadcast her appearance was condemned. Question Time tweeted an introduction for each of their guests and Hartley-Brewer's attracted 160 comments, while Labour's Wes Streeting received 11 comments, Malcolm Turnbull 12 and politics professor Anand Menon just three. Tory minister Robert Buckland was a late edition to the line-up.

As a vociferous Brexiteer, Hartley-Brewer was guaranteed a frosty reception by the #FBPE Twitter mob, but she compounded their metropolitan anger by providing some home truths about lockdown restrictions and BLM too. She clashed with Buckland, having quite rightly pointed out that Covid infections in England were already levelling off prior to the November lockdown. She pointed to recent ONS data to back up her argument, at which point Fiona Bruce interrupted and unsuccessfully tried to silence her.

The final topic for debate was inevitable. This was the first edition of Question Time since football fans were allowed back into (some) football matches and the taking of the knee had not been well received. So began the latest media exercise in pleb-bashing, singling out once again the fans of Millwall, while briefly mentioning Colchester United and absolutely no reference to West Ham United - who, as a Premier League club, appear to be subject to a conspiracy of silence that seeks to portray anti-BLM sentiment as an isolated phenomenon limited to the lower leagues.

As with her lockdown views, Hartley-Brewer was out on her own again. She defended fans' right to boo a political gesture that had no place in football and again she was challenged by Bruce. Labour's Wes Streeting responded by joining his BBC comrades in labelling the Millwall fans 'racist'. Meanwhile, Buckland hung his cabinet colleague George Eustice out to dry as he too condemned the Millwall fans. Eustice was heavily criticised in the mainstream media when he had the audacity to point out that BLM was a political movement and not one that should be applauded. Such sentiment is clearly 'dissident speech' in the eyes of the media.

While Hartley-Brewer enjoyed a fair amount of backing on Twitter, she was generally denounced with the usual diatribes of 'far right' and 'racist' while one snowflake remarked that when he hears her name he has to 'start breathing through a bag'. What a woke cesspit.

BATTLE OF THE GINGERS

Labour's Paul Embery continued to promote his excellent new book on Thursday with an appearance on BBC's Politics Live. After batting away host Jo Coburn's repeated attempts to label Millwall fans 'racist', the author went to town on his snooty colleague Lloyd Russell-Moyle. The Brighton MP was flabbergasted as Embery explained how his metropolitan ilk had abandoned the working classes. "How dare you!" shrieked the comical Russell-Moyle, before he embarked on a sanctimonious response that consisted primarily of how offended he was - without countering any of Embery's observations.

Of course the likes of this woke Corbyn loyalist cannot form a coherent argument when it comes to Labour's abandonment of the working classes because they would rather not even acknowledge their existence at all. These are, after-all, the scum who voted for Brexit and Labour do not speak for them.

A TANTRUM BORN OF SOUR GRAPES

If you were watching PMQs yesterday you may well have been wondering what on earth was happening with Labour MP Chris Bryant. As Boris Johnson was answering a question from Keir Starmer about Brexit, the Speaker interrupted him to chastise Bryant for some off-camera incident. The Rhondda MP promptly disappeared from the chamber and did not return until later on during the same session. Lindsay Hoyle had to interrupt the PM a second time after Bryant appeared at his side: "Mr Bryant I think we need this conversation later". "Fine" came Bryant's petulant response and he waved his arms before stomping off.

Chris Bryant is one of Labour's most ardent Remainers and the incident is thought to have begun after he was asked to be quiet while the PM was speaking. According to The Sun and Daily Mail, he was 'chuntering' in a doorway at the back of the opposition benches. The Speaker was also unhappy with where the MP was standing as it created a lack of social distancing. Bryant is alleged to have responded to Sir Lindsay by throwing his hand in the air and saying: "Oh, f*** off". He then scarpered through the open door.

Bryant has not spoken publicly about the clash, but told the Mail that he 'categorically' denied swearing at either the PM or the Speaker.

While it can't be proven either way what happened in the first exchange, Bryant's behaviour upon his return was simply childish.

It appears that there is a simple reason for Bryant's behaviour and it is not so much about Brexit, but about personal rivalry. Last year he went head to head with Hoyle for the Speaker's role and came off second best. On first preference votes he actually came third behind Eleanor Laing, but managed to reach the final run-off where he was comfortably beaten 325-213.

