Keir Starmer has immediately become embroiled in another Corbyn-related row after it emerged his predecessor may not have been readmitted to the Parliamentary Labour Party.  While there is no doubt that Corbyn's party membership has been restored, there is confusion as to whether the party whip has been restored.  This has led to an avalanche of calls on Wednesday morning for Starmer to keep Corbyn out of the PLP.

Starmer refused point blank to answer questions about the issue when he was doorstepped by journalists this morning.  The BBC reports that 'at least one Jewish MP is considering resigning' if Corbyn is readmitted to the PLP.  This will be Margaret Hodge.
