THERE'S STILL TIME FIONA

This time tomorrow the recall petition against Fiona Onasanya will be open to her constituents.  Onasanya has refused to speak to journalists since her release from prison, but her office has stated that she missed last Thursday's Brexit votes because of 'medical reasons'.  Onasanya did attend Parliament earlier in the week, voting against May's deal and also to block no deal.  In doing so she became the first MP to enter the Commons whilst wearing an electronic tag.  Peterborough voted to Leave the EU by 61%.

Online polling run by the Cambridge News is currently showing a large majority in favour of Onasanya being kicked out of Parliament...

The recall petition to get Onasanya removed from office opens at 07:00 in the morning and will run for six weeks.  At least 6,967 registered voters must sign it in order for it to be successful.  At the last election 47,738 people voted, 22,950 of them for the Labour candidate Fiona Onasanya.  However, she is no longer a Labour member.

The signing locations are as follows;

Bedford Hall, Station Road, Thorney, Peterborough, PE6 0QE
Bretton Library, The Cresset, Rightwell, Bretton, Peterborough, PE3 8DS
Dogsthorpe Library, Central Avenue, Dogsthorpe, Peterborough, PE1 4LH

The Bull, Guntons Road, Newborough, Peterborough, PE6 7QW

The recall petition will cost around £500,000 to run, funded by the taxpayer.  There's still time to do the decent thing, Fiona...

UPDATE

Fiona released a bizarre video earlier today in which she insisted she is innocent and will not resign.  She presented her four and a half minute video in front of a New York backdrop.  Like we said, bizarre...