Chris Bryant is not only a sore loser over Brexit, but he is still smarting twelve months after losing out on the Speaker's role. Thank Heavens this petulant little man didn't end up in the chair!

LABOUR COUNCILLORS BACK PAY RISE

Labour councillors in Coventry have voted through a pay-rise for themselves despite Tory opposition. The Conservative group proposed an amendment that would freeze councillors' pay in solidarity with struggling workers, but Labour blocked it and pushed through the pay rise at a full council meeting on Tuesday. Introducing his amendment, Tory group leader Cllr Tim Sawdon said: "When many of our constituents have lost their jobs or been furloughed with a 20 per cent pay cut, I think it is incumbent upon us to make a gesture of support".

The 2.75 per cent pay rise was supported by both the council leader and his deputy and will also be backdated to include 2020, a move likely to stir anger in the city. The Coventry Telegraph quoted council leader Cllr George Duggins: "This would have gone through in February had the case have been made then and I think most people thought they would automatically get the increase in line with our employees and frankly it’s right we should be linked with our employees. If they don’t get a pay increase neither do we and nor should we, but if they do so should we so there is a clear synergy between our employees and ourselves as councillors". Sorry George, but the case wasn't made in February because the economy-crippling pandemic had yet to unfold!

His colleague Cllr Abdul Khan also defended the pay rise: "We are not asking for more money, what we are asking is to continue the system as it has been operating for the last 20 years". His Labour colleagues on Tory-led Oxfordshire County Council begged to differ. Meeting on the same day, councillors there universally rejected a pay rise, although Labour did not have the numbers to push through a rise even if they'd wanted to. A pay rise was also unanimously rejected by Tory-dominated Richmondshire District Council, where there are no Labour councillors. The Conservative leader of Lincolnshire County Council said a pay rise will be also rejected there (although the Labour opposition said they would support it).

It appears that pay rises can be rejected, unless Labour are in charge. It's no coincidence that while many Tory MPs have voiced opposition to the proposed 4.1 per cent pay rise for MPs, Labour members remain tight-lipped. The Mail on Sunday recently quoted unnamed Labour MPs as being highly critical of Tory members voicing opposition to the proposed pay rise by IPSA (Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority).

Any suggestion of pay rises for politicians ought to be completely out of the question while ordinary people face pay freezes and millions face unemployment. It's little wonder that the red wall fell and working classes continue to abandon Labour.

FROM DURACELL TO SOCIOPATH

During the course of the pandemic Matt Hancock's reputation has turned increasingly sour. Back in the spring he was known for being one of the most tireless and reassuring members of the government, earning the nickname 'Duracell bunny' from one Sky News correspondent. In recent weeks he has shown himself to be shameless and manipulative, verging on the sociopathic.

Hancock's appearance on Good Morning Britain yesterday will take some beating. In trying to display sorrow he actually ends up smirking and laughing, suggesting that he is not only incapable of grief, but finds the concept amusing. This is one of the hallmarks of a sociopath. Click below to watch.

This was even worse than his attempt to convey grief during the recent lockdown debate, when he informed the house that his 'step-grandfather' had died of coronavirus. Exploiting the death of a relative or even a 'step-relative' as a means of emotional blackmail in a political debate is highly manipulative and again shows his sociopathic side.

His excitable outburst halfway through a Sky News interview last week is also troubling and suggests a lack of empathy with both people who have lost loved ones and those who continue to suffer as a result of his government's lockdown measures. The end is not in sight and he knows it, which makes his smirking and gesticulation all the more sinister.

While all these examples are painful to watch, perhaps his most creepiest performance actually took place prior to the pandemic. Appearing outside a hospital a year ago he sidles up to an attractive female party activist while a suspicious bulge forms in his trousers. When she waves her hand to the side she almost touches the bulge and she leans back awkwardly as he continues to leer at her.

While it's incredibly worrying to have such individuals making key decisions, perhaps even a dangerous sociopath is better than the alternative - Hancock's bumbling, yellow-bellied, back-stabbing opposite number Jonathan Ashworth.

SKY'S TWISTED BLM TWEET

The mainstream media's detachment from the masses was highlighted again over the weekend with their hysterical reaction to the booing of BLM virtue signalling at Millwall. For left-wing journalists it's simply inconceivable that a crowd of people could object to the knee, the same way in which they struggled to accept the Leave mandate. By lashing out with the 'racist' label they are once again tarring the majority of the British population who simply don't want to support an organisation that wants to overthrow democracy, get rid of the police and destroy the family unit.

Last night Millwall were playing another home game, this time a London derby against Queens Park Rangers. Millwall players did not take the knee on this occasion, but instead held up a banner bearing the logos of various anti-racism campaigns including Show Racism The Red Card and Kick It Out. There was no reference to BLM and the fans respected their decision, proving that Saturday's booing had nothing to do with racism and everything to do with a Marxist movement that had rioted on London's streets earlier this year.

However, Sky News completely misrepresented last night's pre-match events to fit their own BLM agenda, bizarrely tweeting that fans 'cheered support for Black Lives Matter'. The tweet conflates two separate incidents, showing a picture of QPR players kneeling while the headline references the Millwall banner. Millwall fans did not at any stage cheer BLM. In fact they once again showed their disapproval of this disgusting organisation by cheering a non-BLM banner and cheering their players for not taking the knee. It's a remarkably twisted tweet (see below).

Labour's Apsana Begum will stand trial next month on three charges of housing fraud. The Poplar and Limehouse MP appeared before Westminster magistrates on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty. She is accused of lying about her housing status in order to obtain a council flat in Tower Hamlets, reportedly leapfrogging 18,000 others to the front of the waiting list. She will now be tried by jury, with her next court appearance on January 5 at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Remarkably, Begum still retains both her party membership and the party whip. This is at odds with the treatment of her hard left colleague Claudia Webbe who faces trial in March. Webbe was stripped of the party whip upon being charged with harassment. Why the double standard Sir Keir?

DRAKEFORD'S R RATE LIE

Disinformation and misinformation have been key to the fearmongering campaign waged by governments across the UK during the pandemic. Whether it be the Tories in Westminster or the socialists in Cardiff and Edinburgh, the misrepresentation of data has been used to maintain fear. After all, a population that lives in fear is easier to control. And despite countless dodgy graphs presented by SAGE scientists, the mainstream media gives them a free ride and they are never challenged when the information is proven to be either false or wildly exaggerated.

Similarly the First Ministers of Scotland and Wales fail to receive the scrutiny that so-called journalists ought to be deploying now that the facts about this virus are so publicly available. Take Mark Drakeford's press briefing on the 27th of November. During that broadcast he claimed that the reproduction rate of the virus in Wales 'could be as high as 1.4'. However, five days later a report demolished that claim. The Technical Advisory Group are the Welsh verson of SAGE and advise Drakeford's government. Their report, dated the same day as Drakeford made his claim, stated: "As reported by SAGE, the R value in Wales is estimated to be between 0.8 and 1.0 (the same as last week)".

This huge discrepancy was reported by the Daily Post in North Wales, but in Drakeford's following press briefing not one journalist asked him about it. The mainstream media are so complicit in this conspiracy they are acting like state media.

So why did Drakeford lie about the R rate? Primarily to justify his lockdown measures, a by-product of which is to maintain fear. That press briefing took place a week before the hospitality sector was forced to close by his alcohol ban, something which is only being voted on in the Senedd today - four days after the industry shut. This is in itself an affront to democracy and to all those landlords and landladies who may never open their doors again.

The puritanical spite of Drakeford was highlighted again last week when a TV advertising campaign on behalf of Welsh drinks producers was effectively banned. With positive cases likely to rise again in the New Year, the direction of travel for the First Minister appears to be full-on prohibition. By closing pubs he will have forced people to socialise indoors where there are no control measures in place. But this isn't the only reason that cases are likely to spike again.

In addition to the Christmas 'dispensation' on family gatherings, Wales is currently rolling out the new rapid result lateral flow tests. This will boost the case rate far more than indoor gatherings as mass testing equals more cases. Make no mistake, Wales will be closed again in January, and ironically the arrival of the vaccine has only increased this prospect. Drakeford will be keen to make the most of his draconian powers while he can still justify them.

GOOD ON MILLWALL

Back in September when the latest football season commenced, it did so without the presence of fans in stadia. The pandemic coincided with the rise of Black Lives Matter and the football authorities seized on a perfect opportunity to lend their support without any potential flashpoints. Absurdly the custom of 'taking the knee' is still happening at football matches three months later, but now that fans are being allowed back in to some games they are able to voice their opinions about it either way. At Millwall and West Ham United's home games they did just that.

However, only Millwall have been singled out for condemnation by the woke media. A full-on cover-up appears to have been put in place about West Ham fans, with the only significant news report of it being deleted (see below). Thankfully, one Twitter user recorded it, although the commentators appear to completely ignore it. Could it be that Millwall - a club with a notorious set of fans - have been scapegoated by a media whose agenda is to show that discontent with the BLM project is isolated and to be found just at one club?

Of course there is anger at BLM, particularly in the nation's capital where BLM thugs ran riot in the streets and desecrated sacred monuments such as the Cenotaph. Imagine how angry ordinary fans must have been sat at home while their players sported the name 'Black Lives Matters' on the back of their shirts and took the knee. While the sanctimonious Piers Morgan took to his morning slot with a pathetic swipe at how 'stupid' Millwall fans are, it could be asked how such a superior intellect can fail to see that BLM was founded by Marxists with an insidious agenda of using race as a means to undermine and destroy Western civilisation. Only a Marxist or an idiot would support such an organisation - which one are you Piers?

While the media won't generally sanction anti-BLM commentary, there were plenty of dissenting voices online. Actor and budding politician Laurence Fox was embroiled in a lengthy Twitter spat with the odious Morgan and challenged him to allow him on Good Morning Britain. That challenge effectively silenced Morgan as he wasn't interested in giving Fox TV airtime. Blue Labour's Paul Embery also defended Millwall fans by pointing out they had twice voted black midfielder Jimmy Abdou their player of the season. Tory minister George Eustice courted media controversy by saying that BLM is a "political movement that is different to what most of us believe in". His comments sparked headlines such as: "Minister fails to condemn Millwall fans".

Brendan O'Neill wrote an excellent piece for his Spiked blog on the incident, writing: "The Millwall incident was fairly minor in the scheme of things. But the furious, even demented response to it is incredibly revealing. It confirms that there is a chasm-sized gap between the elites and ordinary people. And it confirms that the woke elites will brook no dissent whatsoever to their divisive agendas of critical race theory and woke re-education. I predict more booing. I hope there’s more booing". He also appeared on Sky News Australia to discuss it - he was probably not welcome at British Sky as they have done more than most to push the BLM agenda. Click below to watch.

The more they force feed BLM down the throats of ordinary people the more people will regurgitate it and push back. The BBC's decision to have fictional character the Vicar of Dibley give a BLM 'sermon' in her Christmas special will do nothing but thicken that wedge between the corporation and ordinary working class folk.

ANOTHER MAN UTD POLITICAL PUNDIT

Following months of media-driven whining from Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, we have now been afforded the political insight of one of his predecessors. Retired defender Gary Neville spoke to Sky's Sophy Ridge on Sunday and lashed out at the UK government's coronavirus tier system. Neville is a native of tier 3 Greater Manchester. However, his criticism was not limited to the government and he slammed Labour's decision to abstain when the Commons voted on the measures. "You've got to take a position and be bold and go against it, you cannot abstain", explained Gary, adding: "When you're elected, when you're in that seat in Westminster - you take a position".

The lockdown tiers vote may not be the last time Labour abstain this year. Starmer, reportedly keen on backing a Brexit deal, is facing a frontbench revolt and major backbench rebellion if he whips MPs into doing so. You wouldn't bet against him bowing down and sitting on the fence again for that vote - assuming that a deal is struck in the first place.

DEAL OR NO DEAL

Suggestions that Boris may capitulate following the departure of Dominic Cummings have not come to fruition, with UK negotiators appearing to stand firm. Even if a deal is struck it could still be vetoed by EU member states, with France the likely stumbling block. Any short-term hit to the UK economy in the event of a clean break will probably be barely noticeable thanks to the government's economy-trashing Covid strategy.

If it weren't for the cowardice and complicity of the last Parliament, all this could have been dealt with last year and a post-Brexit Britain would have been back on its feet by the time the virus came calling. Instead we face a crippling recession and may never be able to show that remoaners and project fear were wrong all along.
